The Philadelphia
Sports Medicine Congress
This is the 11th year of the annual Philadelphia Sports
Medicine Congress. This year our program will
include a wide variety of sports medicine topics
including patellofemoral dysfunction, in-season
management of MCL injuries, and radiology for the
athletic trainer and physicial therapist just to name a
few. These topics will be presented by experts in the
field of sports medicine.
We will continue the tradition of honoring an
outstanding team physician and an outstanding
athletic trainer with our Joe Torg and Ted Quedenfeld
awards. This year’s Joe Torg award winner is Dr.
Arthur Bartolozzi from Booth, Bartolozzi, Balderston
Orthopaedics. Dr. Bartolozzi has been the team
physician for most of our beloved Philadelphia sports
teams and still takes care of many of our local
professional and collegiate athletes.
Cliff Fawcett, FNP, ATC, from the Springfield
Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute is our
Ted Quedenfeld award winner. Cliff was instrumental
in starting the Philadelphia Sports Medicine Congress.
We are thrilled to have Philadelphia native, the
Honorable Governor Ed Rendell as this year’s keynote
speaker. As always, our pledge to you, the participant,
is to provide excellent speakers on the most cutting
edge sports medicine topics at reasonable cost. We
look forward to seeing you on June 11th.
Sincerely,
Arthur R. Bartolozzi, MD
