◙ Resource

~~~ DEDICATION ~~~
For all the lives that have been touched by domestic violence, and for
all those who work courageously to help break the cycle.
~ Sacramento Domestic Violence Prevention Collaboration ~
2013 SACRAMENTO REGIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
RESOURCE DIRECTORY:
This project began in 2006 as a focus of the Sacramento Domestic
Violence Prevention Collaboration (SDVPC) to enhance access to
DV- related resources in the Sacramento region. Every attempt has
been made to compile both current and accurate information.
Inclusion of a particular resource in the directory is not necessarily an
endorsement by the Collaboration.
WHO WE ARE:
The SDVPC originally began in 2003 as a law enforcement
investigators collaboration between the Sacramento
County Sheriff’s Department and the Sacramento City Police
Department. Of primary concern was the cyclical nature of family
violence and the resulting trauma to children.
Due to the wide-range social implications of domestic violence, the
SDVPC quickly grew to include local social service agencies and
non-profit organizations, as well as various law enforcement
departments. The SDVPC now includes over 16 different agencies
and organizations throughout Sacramento County.
The SDVPC created the 2004 and 2005 conferences on Children,
Families and Domestic Violence, and is proud to announce the 2007
Sacramento Regional Domestic Violence Resource Directory.
Our focus continues to be the impact of domestic violence on children
and families, in the hope of someday breaking the cycle of violence.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The Sacramento Domestic Violence Prevention Collaboration is
a multi-agency response dedicated to the prevention of domestic
violence through advocacy, education, intervention, law enforcement,
and coordination of resources.
