This division consists of four sections namely the Service
Section, Administration and Account Section, Disciplinary
Section and the Archive Section and each section has been
assigned with specific tasks and functions.
The main responsibility of this division is the management
of personnel related matters, such as retirement, remuneration,
discipline, official records etc.
There were quite a number of programmes organized
by this division in 2012. However, the publication of the
Department Code of Ethic was historical.

1. Department Integrity Programme 2012
A series of workshops have been conducted throughout the
State to support the programme in the quest to enhance the
level of integrity as well as discipline among the personnel of
the Sabah Forestry Department. By organizing the programme,

it is envisaged that the personnel would gain further knowledge
to be more dedicated, diligent and well equipped in carrying
out their duties. This would ensure a positive perception of the
communities towards the accountability of the Sabah Forestry
Department.
The quality of human resources within the department
should continuously be enhanced in term of skills and
knowledge. These skills and knowledge should be translated
in their performance in the execution of their duties and
responsibilities. An excellent work culture is an aspect
of integrity that should be the pillar of every department
personnel. This would enable them to efficiently, effectively
and transparently serve in line with the objectives of the
department.
The State Government of Sabah has urged every
Government Agency to conduct workshops related to integrity.
The department is obliged and has successfully conducted
such programmes.

conducted 4 series of meetings in 2012 as follows:

3. Issues Raised and Discussed
Issues raised and discussed covered quite a number of things
relating to working condition. Among the things discussed were
issues of allowance and facilities, finance, services, scheme
and personal services, welfare and administrative.
Issues relating to government policy were strictly avoided.
However, policy-related issues were discussed only with the
aim of describing implementation.
Archive Section
In 2012, the Archive Unit of the Personnel Management Service
Division has facilitated the disposing of records in Sandakan
District Forestry Office and Forest Revenue and Expenditure
Division. The Sabah Archive Department has assisted in the
disposing processes.
