ICT Studies and Services New ICT hardware acquired in 2014 In 2014, the ICT Division was allocated a very limited budget for ICT hardware procurement. The distribution of acquired hardware is listed in Tables 10.2, 10.3 and 10.4. In 2014, the ICT Division was allocated the highest amount of State annual budget for upgrading and maintenance of ICT equipment since the formation of the division in 2004. This indicates the increase in utilising ICT equipment and application systems for the day-to-day operation of the department, especially in the fields of mapping, R&D activities, office management, accounting and royalty collections, etc. Chart 10.1 shows the gradual increased trend of annual budget allocation for ICT equipment maintenance for the last eleven years since 2004. The total operation cost of the ICT Division in 2014 was RM576,221.00. The major annual expenses are tabulated in Table 10.1. The remaining 8% and 5% of the budget were spent on the transportation and travelling expenses, and procurement of ICT equipment. 0.60M Location No. of PC No. of Colour Laser Printer No. of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Sugut SFM Project Office 3 3 3 Total Cost: RM14,987.00 0.58M Amount (RM) Million 0.50M 0.40M 0.37M 0.30M 0.21M 0.20M 0.13M 0.10M 0.00M 0.24M 0.26M 0.30M 0.32M 0.29M 0.20M 0.10M New microcomputers & printers acquired for the Sugut SFM Project. 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 Year Table 10.4: New ICT equipment acquired for the exhibition of SFD Centennial Celebration in 2014 Chart 10.1: State Annual Budget for maintenance from 2004 to 2014. 52+8+355 Location No. of TouchScreen Computer No. of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Deputy Director’s Office (FSP) 2 2 Project Management & General Services Division 2 2 ICT Division 1 1 5% 35% 52% g Maintenance and Repair of Office Machines and Computers g Transport and Travelling g Supply of ICT Stationary g ICT Equipment Procurement Total Cost: RM25,995.00 8% Chart 10.2: Break down of Annual Expenditure for 2014. 73 ICT Studies and Services Sabah Forestry Department New Touch-Screen computers acquired for the exhibition of the Sabah New Laptop computers, microcomputers & peripherals acquired Forestry Centennial Celebration in Kota Kinabalu, November 2014. under State budget Update on maintenance of ICT equipment As the ICT Division was allocated a substantial amount of state annual budget for maintenance and upgrading of ICT equipment, many of the obsolete computers and peripherals at the HQ and District Forestry Offices were repaired and upgraded.
