The EZ-RJ45® Connectors, (see cable
connector selector chart below) simplify twisted
pair terminations by allowing the wire to be
inserted through the connector and out the
front. This allows the technician to easily verify
the proper wiring order (the 568A and 568B
wiring chart below). Electrical performance of
the termination is optimized by pulling the
connector down over the cable jacket and
seating it tightly in the rear of the connector. It
also guarantees that the wires will be properly
flush to the front of the connector.

Cable Assembly Procedures
1. Strip off approximately two (2) inches of outer jacket.

2. Straighten and align pair wires per T568B. Trim pair wires with
the cutter built into the EZ-RJ45® hand tool.
3. Insert wires into EZ-RJ45® connector.

4. Pull tight to ensure jacket is about 1/4 to 5/16 of an inch into the
connector.
5. Verify wire locations and orientation.

6. Insert EZ-RJ45® connector into hand tool.
7. Verify connector is completely seated and cable is fully inserted.

8. Squeeze handle.

9. Remove excess wires.

10. Check jacket strain relief.
11. Check that contacts are all engaged.
12. Check that contact dividers are not damaged.
13. Check to see if both ends of the cable have been terminated,
perform continuity test.
