How to Measure for a Proper Fit
If possible, have someone else take your measurements.

Neck: Measure around
neck, just below adam’s
apple, allowing a finger
width of room.
Gloves: Measure around the largest part
of the hand, over the knuckles, while
making a fist. Exclude the thumb.
Convert from inches to glove size:
7 to 7-1/2" = Small
8 to 8-1/2" = Medium
9 to 9-1/2" = Large
10 to 10-1/2" = X-Large
Chest/Bust: Measure around
fullest part with the tape high
up under arms with arms at
sides. (For women, around
fullest part of bust.)
Sleeve: Measure from center of back (between
shoulders), out to shoulder, and down to wrist.
Uniform Trousers
Inseam: While standing, measure along inside
leg from crotch seam down to desired length.
Waist: Measure around waistline over shirt. Do not measure over
belt or waistband. Do not allow tape to sag.
Caps or Helmets:
To measure the
circumference of your
head, position a tape measure in the
middle of your forehead, wrap it around
