Kamper with Extended Tent Body
One of the biggest changes to Kimberley Kampers canvas
over the years has been to the main tent body. Prior to
2005, all Kampers featured a “Standard Tent Body” - this is
easy to identify by the slope of the back wall. A “Standard
Tent Body” back wall slopes down and out from top to
bottom. To allow you to fully use the floor space in the
Kamper we created the “Extended Tent Body” - this slopes
down and in from top to bottom.
It is critical to know which Kamper Tent Body you have
when ordering Canvas options as our awnings are made
specifically to suit the different bodies. Throughout this
catalogue any awnings with “ST” in the description are
designed to only suit Kampers with Standard Tent Bodies.
If a description doesn’t feature “ST” it is designed to suit an
Extended Tent Body.

Our longest-serving awning - this is a smaller
awning than the Kwik Awning. It requires 5x upright poles and can easily be left on when packing up the Kamper. For extra protection from the
elements you can simply add a UNI wall to either

camp for short stays, our 2.0 x 6.7m Kwik
Awning is perfect for you. This can be erected
with no ground poles and can be folded away
with the Kamper for a quick pack up. If you need
extra protection from the elements, add 2 poles
& simply zip on some lightweight walls for a cosy
enclosed room. These walls feature large clear
windows to make the awning area feel bigger.

This unique roof stays on the camper all the time and automatically erects when the camper opens.

TENT BODY MODIFICATIONS
Most Awning / Bedroom / Ensuite canvas addition require a special Zip on the body of the Kamper for attachment:
• Awnings require a zip that runs the full length of the Kamper from front awning through to
the back - these Zips are built-in as standard on the Passenger side of Kamper but can be
added to the Driver’s side for awnings on both sides. However, passenger-side zip must be
added at time of manufacture.
• Side Bedrooms (ST) require zips on drivers-side wall of tent body.
• Rear Bedrooms require Zip around rear wall door on an Extended Tent Body - most latemodel Kampers have these included as standard but it is best to check the individual Kamper before ordering accessories.
• Ensuites use the same drivers-side wall zip as side bedrooms.

Diesel Space Heater
GVX_SPACE _HEATER
When the Karavan was released, the air-heater of
choice was the 2 speed Space Heater. It is so much
quieter than the larger high speed fan heater and
also more economical.
This heater operates by circulating the heating fluid
from the hot water system through it’s tubed heat
exchanger.
There is a choice of 2 “super quiet” fan speeds that
have as much noise as a computer fan.
This unit will operate as long as the hot water circuit
is functioning which can be programmed to come
on at any time of the day or night for a set period of
time.
The Hot Water system is over 4kW of power with
about half of that power available at the heater.
It is located under the driver’s side of the liftup bed
frame facing towards the centre of the Kamper.

Safer travel at speed or with an upgraded vehicle rear suspension. Yes, there is a
speed limit and we ask all customers to adhere to it. There are times when even
at this limit, it may be a little too fast for your rig if you hit a serious pot hole! You
may have upgraded your vehicle suspension to a stiffer rear end which can also
create increased sway. This is no simple sway bar, as it fits snugly to existing
Kampers ABOVE the swing arms for added protection from flying debris.
Powerglide Assist KPR Closing

The Powerglide winch is mounted in the centre of the rear of the Delta
Gullwing and utilises a wide strap to lift up and close down tight, the
Kamper floor. It is not used in opening the Kamper as this can be
done with one hand very easily. The winch also is used for loading the
Kimberley RIB and frame onto the Kamper roof rack.
