RED BULL BC ONE IN BARCELONA
The Red Bull BC One competition will land at the Montjuic amphitheatre in Barcelona
on July the 3rd to display one of the biggest B-Boys shows at an international level.
B-Boying is one of the most popular forms of urban culture. Barcelona is one of the 5
world sites that will host the qualifying rounds preceding the Red Bull BC One Final
2011 that will take place in Russia on November the 26th, 2011. The Red Bull BC
One Qualifier in Barcelona guarantees a one-of-a-kind show where 16 of the best
international B-Boys will compete for a place in the world finals. Saying the impressive
outdoor site of the old Montjuic amphitheater will provide a unique atmosphere is an
understatement.
The Red Bull BC One of Barcelona is one of the official acts of the Festival Grec of
Barcelona (the city’s main festival of arts) that will run from June 17 until July 31st,

B-BOYING
B-BOYING
The B-boying -also known as break dancing- is an expression of the hip-hop culture,
an unknown movement by the general public based on principles of peace, unity
and respect. As a dance discipline, B-boying is continually gaining in professionalism
and followers, and more and more dance companies include this specialty in their
repertoires.
In essence, B-boying combines a series of aerobic movements, acrobatics and
rhythmic, influenced by other disciplines ranging from aboriginal dances, the martial
arts, to the gym or funk.

WAY TO THE FINAL
RED BULL BC ONE QUALIFIER SPAIN 2011
In the Barcelona qualifier will compete 16 of the best B-boys of Europe: Menno
(Holland), Hurricane Ray (Holland), Xisco (Netherlands), Kido (Netherlands), Khalil
(France), Niggaz (Francia), Grazy (Spain), Sunni (UK) Airdit (Germany), Lagaet
(Portugal), Bruce Almighty (Portugal), Soso (France), Lawson (Belgium), Armstrong
(Ireland), EzMike (Switzerland) and Chey (Spain).
The 16 participants, mostly self-taught, will test their high standards, demonstrating
not only a spirit of sacrifice out of the ordinary and their fitness equal to that of many
elite athletes, but also their character and good reputation within the B-boy scene.
Their goal: to get a place to compete in the World Grand Final Red Bull BC One, to be
held in Russia next November 26.

THE GALICIAN HIP HOP BAND WILL PLAY AT RED
BULL BC ONE
Loko23, Dais, Lsebe, F. Elextranjero and DjLaese are Delahoja, one of the most
renowned hip-hop bands of the national scene. Their live is considered by audience
and critics as one of the best rap lives.
Although the quintet from Pontevedra gained fame thanks to Barça goalkeeper
José Manuel Pinto -who signed them for his record label Wahim Makino-, and Leo
Messi -who revealed through his Facebook that ‘Nuestra B.S.O.’ was the most
played song in the Barça locker room, Delahoja is a reference in the national hiphop scene since its formation in 1995.

Timber, also known as the ‘Grand Supreme Timber Machine’, began in Belfast in
1999 with the hip hop culture, break dancing and Deejaying. Soon discovered the
world of soul, funk and Latin music and in 2001 he left his homeland to move to
Manchester, England, eager to find more albums and more about their beloved
culture ‘B-boyin’. In 2008, he changed his residence again, moving under the
Spanish sun in Barcelona, with a worldwide reputation as a DJ and B-boy. Timber
has played in over 20 countries, has won break dance championships in Europe
and America and beyond his job in the world of B-boyin’ he is also known by his
exquisite collection of 60s and 70s ‘salsa dura’ and Latin music.
