OPS2 Signature Series
PROGRAMS
Our OPS2 Signature Series features new U.S. manufactured product
made to major manufacture standards. Enjoy the ability to customize
your stations with benching options, glass and fabric mullions, stackers,
and our largest selection of fabrics and finishes.
Within the Signature Series, we utilize an aluminum top cap and onepiece rail where the slot channel and trim color are the same. In addition
to styling, the one-piece rail is beneficial when connecting panels of
different heights are in a straight line. The 4-circuit power utilized has
the outlets located in the middle of each panel, allowing for two duplex
receptacles on each side of 24”- 60” panel. Attached to the power
harness are the jumpers for power continuation from panel to panel and
panel through connector.

OPS2 Sustainable Series
Though Open Plan Systems has become a leader in manufacturing new systems furniture, we are proud of our roots in remanufacturing. Remanufactured stations
typically provide up to 40% savings off the cost of new, though they are held to the same standards of quality and durability. Under the OPS2 Sustainable Series, our
Promotional, C2, and Quick Ship options allow us to provide our greatest discounts through the remanufacturing of panel cores, connector cores, and overheads.
Within the Sustainable Series, the top cap is plastic, a two piece rail system where the slot channel is always black, and the rail shell is the same as the trim
color. The 4-circuit power outlets are located 10 inches from the end of the base on each side, two duplex receptacles on each side of 30”- 60” panel and
one on each side of a 24” panel. Separate jumpers are used to connect power from one panel to another.

Every year, more than $1.5 billion in new
Herman Miller© product is sold. Usually,
old furniture is sent to a landfill or storage
and never made useful again. More energy
is used, harmful emissions and waste
are created, and virgin materials are
consumed to produce new furniture. We
remanufacture first life products and reengineer them to look, feel, and function
like new while using a small fraction of the
energy and raw materials. Remanufactured
workstations contribute to points in the
U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED™
Certification program.

Paint
Our commitment to the environment extends
beyond our product and into our philosophy.
That is one of the reasons we use powder
coat paint. Not only is powder coat paint free
of harmful solvents and VOC’s, but 100% of
leftover paint is reclaimed.

About Open Plan Systems
Based in Richmond, Virginia, Open Plan Systems remanufactures Herman Miller AO2 systems furniture to provide a highquality, low-cost, and environmentally-friendly source for modular furniture. Remanufactured office furniture looks and
feels like new, with savings of 35% or more. With 30 years of office furniture industry experience, Open Plan Systems has
developed into the largest remanufacturer of Herman Miller A02 on the East Coast with dealers in over 30 states carrying our
product lines. Open Plan Systems is a leading distributor of seating, case goods, and filing systems, and has developed the
innovative tile system and modular walls.
We realize system furniture is an investment which is why we only remanufacture used Herman Miller© AO2 systems
furniture or new product manufactured to the same specifications. Just like the original, our products are built to stand
the test of time. All of our remanufactured products are backwards compatible with the original product.
Our Facility
Our 10-acre complex includes 135,000 square feet of manufacturing, shipping and administration buildings, as well as a
recently acquired 125,000 square foot receiving and production prep facility. We have invested over $2 million in our state-ofthe-art manufacturing facility, allowing us to offer consistent and efficient turnaround times, some as short as 2 weeks from
receipt of order.
Sustainability is the core of the remanufacturing process. Sustainable practices,
including recycling, add even more value to our product lines, and reduce our
impact on the environment.
UL-Approved
We take an active interest in the safety of your workplace. Every fabric we use is class A
fire rated and our remanufactured products are approved by Underwriters Laboratories
Incorporated. Many insurance policies have clauses limiting the insurance company’s
liability in the case of a claim due to the failure of a non-UL-listed device.

All of our new and remanufactured system products are covered by a 10-year
warranty.
All of our new seating products are covered by a 5-year warranty on parts and a
2-year warranty on fabric.
