The newest asset to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort will officially open in December and will provide a multitude of services under one roof for resort guests and Rental Owners. The $7.5 million, 40,000 square foot Welcome Center will serve as the primary location for guest registration, but will also centralize resort operations creating an efficient and convenient experience for all. “We are all looking forward to occupying our new facility as it will serve as a billboard for the ‘new Sandestin,’” said Tom Becnel, chairman of Sandestin Investments. “While a convenient focal point for our guests and customers, it also serves as a symbol of our commitment for smart growth and development while enhancing the overall Sandestin experience.” The three-story Sandestin Welcome Center was designed by Piazza Design Architects and features a spacious, two-story lobby area with majestic views of Choctawhatchee Bay and a signature water fountain. Those entering the facility will also notice the iconic Sandestin sand dollar imprinted on the lobby floor, a symbol of our welcoming all to the picturesque Emerald Coast. Guests will also enjoy the latest technology with dynamic touch screen digital displays providing a unique orientation to the 2,400-acre Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. A spacious third floor “L” shaped balcony features a decorative gazebo area with amazing views of the bay, marina and the Grand Sandestin – a premier venue soon to be hailed as the best new event location on the Emerald Coast for weddings, receptions, parties, private gatherings, and more. “We are extremely excited to open the new Welcome Center and create an even better first impression of the resort for our guests and Rental Owners,” said Mark Hodgdon, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. “We are very proud of what this structure represents and we look forward to welcoming everyone that passes through its doors.” The new Sandestin Welcome Center is located on the northeast corner of Highway 98 and Sandestin Boulevard, at the main north gate entrance of the resort. While the facility will serve as the main check-in point for Guest Registration, it will also be the base for multiple resort departments under one roof including: Accounting, Front Office, Human Resources, Rental Owner Relations, Reservations, Retail, Sales and Marketing, and Sandestin Real Estate (SRE). Children's Healthcare Fundraising Leadership Division Representatives have been supporting Children's Healthcare for many years, raising nearly $450,000. The goal for this year is to raise $45,000 which will go to the Strong4Life program. Each bank is asked to hold a fundraiser, purchase Big Bucks Bonanza tickets or simply send a donation to CBA made payable to Children's Healthcare. Please send your donation and Big Bucks Bonanza tickets to the CBA office by June 1st. It’s that time of year again… Time to be thinking of who you are going to nominate for 2015 Leadership Division Representative of the Year. Keep in mind the honoree is nominated by fellow Leadership Division Representatives, and the judging is based on the individual’s participation with PAC/PR golf tournaments, Children’s Healthcare fundraising, scholarship challenge, and enthusiasm in CBA and Leadership Division activities and events. Please take a moment to recognize an outstanding individual who’s making a difference in Georgia. The winner will be announced at the 37th Annual Leadership Division Convention & Mini-Trade Show, June 12-15, 2015.
