Jackfish Lake Campground Jackfish Lake Campground and day use area is located 20 minutes North East of the town of Athabasca. This campground offers a great getaway without the long drive. The lake provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing and recreational boating. Open from May 1 to September 30. No Reservations. To reach our campsite from the east on Highway 55 turn north on Range Road 214 then west on Township Road 27, North on Range Road 213 and follow the signs. The hall and park both proudly remain. The Park is located on the shores of Long Lake, and offers 2 beaches, swimming, fishing, canoeing, recreational boating and hiking. Open from May 1 to September 30. Reservations may be made 30 days prior to the first night of stay. Please call the campground directly at 780‐675‐5253, May 1 to September 30 or call 780‐ 675‐2273 during the off season. If you are traveling from Edmonton take Highway 2 North to Highway 663 then west for 23 km. Hope Lake Campground Escape to Hope Lake Campground located just 17 km Northeast of Boyle. This campground is a great getaway for anyone looking for a quiet family oriented vacation. The campground offers a great beach, swimming, hiking trails, fishing, canoeing and there is a boating restriction on the lake of 12 km/hr. Hope Lake also has excellent ATV trials close by, though we do not allow ATVs in the campground we do have a locked ATV compound located just outside of the campground. Open from May 1 to September 30. Reservations may be made 30 days prior to the first night of stay. To reserve please call 780‐689‐7911. Baptiste Lake Campground Baptiste Lake is located on the west side of the County and is a popular recreation lake with locals and visitors alike. The sites in this campground are best suited to tents and smaller camping units. There is a beach, fishing, canoeing, hiking and access to the Summer Villages of Baptiste Lake. Open from May 1 to September 30. The lake and area offer some great fishing, boating, hiking and off site access to quadding trails, though we do not allow ATVs in the campground. Open from May 1 to September 30. No reservations. This campground offers fishing, canoeing, but there is a 12 km/hour boat speed limit enforced on the lake. Open from May 1 to September 30. No reservations. Nice spot for a picnic! Located West of Boyle on Highway 63. Boyle Fish Pond Bring the family out for a nature walk and wiener roast at the Boyle Fish Pond. The pond is stocked each spring with trout for your angling pleasure. The rest area is located South of Boyle on Highway 831. Rochester Rest Area When traveling north on Highway 2, the Rochester Rest area is just 1 km north of Highway 661. Take a break, relax, and rejuvenate before you head back out on the open road.
