GENERAL INFORMATION
Vision
Being an institution
recognized for the
excellence of its
programs and
professional services,
specialized in treatment
and prevention of
addiction to
psychoactive substances,
as well as for the warmth
toward vulnerable
people.
By way of:
A strong financial structure which allows
the sustainability of the Institution and
the development of its human resources.
A human operating team, professional,
committed, with sense of direction to
the user and collaborative work;
Effective action strategies and
operational excellence that generate
habits of protection for addiction
prevention and interventions that
promote harm reduction and social
reincorporation of users.
ANNUAL REPORT 2014
To walk alongside vulnerable people and their families, offering a
professional space on prevention, risk reduction, and drug addiction
treatment, as well as critical situations resulting from all the above,
with the goal of diminishing personal, family and social suffering.
JUVENTUD, LUZ Y ESPERANZA IAP
Mission
Our methodology is based on the ECO2 Model, which was
developed by Mexican organizations advised by European
experts, having in mind the following goals:

Outpatient
Treatment
Treatment for
Relatives
Program for Minors in Conflict
with the Law
To modify the negative concept of
him or herself as well as life
concepts, which might put him/her
at risk of becoming a drug user.
To create a structured life
environment, which would allow
him/her to adopt habits, norms
and rules to his/her lifestyle.
To rehabilitate his/her skills to face
crisis situations.
To provide autonomy.
To achieve and
maintain
abstinence.
JUVENTUD, LUZ Y ESPERANZA IAP
Treatment
The Juventud, Luz y Esperanza
IAP Treatment Program, uses a
Day
Center
Therapeutic
Community model.
ANNUAL REPORT 2014
Care Programs
The JLE-Luciérnagas program is taken to school communities, located within a
psychosocial risk environment that often leads to drug addiction.
It is based on two strategies :
Selective Prevention and Universal Prevention.
Objective:
To raise public awareness in the vulnerable population, such as
young people, regarding protective resources within their reach
in order to prevent psychoactive drug consumption and other
associated risks.
ANNUAL REPORT 2014
The Prevention and Other Psychosocial Risks Program that we carry out
at Juventud, Luz y Esperanza is
named
“JLE-Luciérnagas”
(JLEFireflies), since we help them
recognize that, like fireflies, we have
a light of our own in all the stages of
our lives which naturally guides us
toward protection.
