By way of: A strong financial structure which allows the sustainability of the Institution and the development of its human resources. A human operating team, professional, committed, with sense of direction to the user and collaborative work; Effective action strategies and operational excellence that generate habits of protection for addiction prevention and interventions that promote harm reduction and social reincorporation of users. ANNUAL REPORT 2014 To walk alongside vulnerable people and their families, offering a professional space on prevention, risk reduction, and drug addiction treatment, as well as critical situations resulting from all the above, with the goal of diminishing personal, family and social suffering. JUVENTUD, LUZ Y ESPERANZA IAP Mission Our methodology is based on the ECO2 Model, which was developed by Mexican organizations advised by European experts, having in mind the following goals: Modalities Semi-Residential Treatment Outpatient Treatment Treatment for Relatives Program for Minors in Conflict with the Law To modify the negative concept of him or herself as well as life concepts, which might put him/her at risk of becoming a drug user. To create a structured life environment, which would allow him/her to adopt habits, norms and rules to his/her lifestyle. To rehabilitate his/her skills to face crisis situations. To provide autonomy. To achieve and maintain abstinence. JUVENTUD, LUZ Y ESPERANZA IAP Treatment The Juventud, Luz y Esperanza IAP Treatment Program, uses a Day Center Therapeutic Community model. ANNUAL REPORT 2014 Care Programs The JLE-Luciérnagas program is taken to school communities, located within a psychosocial risk environment that often leads to drug addiction. It is based on two strategies : Selective Prevention and Universal Prevention. Objective: To raise public awareness in the vulnerable population, such as young people, regarding protective resources within their reach in order to prevent psychoactive drug consumption and other associated risks. ANNUAL REPORT 2014 The Prevention and Other Psychosocial Risks Program that we carry out at Juventud, Luz y Esperanza is named “JLE-Luciérnagas” (JLEFireflies), since we help them recognize that, like fireflies, we have a light of our own in all the stages of our lives which naturally guides us toward protection.
