I find myself saying this again, Victoria has had a great year.
Records getting broken and everybody on the improve, but most of all we have a
fantastic group of people.
Tournaments all run extremely well, Victorian Titles at La Trobe with the Hot Tub
made for a great event setting a precedent for all clubs to follow...We wish.
Team spirit is at an all time high, thanks to the leadership of Dave Ryan and our two
great team Captains, Lee Martin and Anthea Collicoat making Nationals a
fantastic time for all, whether it was your first time or one of many.
Victorian Presentation night was one to remember, lots of fun was had by all. Keep
an eye out for Lee Martin making an appearance on the Voice and Leanne
Collicoat on Dancing with the stars ;-)
Putting Victoria on Top was announced, this is the next step for Victoria and I can
see some exciting times ahead with Jorden Christie at the helm. Congratulations to
all who were awarded their trophies on the night and especially well done to Jack
Christie topping of a great year with the Skier of the Year Award.
This year along with the Name Change to Tournament Water Ski Victoria a new
Web site has been put in place and a special thanks must go to Mark Macdonald
for getting this up and going, check it out , www.twsv.com.au
A Special Thank you must go to our Committee because without them behind the
scenes Tournament Water Skiing in Victoria would fall apart and a special thank you
needs to go to Josie Christie who without the committee would not work so
efficiently.
So now it’s your turn to help.

Thank you to TWSA and TWSV for once again offering our Victorians Free Ski
Clinics. We have clinics running in Geelong, Boort and Latrobe during the
months of November and December. Coaches are Dan Oliver, Olivia
Collicoat and Patrick Crisp.

A huge thank you to Craig Stephen for revamping our skiers diary and to Jade
Frankel who has offered to copy them for all participants that attend the
clinics and any new skiers that commence at your club. So let us know if you
need any!

2015 Judges Courses
Sunday 16 August - Level 1 Course Geelong
This is an introductory Judging Course which covers all 3 disciplines of our sport - duration approximately 6 hours

Saturday 10 October - Level 2 Course Bridgewater
Participants need to have held a Level 1 Accreditation for minimum of 2 years and have the required practical
experience. At the outcome of this course participants will be qualified to Judge at L & R class tournaments. It
is recommended that RPL accredited judges complete this course to ensure their knowledge of the rules is
current. Duration approximately 6 hours. For further information please contact Leanne Collicoat

Expressions of interest are also being called for a Trick Writing Workshop to be held on Sunday 11 October also
at Bridgewater. This workshop will focus on improving participants ability to call or write tricks and recognise
credit/not credit tricks and take away the misconception that Trick Judging is hard. Duration 3 hours. Please

[email protected]. These Judges Courses are Nationally Accredited Courses with the TWSA and it is now
TWSA policy that all Tournament judges be nationally accredited.

Calendar
Drivers Course
Level 2 drivers coarse. Interim level 2 drivers course,
Sat 24th/Sun 25th October to be held at 1 Arnold Rd
Bridgewater.[Craigs place] $25.00 to be paid to TWSA
before the weekend.$50.00 to be paid to myself either
before or on the day to cover fuel/food/boat etc. (or
just pay Waldie $75 and he will fwd the payment on to
TWSA). Accommodation is available on site at $20.00
per head paid to Craig, limited spaces, contact Craig
on 0409182050. Skiers are wanted for Sunday, need
some jumpers and trickers, SKI FOR FREE. Bookings are
essential and will close 16th Oct, or when max numbers
[15] are reached, Contact Waldie on 0416044333. Sat
will consist of theory/discussion/test. Sun will be on
driving and towing skiers. Cooked breakfast and light
lunch will be provided. Some basic knowledge of Zero
Off would be necessary

The new TWSV Development squad was selected on the night. The skiers
are: Layne Moroney, Patrick Crisp, Olivia and Anthea Collicoat and Jack
and Bailey Christie.
These skiers will commence their aim for the top at Stoney Park in
September!
