The Academic Registrar invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following academic
programmess tenable at the main campus at Entebbe - Nkumba University for the February 2016

August 2016 Semesters .
The application forms can be picked from the Office of the Academic Registrar from Monday, 4th January
2016. However the Distance Learning students should have returned their application forms by 15th January
2016 in order to report for the Face to Face session which will be starting on 18th January 2016.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
a) Applicants for Degree programs should hold either;
i.
At least 5 passes at UCE obtained at the same sitting and at least two (02) principal passes at
UACE obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent; OR
ii.
Hold a Diploma in the relevant field from a recognized Institution passed at Credit or Distinction
level; OR)
iii.
At least a pass (50%) in Mature Age Entry Examinations.
b) Applicants for Diploma programs should hold either;
i. At least 5 passes at UCE obtained at the same sitting and at least one (01) principal pass plus two
(02) subsidiaries (in subjects done at principle level) at UACE obtained at the same sitting or its
equivalent; OR
ii. Hold a Certificate of at least one (01) years duration from a recognized Institution
passed at Credit or Distinction level.
c) Applicants for Certificate programs should hold;
At least 5 passes at UCE obtained at the same sitting and at least three (03) subsidiary
passes at UACE obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
d) Applicants who hold Academic qualifications obtained from other countries (other than Uganda) should
have them equated and verified by UNEB (and or) NCHE before they could apply.

Application forms are available at a Non – refundable fee of Ugx Shs 50,000/- for all undergraduate
programmes from the Office of the Academic Registrar at the main campus of Nkumba University.
