Lockset Features and Benefits
• Ansi Grade II – Meets light commercial and exceeds residential building requirements.
• All hardware is constructed of solid forged brass.
• All polished brass pieces are PVD finish and will not scratch or tarnish.
• Handle sets include hardware needed to use as dummy handle set.
• Levers
• All levers are reversible except for the dummy levers.
• Entry levers are packaged to be right-handed; instructions in the box show
how to change the handing.
• All entry knobs and levers have adjustable backsets that can be set at either 2-3/8” or 2-3/4” backset.
• The hole bore dimension is 2-1/8” and the cross bore for the latch is 1”.
Handlesets fit 5-1/2” hole to hole center.
• Products contain solid brass cylinders with 2 wide bow keys, and utilize SCI pin depths
and increments.
• Exterior and interior lock sets have concealed screws – this gives the products a more finished appearance.
• Knobs and levers fit 1-3/8” to 1-3/4” door thickness.
• Deadbolts and entry handlesets fit 1-3/4” to 2” Door thickness.
• All products come with a lifetime finish and mechanical warranty.
• Sapphire™ door locks utilize “positive locking”. This means that the unit had to be unlocked
in order to open the door. This prevents the consumer from locking themselves out.
• Competitors utilize “free egress” – this means that the door can be opened while the unit
is in the locked position. Consumers run the risk of locking themselves out.
• Sapphire™ products utilize a 45” latch – this is the degree of rotation required to release the
latch on the unit.
• Extremely beneficial to those consumers who may be handicapped or have a limited range of
motion with their hands.
• All levers are reversible except for the dummy levers.
• All latches and levers are individually spring loaded to prevent handle sag.
• Ease of installation
• In addition to the easy to read and use templates and instruction manuals,
Sapphire™ door locks come with a rotating latch bolt.
• Enables the customer to change the latch-set configuration once the unit has already been
installed in the door.
