Last year a group of 5 students from Year 9 won a silver award for their project work. This year we entered the competition again, we included 11 students from Year 8 and 2 students from Year 6. We are planning to work together with the native speaker who works at our school. We asked a local librarian and historian who is going to help us with the local myths and legends which are the topic of this year's project. * Tourism Project - TURIZMU POMAGA LASTNA GLAVA Last year we took part in a project organized by the Developmental Agency of Upper Carniola. The aim was to find and preserve the old names of houses in the town and its surroundings. Linhart Radovljica: - a scheme of fruit and vegetables offered at school every Wednesday, - a project 'Healthy school', - A new project Culture and Social Capital, - A new project Ethics, - outdoor physical education classes, - sports days (winter sports, hiking, swimming …), - outdoor lessons (science and technology), - charity activities (collecting material for Piali Ashar Alo school in India (stationary in Autmn 2014, toothbrushes and combs spring 2014 and autmn 2014) , Ana's star – collecting food for financially and socially deprived families, co-operation with the Red Cross, Karitas - joint work with the school for the low ability students in Radovljica, - self-service breakfasts with healthy food, - collecting old paper, - flea market (exchange of toys), - drawing, painting, art exhibitions at school, in the local library, elderly people home, - a project 'European village‚, - sorting out litter/ garbagge, - biodynamic garden, school garden, - a visit of a Piali Ashar representative and a lady who runs sharing-givinghelping activities at Light of Hope charity organization, - films, power point presentations on various cultures and the partner countries, - a school web page was created - HP Comenius blog, - TwinSpace - a meetings with pupils' parents in order to discuss the project topics, - literary work, writing poems, stories, comics, - taking part in school performances, - cultural days (our culture vs. Culture of others'), - exploring, presenting holidays/ festivals in Slovenia and around the world, - nature forest trail, - Art workshops, - visits from the librarians from the local library, - a visit from a fairy tale teller, - essays – A strole with the help of imagination, - voluntary work in the kindergarden (9th graders), - voluntary work of older pupils running the sports break (various sport activities during the 20-minute break in the morning), - mountaneering club (a monthly trip to the mountains (1st to 6th graders), - arranging the school surroundings, - creating the happy walls - planning a performance and workshops for New Year with parents and local community members, - recycling (paper, plastic …), - generation help young – old, - Visit to the Slovene School Museum in Ljubljana, - Flash Mob in the Radovljica park, - Traditional games description with a help of grandparents, - Childrens‘ Week, - TRAFFIC SAFTY … *WE HAVE ONLY JUST STARTED …SO WE, YOU and THEY CAN BUILD ON *Thank you for your attention! *This is not the end … Let‘s „Healthy P.I.C.N.I.C.“ on!
