MANAGEMENT TAKEOVERS
We're excited to announce our takeover of management of 11 properties on July the 1st, adding 1,794 units
to our portfolio. This is Hawthorne's largest portfolio takeover since our company's inception in 2009. With
these additional communities our total portfolio unit count has risen to over 21,000. With 10 being located
in Fayetteville, NC and the smaller surrounding cities and 1 in Southern Pines, NC, adding 5 new cities to our
NC footprint. We've had a huge team spanning all departments working rigorously on the transition and
take-over of this portfolio and they have without a doubt truly LIVED IT! all the way through!

Earlier this month, we closed last week with the
addition of 2 new apartment communities to our
portfolio. We're excited to announce that we have
taken over management of Brynn Marr Village
Apartments located in Jacksonville, NC with
196 units and Colony Village Apartments located
in New Bern, NC with 171 units, adding a total of
367 units to our portfolio! These communities
have also given us the opportunity to add 2 new
cities to our portfolio.
We can't wait to introduce Brynn Marr Village
and Colony Village Apartments to our LIVE IT! culture!

What Do You Love Most About HRP?: I would have to say the overall
morale. Everything is geared towards positivity and connecting with not only
residents, but employees as well. It’s an uplifting experience, from the bright
Hawthorne colors to the encouragement to strive to be better!
What Do You Do Outside of Hawthorne?: I’d say I spend half of my time
as a couch potato under the spell of Netflix. The other half of my time outside of
Hawthorne is spent being active, whether it’s a hike or camping trip with
friends...or a run in the park.
If You Had 3 Wishes, What Would They Be?:
1. To spend time with my mother again (I lost her to ovarian cancer in 2010)
2. A trip every year to any place in the world!
3. To be able to eat what I want, when I want, and not have to worry about it effecting my body

HR HAPPENINGS
During the month of June, Hawthorne’s corporate office partnered
with the Human Resources Management Association of Greensboro
& SHRM to participate in the Feed NC Food Drive for the Servant
Center. The Servant Center is a Greensboro organization that provides
24/7 care and support to 21 homeless and disabled veterans. The
Servant Center not only feeds the 21 residents 3 meals per day but also
provides support through case management, life skills, medical care and
mental health counselling.
We are very pleased to announce that Hawthorne’s corporate office donated a whopping 195 pounds out
of the total 262 pounds of food that was collected from this partnership! Way to LIVE IT!
