OUR BUS SERVICE
This booklet provides details of our comprehensive bus services. We aim to service as wide an
area as possible with quality and reliable school transport, at a reasonable cost, for those who
wish to use it.
The service we offer is provided in partnership with Wilfreda Beehive Coach Services, Hodson
Coaches, Lincoln, and our own drivers/minibuses.
We currently offer 6 morning routes and 4 evening routes which are detailed on the following
pages, with route plans. If you wish to take advantage of the service offered then please
complete the forms at pages 12 to 14 of this booklet of this booklet and forward them to
Dianne Hickey, Financial Support Officer in the Bursary at the College.
We will try to consider reasonable requests for stops not already shown if it is feasible to do so
without having a negative impact on the existing route and timings.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE OF THE SCHOOL BUS SERVICE
Agreement between bus users, their Parents or Guardians and Worksop College/Preparatory
School
Child’s/Children’s name(s):
Arrangements for pupils’ journeys to and from school are the responsibility of their parents or
guardians. To assist parents and guardians to discharge this responsibility, the school provides
some bus services. The terms and conditions to use that service are:
1. Transport by School Bus must be arranged for a whole year, applied for in advance and fees
will be charged in arrears through school fees bills at the end of each term.
2. Notice to cease using the school bus must be given in writing one term in advance.
3. Pupils will be allocated on to the route/stop applied for on a first come first served
basis each year.
4. Pupils will be issued with a bus pass for each route and any pupil attempting to travel
on a route where they do not have a bus pass for that route they will be prevented from
travelling; pupils not authorised to travel on the school bus service are not
insured to travel.
5. Pupils must travel to and from School in full school uniform. In exceptional circumstances
this may be waived or amended to reflect a particular activity or circumstance (eg Mufti
days or for school trips where uniform is not required).
6. Good conduct is required at all times. Bullying, shouting, using foul and abusive language,
dropping litter or any other misbehaviour is unacceptable if it is likely to offend other
passengers by making their journeys uncomfortable, dangerous, unpleasant or threatening.
7. Except when embarking or disembarking seat belts are to be worn at all times.
8. During a journey all passengers must accept the authority of the bus driver, without
question, who may ask a passenger to obey a simple instruction or desist from
certain actions.
9. Failure to meet the conditions of 7 and 8 above will result in disciplinary action. Such action
may include the temporary removal from use of the bus service. In the case of very serious
offences Worksop College/Ranby House reserves the right to permanently exclude a pupil
from the bus service.
