With the cheery holidays now behind us until next winter, it’s a busy time of year at the
Gloucester County NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) with efforts underway to organize our Annual Mayors’ Cup Celebrity Golf Tournament coming up on Friday, June 10, 2016, at the lovely RiverWinds Golf Course located in West Deptford, NJ.
Every year this tournament gains higher recognition and this year, we expect many
more local and other celebrities, from diverse backgrounds, to come out and join us.
The funds raised through the generous support of people like you; help support our
commitment to the community we serve. This tournament helps us with the youth and
with women’s issues as we continue to celebrate and recognize Phenomenal Women
of South Jersey and their accomplishments.
The NAACP realizes that we live in the age of globalization and our world and technology is changing. Becoming educated and informed of everything happening around us is
important for today’s communities to be able to take advantage of the great opportunities that come along with organizations like ours.
Without players and the generous contributions made to the Tournament by our business community, nothing we have accomplished over the past 30 years would be possible. Once again, we are looking for corporate and individual sponsorships, and the
promotional opportunities are world class. Please let your friends and business partners

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the tournament format?
The tournament format is a Shotgun start. All groups of players tee off simultaneously from different
holes.
Are team member replacements permitted?
Last minute changes are no problem. Just note that a team cannot win the tournament with less than 4
players on that team. An additional golfer will be added to a threesome and another pair added to a twosome. So, if you do not have a team it is OK, we will put one together for you.
What is a typical schedule of events?
A typical schedule of events is as follows: Registration begins at 11am. Shotgun start at 1pm. Dinner
and Scholarship presentation upon end of round, at about 5:30pm.
What does the player receive for playing?
One round of golf, golf cart, lunch and beer ticket, BBQ dinner and beverage, Goodie Bag, and more.

What are the prizes?

How can I sponsor a hole?
Hole sponsors are offered to those who contribute $200. Hole sponsors receive signage with their company logo at a designated hole.
