GM- 12
Site Preparation for Gazebos
GM- 13
Site preparation needs to be arranged by the customer
Method #1 - Putting Down 4-11 Limestone (Berm Material).
Amount needed is approximately 4 ton of 4-11 limestone (Berm Material) for sizes 8 thru 14, 5 ton for 16'
and oblongs. Cut out grass and put in 5" gravel. Prepare a circle 1 ft. larger than size of gazebo. For example:
For 12 ft. gazebo, prepare circle of gravel 14 ft. in diameter. Also, make sure limestone pad is level.
Gravel is not acceptable. Needs to be LIMESTONE.
Method #2 - Setting floor on concrete pad.
This method is not considered necessary unless local code requires this or when a hot tub is put in gazebo.
Plans of how to pour concrete pad are available upon request from your place of purchase.
Method #3 - Using No Floor and Fastening to Concrete Pad.
Concrete pad is the responsibility of the customer. Plans of how to pour pads are available for all sizes upon
request from your place of purchase.
On-site gazebos have special brackets to fasten posts to concrete.

GM- 14
Method #4 - Using brick floor in gazebo
Customer is responsible to pour concrete pillars in
ground for gazebo to be set on and fastened with
anchor brackets. Bricks are layered after gazebo
is installed. Concrete pillars are responsibility
of customer.
Method #6 - Set post on deck
After gazebo is built and square, fasten posts to
deck surface using Simpson A-24 Brackets.
Method #5 - Using a Platform System
Anytime the terrain where a gazebo is built is not level, a platform is recommended. It is also
recommended that if a gazebo is raised off the ground, steps are installed. If attached to a deck, the floor of
the gazebo should be flush with the deck floor. The customer’s responsibility is to make sure that all underground wires and pipes are marked. For customer assembled gazebos, details of building platform are on
pages 21 to 24 of your dealer manual. For on-site building order of a gazebo with a platform, ground cover
under platform is not included. Digging of holes and lattice around platform is included.
Note: Setting gazebo on
concrete blocks can result in
shifting, causing uneven floor.
Standard Hole:
36" Deep & 8" Diameter

Method #1 - Put Down 4-11 Limestone (Berm Material)
When gazebo will be placed directly on the ground, the site should be
prepared using 4-11 Limestone (Berm Material). First, however, define
the site by creating a circle 1 foot larger than the size of gazebo. Next,
remove grass from within the circle. Then, fill with 5" of limestone,
ensuring that limestone is level throughout.

circle of the gazebo, ensuring that
the bottom of trim is flush along
the bottom of circle. Then secure
in place by driving five screws per
trim section (see Figure 1).
Keeping J-Channel flush with the
inside of trim board (at bottom
of top circle), secure J-Channel to
rafters using three screws at both
ends and at the center (see Figures

Proper Care for your Eze-Breeze Windows
The Vinyl material in your windows is very resilient because of the oils used in manufacturing. In order to keep the resiliency of
your windows, special care must be given as to what type of cleaners are used. Recommended cleaners are as follows:
Woolite—a laundry soap used for fine linens can be found in most grocery stores. Use 1
capful per gallon of water.
Murphy's Oil Soap—an oil-based wood cleaner can be found in most grocery stores.
Use 1 capful per gallon of water.
Special cleaner for Eze Breeze windows can be obtained from the place where you bought
your gazebo.
Warning!!
Do not use any cleaner with ammonia as an ingredient. Windows will become brittle.

Proper Care for Your Gazebo
Outdoor Wood Gazebo
This gazebo is constructed with premium quality A.C.Q. treated southern yellow pine. This
wood was dried after treatment and milled. You do not have to wait for any curing process to
apply a sealant. Even though this wood is first quality and much care has been given to make
sure the craftsmanship is also first quality, it still needs a sealer to protect it from the elements
to avoid any checking, warping, or discoloration. The manufacturer recommends you either
use one of the below sealers, or any high quality sealer. If your unit was ordered prestained,
this prevents the grains of wood from separating and the wood from discoloring. The length
of time a stain lasts is dependant on the quality of the stain used. For details on sealing your
Gazebo see your dealer.
Proper Care for Your Vinyl Gazebo
Vinyl used for gazebos resists most common household stains like oil and grease. It will become dirty like any other product that is exposed to atmospheric conditions. Chalk may also
accumulate on the surface. This is a normal condition for all pigmented materials which are
constantly exposed to sunlight and the elements. Soil, grime and chalk can be simply removed
with the help of your garden hose and a bucket of soapy water. If special stubborn stains cannot be removed with normal household detergents, use the formula below. Always test cleaners
on an inconspicuous area before full use.
Mildew may be a problem in some areas. It appears as black spots on surface dirt and is usually
first detected in areas not subjected to rainfall, such as under the eaves and porch enclosures.
For removal, prepare a solution as shown. CAUTION: greater concentrations may cause damage to the vinyl materials.
Mix together: 1/3 cup detergent (Tide, for example)
2
/3 cup Trisodium Phosphate (Soilax, for example)
1 quart 5% Sodium Hypochlorite (Clorox, for example)
3 quarts water
If the above solution does not readily remove the mildew spots, request a mildew-type cleaner
from your contractor. The chemical agents referenced herein may be hazardous to the user
or the environment. Be sure to follow all precautions and warnings on the product label, and
particularly those which may be necessary to prevent personal injury. Please dispose of these
chemical agents in a manner prescribed by the manufacturer. If you are unsure how to use
or how to dispose of these chemical agents, contact the manufacturer of these products for
instructions.
To remove scratches use Scotch-brite heavy duty scour pad by 3M or Brillo steel wool pads and
rub out scratches.

THE CARE AND CLEANING
OF PGT® EZE-BREEZE® SLIDING PANELS
(IMPORTANT: Carefully read all instructions before proceeding.)
You have just purchased the best vinyl-glazed sliding panel available today. With proper care and cleaning, PGT Eze-Breeze Sliding Panels
will give you years of trouble-free service. The vinyl is a strong, resilient material specially formulated to resist deterioration from the sun's
ultra-violet rays. However, they must be properly cleaned and maintained. Please clean vinyl at least twice a year.
WARNING!: All vinyl sliding panels can be punctured or cut with a sharp object. Remove rings, bracelets and watches when washing. Do not use
any alcohol or ammonia based products or dishwashing detergents/soaps, as they can harm vinyl. Follow cleaning recommendations below.
STEP 1: Allow panels to cool before washing. Thoroughly vacuum all
areas of window frame using the soft brush attachment to
remove loose dirt and dust. Hose off outside window area if
subject to blowing sand or grit.
STEP 2: To release the pressure catch on the top panel, raise the bottom
three panels up to the top, then pull down sharply on all three at
once. Lower all panels to the bottom panel position.
STEP 3: Use a chair to rest the windows on when they are tipped out. To
do this, release the slide latches of the front panel and tip the top
of the panel toward you, resting it on the chair (bottom of panel
stays in track). Repeat with each remaining panel.
STEP 1
STEP 2
STEP 3
STEP 4
STEP 4: Rinse with clear water first. Using a soft cloth and Woolite® or
Murphy Oil Soap® and water, clean face-up portion of the top
panel (outside of the top panel). Spots from hard water mineral
deposits from a sprinkler can be removed with a mixture of warm
water and Woolite or Murphy Oil Soap (one cap-full to one gallon
water). After cleaning, using Murphy Oil Soap will also help
rejuvinate the look of the vinyl. NOTE: For best results, we
recommend a final cleaning with a moderate amount of our Vinyl
Cleaner available from your PGT distributor. It will prolong the life
of your Eze-Breeze Sliding Panels and reduce static electric
charges that attract dust.
STEP 5: Lift top panel. Return it to track by pushing thumb latch back.
Raise the panel to a comfortable working height and clean the
inside. After cleaning, move the top panel to its position at the top
of the window opening. Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the remaining
