Concentrate on defeating the Iron Knuckle first, then work on the Armos. Try to defeat them before they hop off of their pedestals. Once the enemies are eliminated, the door will unlock. GANON’S CASTLE 10 7 START Map Key FOREST 9 2 BATTLEPREPARATIONS Underneath the bridge leading to Ganondorf's Tower, use the Lens of Truth to reveal a secret passage. Inside you will find a group of Fairies surrounded by Deku Scrubs. Deflect the Deku Nuts back at the Deku Scrubs with the Hylian Shield to see what they have for sale. When battle depletes your supplies, revisit this hidden room to stock up again. PAGE 1/5 MASTER QUEST – GANON’S CASTLE 3 DEMOLITION AXE Although the Spirit Medallion was the last Medallion you collected, you should enter the Spirit Chamber first. Head to left of the entrance to Ganon's Castle and look for the door with the Spirit Medallion above it. Inside, eliminate the Torch Slug and Keese, then activate the Eye Switch above the door to drop an Iron Knuckle into the room. Lure the Iron Knuckle near the structure in the middle of the room before you defeat it. The Iron Knuckle will destroy the structure with his axe, revealing a rusty switch. Once the Iron Knuckle is defeated, use the Megaton Hammer to hit the switch and unlock the next door. 7 8 4 BOMBCHU THROUGH Eliminate the Green Bubbles to give yourself some breathing room, then open the small treasure chest. Send a Bombchu through the hole at the top of the bars to activate the Crystal Switch on the other side, unlocking the door. 5 SUN SYMBOL SECRETS Play the Sun's Song to stun the Gibdo and ReDead, then shoot a Fire Arrow to burn the cobwebs covering the hole in the ceiling. Direct the sunlight coming through the ceiling at the sun symbols on the wall with the Mirror Shield to burn them away. Three sun symbols will drop small treasure chests, one of which contains a Small Key. One of the sun symbols will drop a Wallmaster, and another will drop a large treasure chest containing the Golden Gauntlets. The Golden Gauntlets allow you to move even bigger boulders. Collect everything, then reflect sunlight onto the Spirit Medallion above the door to unlock it. THE SPIRIT BARRIER THE KEY ON THE LEDGE Once you're back inside Ganon's Castle, enter the door with the Forest Medallion above it. Defeat the two Stalfos to unlock the next door. Before you enter the room, equip your Iron Boots and use the Longshot to reach the ledge above the door. The Iron Boots will keep you from getting blown off the ledge by the fan, allowing you to collect the Small Key. 9 REACH THE LEDGE Shoot the Eye Switch hidden inside the nearby fan. It will drop a small treasure chest next to you. Shoot a couple Fire Arrows into the Armos to make it explode and it will destroy the Beamos next to it. Equip your Hover Boots and wait for a blast of wind to push you to the ledge where you eliminated the Beamos. 10 6 THE LAST GREAT FAIRY Before you enter the next chamber, exit Ganon's Castle with your new Golden Gauntlets. Cross the rainbow bridge and take a left. The strength of the Golden Gauntlets will allow you to remove the giant boulder at the end of the path. Inside, summon the Great Fairy by playing Zelda's Lullaby. She will enhance your defensive power by reducing the amount of damage enemies inflict on you by half. A white outline around your health will signify the increase in defense. Return to Ganon's Castle. BEAMOS BOMBING From this ledge, shoot a Fire Arrow into the fan with the frozen Eye Switch inside to drop a small treasure chest. Throw Bombs from this ledge to defeat the two nearest Beamos, then jump to the middle pillar and defeat two more. You will see the source of one of the barriers in this room. Shoot a Light Arrow into it to remove the Spirit Barrier from Ganondorf's Tower and finish the Spirit Chamber. Nabooru will take the place of the barrier and you will be warped out to the main room. GANON’S CASTLE PAGE 2/5 MASTER QUEST – GANON’S CASTLE 11 DROP THE ARMOS Jump to the ledge with the locked door and defeat the Beamos on the small pillar nearby. Wait for the fan to stop and jump to the small pillar. Quickly change to the Iron Boots to stand your ground when the fan starts blowing again, then play the Song of Time to make a Time Block appear with an Armos on top of it. Play the Song of Time again and the new Time Block will disappear, dropping the Armos onto the blue switch below. This will unlock the door. 12 ICY RUPEES In this room, you need to collect five Silver Rupees to unlock the door. There are two movable ice blocks that will reset if you send them into the abyss in the far corner. Before you start moving the ice blocks, eliminate the various Keese in the room. Use the Lens of Truth to find the one Keese that's invisible. Next, collect four of the five Silver Rupees in the room. The first Silver Rupee will require climbing on the movable ice blocks and jumping to collect it. The second Silver Rupee is in a hole in the middle of the floor. Use your Hover Boots to collect the third Silver Rupee floating above the abyss in the corner. The fourth Silver Rupee is right below the fifth one, which is encased in red ice. THE FOREST BARRIER Shoot a Light Arrow into the Forest Barrier to remove it from Ganondorf's Tower and finish the Forest Chamber. Saria will take the place of the barrier and you will be warped out to the main room. 13 14 BOTTLED BLUE FIRE 15 SLIDE AND GLIDE Now you can concentrate on removing the red ice that covers the fifth Silver Rupee and the locked door. First, push one of the movable ice blocks in front of the locked door. Climb up and remove the red ice with one of your bottles of Blue Fire. Climb back down and push the block into the abyss to reset it in its original position. Push the same block against one of the ice boulders, then push it again to fill the hole in the floor. Push the other movable ice block over the filled hole so it’s stopped by an ice boulder, then push it against the other ice boulder. Finally, push the block across room so it stops underneath the fifth Silver Rupee encased in red ice. Climb up and melt the red ice with your second bottle of Blue Fire. Collect the last Silver Rupee to unlock the door. Enter the door with the Water Medallion above it. Defeat the Freezzards in the room to clear the area of annoying enemies. A fully-charged spin attack near the Dead Hand at Callout 13 will temporarily turn off the fountain in the middle of the room. Quickly fill an empty bottle with Blue Fire and use it on the red ice blocking the next door. You can repeat the process to melt the red ice surrounding a small treasure chest and Heart. Before you leave you need to fill two bottles with Blue Fire for use in the next room. Unlock the door with a Small Key and go through. 16 THE WATER BARRIER Shoot a Light Arrow into the Water Barrier to remove it from Ganondorf's Tower and finish the Water Chamber. Princess Ruto will take the place of the barrier and you will be warped out to the main room. You can take this opportunity to refill the bottles you used in the Water Chamber at the hidden Fairy Fountain mentioned in Callout 2. GANON’S CASTLE PAGE 3/5 MASTER QUEST – GANON’S CASTLE 17 BOMB FLOWER SECRET Enter the door with the Shadow Medallion above it. Once again you need to collect five Silver Rupees to unlock the door on the other side of the room. Hit the Bomb Flower on the nearby ledge with a Fire Arrow to reveal a small treasure chest on the other nearby ledge. Shoot your Longshot into the small treasure chest to pull yourself to the ledge, then open the small treasure chest. Use the Lens of Truth and Hover Boots to reach the invisible moving platform. Collect the first Silver Rupee on this platform, then use the Hover Boots again to reach the second Silver Rupee next to the Bomb Flower. 21 22 18 COLLECT ANOTHER KEY From the invisible moving platform, use the Hover Boots to reach the platform with the Beamos. Bomb the Beamos to collect the third Silver Rupee. Light the torch with a Fire Arrow to reveal a clear block, which allows you to reach the next platform with two Beamos. Hover to the clear block and eliminate both Beamos with one Bomb. Turn around and shoot an Arrow into the Eye Switch to reveal a small treasure chest with a Small Key inside. BRIDGING THE GAP Use the Lens of Truth to reveal a thin clear path leading to the Beamos. Carefully walk the path and defeat the Beamos to collect the fourth Silver Rupee. Return to the nearby platform and use the Lens of Truth again to see another thin clear path leading past a guillotine to the locked door. When you reach the guillotine, time a roll to jump over the gap and collect the fifth Silver Rupee, unlocking the door. Follow the path to the ledge and enter the next room. THE SHADOW BARRIER THE THIRD RUPEE After collecting the second Silver Rupee, jump back to moving platform. Make your way to the platform at Callout 23. This is another platform that will raise and lower. From here, use your Longshot to reach the Hookshot point. Aim for the top portion of the Hookshot point to make sure you can climb on top of it, then jump down and collect the third Silver Rupee. 24 20 THE SECOND RUPEE Now you must time a jump to the next moving platform below. Take a second to assess the timing of your jump before taking the leap. If you fall into the lava, you must start the room over again. From the moving platform, throw Bombs at the Beamos to eliminate it, then jump to the platform with the giant boulder. The Golden Gauntlets will allow you to pick up and throw the giant boulder, revealing the second Silver Rupee. 23 19 THE FIRST RUPEE Equip the Goron Tunic and enter the door with the Fire Medallion above it. For the third time, you must collect five Silver Rupees to unlock the door at the other end of the room. Jump onto the moving platform. When it moves all the way to the right, quickly jump to the platform at Callout 21. Instead of sinking into the lava, this platform will raise and lower. At the top of its ascent, do a back flip to collect the first Silver Rupee. THE FOURTH RUPEE Jump to moving platform at Callout 24 and ride it to collect the fourth Silver Rupee. You can try to eliminate the Torch Slugs on the nearby platform before jumping over to it, or jump to the platform and defeat them before they knock you into the lava. Pick up the giant boulder and throw it across the room. It will land underneath the fifth Silver Rupee. Shoot a Light Arrow into the Shadow Barrier to remove it from Ganondorf's Tower and finish the Shadow Chamber. Impa will take the place of the barrier and you will be warped out to the main room. GANON’S CASTLE PAGE 4/5 MASTER QUEST – GANON’S CASTLE 25 THE FIFTH RUPEE 28 Use your Longshot to pull yourself back to the Hookshot point. Once again, aim for the top portion of the Hookshot point to make sure you can climb on top of it. From the Hookshot point, equip your Hover Boots and float to the platform at Callout 23. This is the same moving platform you jumped to before. Carefully time a jump onto the giant boulder to collect the fifth Silver Rupee. This will unlock the door and reveal a Hookshot point next to it. Use your Longshot to reach the unlocked door and enter. 26 29 THE FIRE BARRIER END OF THE LINE? At first this room appears to be a dead end. With the Lens of Truth you will see a clear block obstructing the entrance to the final room of the Spirit Chamber. Hidden inside the torch on the right side is a Crystal Switch. Swipe at the torch to activate the Crystal Switch, then enter the last room of the Spirit Chamber when the block is removed. Shoot a Light Arrow into the Fire Barrier to remove it from Ganondorf's Tower and finish the Fire Chamber. Darunia will take the place of the barrier and you will be warped out to the main room. 27 THE KEY TO THE END From here on you must have two Small Keys in your possession to reach the end of the Spirit Chamber. The first locked door is in this room. Play Zelda's Lullaby to reveal a small treasure chest, then use one of your Small Keys to unlock the door. To defeat the Beamos in the next room, time a throw with a Bomb so it explodes in the air near the Beamos. Use your Longshot to make your way over the wall, then use your last Small Key to enter the next room. THE FINAL CHAMBER The Golden Gauntlets will allow you to remove the giant boulder blocking the Spirit Chamber. Remove the giant boulder blocking the door with the Light Medallion above it, then enter the final chamber. You will find that the Spirit Chamber is much easier than the other chambers. In the first room, defeat all of the enemies to unlock the door. 30 THE SPIRIT BARRIER Shoot a Light Arrow into the Spirit Barrier to remove it from Ganondorf's Tower and finish the Spirit Chamber. Rauru will take the place of the barrier and you will be warped out to the main room. The barrier surrounding Ganondorf's Tower will disappear, allowing you access to it.
