Ventolera 90 Points, Wine Advocate
December 31, 2015 Ventolera 2013 Sauvignon Blanc Litoral Vineyard 90 Points, Wine Advocate “….seems extraordinary for the grape and zone. It's a wine with great marine influence whose verticality is aided by the cooling effect of the granite soils. This is a little riper than the Ventolera range with more mid-palate; it is juicy and refreshing. This has a whopping 9.03 grams of acidity with a pH of 3.1 and 13.5% alcohol…matured for two months in contact with the lees. An austere, serious and fresh Sauvignon at great price. Ventolera was the pioneer to bring water to the Leyda Valley from the Maipo River, where they now cultivate 161 hectares of vineyards; the lion's share is for Sauvignon Blanc (76 hectares) and Pinot Noir (53 hectares)….Cool climate wines. Only some 25,000 bottles per vintage.” – Luis Gutierrez, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate Elixir Wine Group / Bend, Oregon, USA / elixirwinegroup.com 5 541.388.5330 / [email protected] Argentina / Chile / Uruguay / Mexico / France / Italy / Portugal
