Consequently, every component within that supply chain must adapt quickly to meet the new demands. PrintNet Enterprise provides this adaptability by raising remote printer management to an unprecedented level of visibility and control. P RINTRONIX P RINT N ET E NTERPRISE WORKS ACROSS ALL THREE P RINTRONIX — THERMAL , LINE MATRIX AND LASER — TO LEVERAGE THE OF TODAY ’ S ENTERPRISE NETWORK TECHNOLOGY. TECHNOLOGIES PRINTER FULL POWER This exceptional remote printer management tool places total control of worldwide print operations in the IT network manager’s hands by combining a fully integrated Ethernet adapter and Java-based remote management software. Whether you are managing one warehouse distribution centre or a global infrastructure of printers, PrintNet Enterprise will provide you with the control you need. PrintNet’s versatility allows you to connect your printer not only through your local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN), but through your corporate Intranet, Extranet or any secure Internet connection. This opens up limitless possibilities for remote printer management. Scenario: you’re a network administrator or IT manager responsible for setting up and managing hundreds of printers at locations throughout the world. Not only does Printronix printer manager give you the power to set up and configure your line matrix, laser and thermal printers without being at the printer control panel, but now you can distribute the same setup to any other printer performing the same functions with a simple mouse click. Or you’re managing output for your company’s global SAP™ R/3® installation. Your job is to oversee the production of daily and weekly reports, 1,000-page reports printed at 250 locations. Since configuring each printer from its control panel is not an option, you use Printronix printer manager to configure all 250 printers instantly. Mission accomplished. The PrintNet Network Interface Card gives you complete compatibility with IS Enterprise networks by providing MIB (Management Information Base) II support for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), allowing you to use SNMP managers like HP Open View, Tivoli, Computer Associates Unicenter TNG, Sun Net Manager and Castle Rock SNMPc. 175985-001Printnet Brochure 4pp 10/25/02 10:12 AM Page 4 I N S TA N T Vi s i b i l i t y Simultaneously view the status of every managed Printronix printer across your enterprise.
