“The truth is, the Source of Western Civilization is the Lord Jesus Christ, with all that He has
given to us, made possible by the Cross of Christ.
But the human instrumentation used by our Lord
was Paul, the Apostle.”
Several years back, one of the billionaire philanthropists from Texas gave Yale University some three
million dollars in order that a “chair” be established, with
the intent of teaching a course on the origin of Western
Civilization. A considerable period of time passed
when there seemed to be no action in this regard, which
prompted the benefactor to call the President of Yale.
“What is the holdup as it regards the teaching of this
subject?” the philanthropist inquired.
The president of Yale answered and said to the
benefactor, “Mr. Bass, we are very grateful for your gift of
three million dollars to Yale University, with the intent that
the subject of the origin of Western Civilization would be
taught as a college-level course; however,” the President of
Yale went on to say, “we simply don’t know how to teach
the subject.” He continued, “We do not know how Western
Civilization began.”
PAUL, THE APOSTLE
If the President of Yale had known the Bible, he
would have had some understanding as it regards this
subject. The truth is, the Source of Western Civilization
is the Lord Jesus Christ, with all that He has given to us,
made possible by the Cross of Christ. But the human
instrumentation used by our Lord was Paul, the Apostle.
Of course, the Lord used many; however, the Book of Acts,
written by Luke, characterizes the formation of the Early
Church and, above all, the Ministry of the Apostle Paul,
gives us the origin of the greatest way of life known to
mankind—Western Civilization.

DEMOCRACY AND THE GOSPEL
It must be understood, however, that there can
be no true Democracy, which is the greatest form of
government in this present world, without such being
based on the Judeo-Christian concept. This means that
our government spending hundreds of billions of dollars trying to establish democracy in places like Iraq
and Afghanistan, which are governed by the Muslim
religion, i.e., the “Koran,” will prove to be a fruitless
task. Democracy and the Koran are not on the same
page. In fact, they are really not on the same Planet.
So, for Democracy to be what it ought to be, the Gospel of Jesus Christ must be paramount; otherwise, it
becomes no more than another vapid philosophy.
THE BEGINNING OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION
The beginning of this way of life, of course, had its
start with the Holy Spirit; however, the physical demonstration of the origin of the Western way of life under
Christ began with the Macedonian Call. The Scripture
says, and I quote from THE EXPOSITOR’S STUDY BIBLE,
as will be all the Biblical quotes in this Volume:
“And a Vision appeared to Paul in the night
(proclaims the Holy Spirit now telling the Apostle
exactly where He wanted him to go); there stood a
man of Macedonia (the northern part of modern
Greece, from the Adriatic to the Hebrus River), and
prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia,
and help us (thus was ushered in the most momentous event in the history of the world, the going forth
of Paul to take the Gospel to the nations of the West).
“And after he had seen the Vision, immediately
we endeavored to go into Macedonia (by the use of the
pronoun ‘we,’ we know that Luke, the writer of this Book
of Acts, now joins Paul here at Troas), assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the

Gospel unto them (they knew they now had the Mind of the Lord)” (Acts 16:9-10).
PHILIPPI
“Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to
Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis (this would be the very first
presentation of the Gospel on European soil, which would have such a bearing
on what is presently referred to as ‘Western Civilization’);
“And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of
Macedonia (Paul’s destination), and a colony (was a colony of Rome): and
we were in that city abiding certain days (represents tremendous hardships,
but a Church was established here).
THE FIRST CONVERT
“And on the Sabbath we went out of the city by a riverside, where
prayer was wont to be made (evidently meant there was no Synagogue in the
city; what few Jews were there met by the riverside); and we sat down, and
spoke unto the women which
resorted thither (seems to tell
us that no men were present
other than Paul and his party).
“And a certain woman
named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira (she
was a businesswoman), which
worshipped God (proclaims
her as a Gentile who had probably begun visiting a Jewish
Synagogue in Thyatira), heard
us (Paul evidently was asked to
speak to these women, thus proclaiming the Story of Jesus Christ
and His Redemption afforded by
the Cross of Calvary): whose
heart the Lord opened (presents her hungry for God), that
she attended unto the things
which were spoken of Paul (she gave her heart to Christ, and was, thereby,
the first convert on European soil).
“And when she was baptized (evidently took place some days later), and
her household (refers to the fact that all of those with her accepted the Lord
as well, and were baptized), she besought us, saying, If you have judged
me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there (as
well, her house was probably the first Church on European soil). And she
constrained us (means they did not acquiesce at first, feeling perhaps that
it may be an imposition on her; but she would not take no for an answer)”
(Acts 16:11-15).
THE SPREAD OF THE GOSPEL
From the first convert in Europe, who was Lydia, to the first Church established on European soil, which was in Lydia’s house, the Gospel spread westward.

Repentance and Faith in the Precious Blood of Christ.
(Rom. 5:1; Eph. 2:8-9, 13-18)
. . . Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential
for personal Salvation. (Jn. 3:5-8; Titus 3:5)
. . . the Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross provides
Healing of the human body in answer to believing
prayer. (Ex. 15:25-26; James 5:14-15; I Pet. 2:24)
. . . the Baptism with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4
is given to Believers who ask for it. (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46;
19:1-7)
. . . in the Sanctifying Power of the Holy Spirit by Whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
(Rom. 6:3-14; 8:1-2, 11)
. . . in the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the
one to Everlasting Life and the other to everlasting
damnation. (Rev. 20:5-6, 11-15)
THE PRICELESS CORNER
We have set aside this corner of the Evangelist to
show God’s Plan of Salvation. If you are unsure where
you will go when you die, please listen to what God has
said in His Word:
First . . . God loves you!
“For God so loved the world that he gave His only
Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should
not perish, but have Everlasting Life” (Jn. 3:16).
Second . . . Man is a sinner, and sin
has separated him from God!
“For there is not a just man upon Earth, that doeth
good and sinneth not” (Eccl. 7:20).
“For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of
God” (Rom. 3:23).
Third . . . Jesus Christ is the only
remedy for sin!
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just
for the unjust, that He might bring us to God . . .” (I Pet.
3:18).
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under Heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Fourth . . . you must receive Jesus
Christ as your personal lord and
saviour.
Jesus calls this experience the “new birth.” He told
Nicodemus: “. . . Except a man be born again, he cannot
see the Kingdom of God” (Jn. 3:3).
We invite you now to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as
your personal Saviour. “But as many as received Him, to
them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to
them that believe on His Name” (Jn. 1:12).
Pray this prayer and mean it with all of your heart:
Dear Lord Jesus, I now realize that I am a sinner. I
accept the fact that You died for me on the rugged Cross
of Calvary. I now open my heart’s door and receive You
as Saviour and Lord of my life. Please take full control of
me and help me to be the kind of Christian You want me
to be. Amen.

“In fact, the Apostle, under the guidance of the
Holy Spirit, referred to himself as the ‘Masterbuilder
of the Church.’”
We do know that after Paul had been to Rome, he
wanted to go to Spain (Rom. 15:24, 28); however, there is
no historical or Scriptural proof that this desire was realized. But we do know that ultimately the Gospel went to
France and England, along with all the other European
countries, and eventually to North, Central and South
America. That is the origin of Western Civilization. But
again we emphasize that the true source of the prosperity
and freedom of this way of life has its origin totally and
completely in the Lord Jesus Christ and the price that
He paid at Calvary’s Cross. To misunderstand that is to
misunderstand what Western Civilization is all about.
PAUL, THE GREATEST EXAMPLE FOR
CHRISTIANITY EVER PRODUCED BY CHRIST
I know that Paul would never have made such a statement as that given in our heading of himself. Actually,
he said:
“For I am the least of the Apostles (not mock
modesty, but rather the most deep humility), that
am not meet (worthy) to be called an Apostle,
because I persecuted the Church of God (before
his conversion).
“But by the Grace of God I am what I am
(concerns the Favor or Mercy of God): and His Grace
which was bestowed upon me was not in vain (it
was not without effect, telling us that it is without
effect with many); but I laboured more abundantly
than they all (proclaims that which Grace enabled
Paul to do because he had a greater grasp of Grace
than anyone else, which speaks of the Cross, the
means of Grace): yet not I, but the Grace of God
which was with me (is with all Believers who look
toward the Cross [I Cor. 1:17])” (I Cor. 15:9-10).
But at the same time, when we realize certain things
about Paul, I think one would be hard put to find any
human being who has ever lived, other than Christ, who
can match this man.
• First of all, it was to Paul that our Lord gave the
meaning of the New Covenant. Considering that the
New Covenant is the greatest Word, the greatest Plan,
and the greatest Covenant that has ever been given to
man, and ever will be given to man, then we have to
realize that the Lord, considering the vast significance
of this all-important Word, would not have given it to

just anyone. This is the Covenant to which everything
else pointed. In fact, as great as the First Covenant was,
and we speak of the Law of Moses given to that great
Patriarch, it pointed in every capacity to the New Covenant that was to come. In fact, Paul said of the New
Covenant:

“But now (since the Cross) has He (the Lord
Jesus) obtained a more excellent Ministry (the
New Covenant in Jesus’ Blood is superior, and takes
the place of the Old Covenant in animal blood),
by how much also He is the Mediator of a
Better Covenant (proclaims the fact that Christ
officiates between God and man according to the
arrangements of the New Covenant), which was
established upon better Promises. (This presents
the New Covenant, explicitly based on the cleansing
and forgiveness of all sin, which the Old Covenant
could not do.)
“For if that first Covenant had been faultless (proclaims the fact that the First Covenant was
definitely not faultless; as stated, it was based on
animal blood, which was vastly inferior to the Precious Blood of Christ), then should no place have
been sought for the Second (proclaims the necessity
of the New Covenant)” (Heb. 8:6-7).
• As well, the Lord gave the responsibility to Paul
of founding the Church. In fact, the Apostle, under the
guidance of the Holy Spirit, referred to himself as the
“Masterbuilder of the Church.” He said:
“According to the Grace of God which is
given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder (in
essence, Paul, under Christ, founded the Church), I
have laid the foundation (Jesus Christ and Him
Crucified), and another builds thereon (speaks
of all Preachers who followed thereafter, even unto
this very moment, and have built upon this Foundation). But let every man take heed how he builds
thereupon. (All must preach the same Doctrine
Paul preached, in essence, ‘Jesus Christ and Him
Crucified.’)
“For other foundation can no man lay than
that is laid (anything other than the Cross is another
foundation and, therefore, unacceptable to the Lord),
which is Jesus Christ (Who He is, God manifest in
the flesh, and what He did, Redemption through the
Cross)” (I Cor. 3:10-11).

“The meaning of the Cross is actually the
meaning of the New Covenant. In fact, one could
turn it around and say the meaning of the New
Covenant is the meaning of the Cross.”
• The mystical Body of Christ: of course, we speak
of the Church, the true, Blood-bought Believers, all of
whom make up the Body of Christ. While Jesus Christ
is the Builder of the Church, He did so, even as the Book
of Acts grandly proclaims, through the Holy Spirit, but
with the Holy Spirit using Paul. So, if we have to select a
man, all under Christ, Paul stands out as no other, even
as he referred to himself, and the Holy Spirit wanted him
to do so, as the “Masterbuilder of the Church.” And this
refers to the Church all over the world. It does not refer
to denominations, but rather to every called-out Believer,
called out from the darkness of this world, and we speak

Church is “a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle,
or any such thing; but that it should be Holy and without
blemish” (Eph. 5:27).

Unequivocally and grandly so, Paul preached the
Cross. In fact, he used the “Cross” as a synonym for the
Gospel, which means that’s how prominent his teaching
was as it regarded this all-important subject (I Cor. 1:1718; Phil. 3:18; Gal. 6:14).
The meaning of the Cross is actually the meaning of
the New Covenant. In fact, one could turn it around and
say the meaning of the New Covenant is the meaning

it regards daily life and living, without a working
knowledge of this great Truth.”
THE SIN NATURE
The very first thing the Lord showed me in that Revelation was the meaning of the sin nature. To do that, He
took me to the great Sixth Chapter of Romans. In fact,
the Holy Spirit through Paul has given over this entire
Chapter to explaining this all-important subject. This,
all-inclusive Victory that He there purchased with His
Own Precious Blood (Eph. 2:13-18). If we fail to grasp
the Message of this man, which is the Cross of Christ,
then we totally misunderstand Paul, who he was, and
what he did. Unfortunately, in today’s spiritual climate,
the Cross of Christ has been so little preached that the
modern church hardly knows what it is and what was
there done. As a result, there is much preaching done
about the Gospel, but very little True Gospel that’s actually being preached. The truth is and the facts are, if
the preacher is not preaching the Cross of Christ, then
whatever it is he is preaching will be of precious little
good to those who hear him.
THE REVELATION
In 1997, after six years of prayer meetings morning
and evening, the Lord began to open up to me that which
I refer to as the “Revelation of the Cross.” It definitely was
not new, having been given to the Apostle Paul nearly
2,000 years ago, which the great Apostle gave to us in his
14 Epistles. I’m sure that quite possibly the Lord has given
this Revelation, or at least a part of it, to others down
through the centuries. At any rate, it totally revolutionized my life and my Ministry. As it regarded the Cross of
Christ and Salvation, I had always preached this strongly
all over the world, with the Lord helping me to see, and I
exaggerate not, hundreds of thousands of souls brought
to a Saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. But as it regarded
the Cross of Christ and Sanctification, of that I had no
knowledge. And when I speak of “Sanctification,” I am
speaking of the manner in which we live for God, the way
we order our behavior, and how we overcome the world,
the flesh, and the Devil, even as this latter phrase was
coined by the Early Church Fathers. In fact, while one
can certainly be Saved and not understand this great
Truth, the simple fact is, one cannot successfully live
for the Lord, as it regards daily life and living, without a
working knowledge of this great Truth. This means that
the sin nature will rule such a person to some degree,
which, you can be sure, will make life miserable. Every
single Believer in the world has “more abundant life” (Jn.
10:10), but the truth is, only a tiny portion of the modern
church is enjoying this more Abundant Life.

if not all, failure in the hearts and lives of the Children
of God.
THE CROSS OF CHRIST
Then some days later, the Lord showed me the solution to this problem, which is the Cross of Christ, and
related forcibly to me that the Cross of Christ is the only
solution. There is no other! Not understanding this,
which means the Cross of Christ relative to Sanctification
is not understood, means that most modern Christians
simply do not know how to live for God. The Cross alone
is the answer. For this great Truth, the Lord once again
took me to the Sixth Chapter of Romans.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
And then last of all, and of extreme significance, the
Lord showed me how the Holy Spirit works in all of this.
Regrettably, not understanding the Cross of Christ relative to Sanctification, most of the modern church doesn’t
understand, as well, how the Holy Spirit works within our
lives. It is the Cross of Christ, the Lord showed me from
Romans 8:2, through which the Holy Spirit works. In
other words, it is the Cross which gives the Holy Spirit the
legal means to do all that He does. As a result, while the

Faith exclusively in the Cross of Christ and keeping
it there.)

brought about by trusting Christ and what He did
for us at the Cross).
“And as many as walk (to direct one’s life,
to order one’s conduct) according to this rule (the
principle of the Cross), peace be on them, and
mercy (which comes only by means of the Cross),
and upon the Israel of God. (This refers to all who
look to the Cross for their Redemption. They alone

7. An ESCHATOLOGY for an endtime revival

Extreme pragmatism. Evident lack of compassion
and mercy, particularly for the weaker, elderly, infirm,
infants or children. (“Without natural affection.” Romans 1:31; 2 Tim. 3:3)

The philosophy that the ends justify the means.

Viewing people as “human capital” assigned with an
economic value. Talking about “spiritual capital.”
•
Cultlike rigidity and excessive harshness, controlling
behaviors, severe restrictions, retributions, penalties
and reprisals.

A preoccupation with aggressive rhetoric and military
metaphors that could easily evolve into outright
force, coercion or brutality.
•
… the Lord Jesus is worthy to be lifted up by a Church
that has reached the full maturity of the God-man!” (p.

can be justified as “new truth” and used in kingdom
pursuits.

9. Spiritual Formation and/or Structural Realignment

Partnering with anyone and anything, no matter how
ecumenical or immoral, if it seems to further kingdom goals.

Not abstaining from “all appearance of evil”

Preoccupation with militarism, including the merger
of civil military goals with spiritual warfare.

An insistence on unity at all costs, especially ecumenical unity among Christians, but also including

Teaching a “5 fold ministry” that emphasizes
modern-day apostles and prophets as heads of a
hierarchical, pyramidal, downline, Amway-style marketing, shepherding model.

Aligning structurally, and being “externally-focused”
to be “missional” and “redeem the culture.”
•
Inner spiritual formation to get oneself in position for
the “paradigm shift” in the church.
•
An inordinate emphasis on Dominion by “ruling” and
“subduing” the earth and its people.
10. Networking and Collaborative Models
•

The church networking and forming common ground
with business, secular and governmental agencies,
organizations, institutions, etc. in order to further the
“kingdom of God” on earth.
The church merging its interests and identity with
those of Corporate business organizations and Government.

15. MYSTICISM and NEOPAGANISM
and popular leadership.
•
The belief that leaders are divine, spiritual masters,
or have a divine destiny and purpose to guide the
kingdom on earth.

The use of altered states of consciousness to reach
higher spiritual levels for the purpose of achieving
human deification or perfection.
•
The idolatrous view that some leaders are more elite
than others, and thus worthy of absolute obedience
and/or awe or reverence.

The use of contemplation and meditation. hypnotic
music, drumming, dance, pagan rituals and rites.

The heresy that Christians cannot access God without going through a mediatrix, a specially empowered leader. The elimination of the doctrine of the

Numerology – assigning occult and spiritual significance to numbers or number sequences.

The belief that sexuality – either by denying it or
practicing it in aberrant ways – will produce a heightened spirituality or closeness to God. An improper
emphasis on “passion.”

The practice of pagan SEXUAL RITES to unite
human with the divine, including using the “temple
prostitute” as a mediatrix.
13. PROPHETS – SIGNS and WONDERS
•
The belief that New Testament prophets operate just
like Old Testament prophets, and that new prophets
are arising for the last days who are specially gifted
to put the church in order.
•
Strange and bizarre manifestations in praise and
worship. Unholy and irreverent spiritual occurrences
and phenomena.
•
The belief in secret knowledge (GNOSIS), that God
is giving new instructions to the church today, new
“Rhema” words, even new Scripture.
•
The use of decrees, impartations, invocations and
paranormal phenomena for kingdom pursuits.
•
Using signs and wonders to desensitize people to
be more accepting of new teachings and doctrines.

•
The idea that there are sacred places on earth,
holier than other spots, that can be accessed and
manipulated for spiritual purposes.

The justification and use of real warfare and/or
weapons, including science and technology, as an
ally in kingdom-building.

but also may be physical.
Prayer walks, labyrinths, and other meditative techniques that are located in sacred spaces.

The idea that there are spiritual powers and principalities over an area, and that they can be warred

Marching and claiming the land in order to gain

The idea that certain spaces, architecture, geometrical figures, ratios or alignments have sacred
significance. This includes circles, stadiums, and
other structures or “alignments.”

The idea that there are “territorial apostles” over
regions and “spheres” (“mountains”) with kingdom
assignments to take Dominion:
•
Techno-man – reinventing, healing or perfecting human beings, and creating a “new man” by psychic or
scientific methods. Perfecting the race.
•
Lack of ethics. Any technology must be “okay” if it
helps to build the kingdom on earth.
A definition of a technocrat can be found in an occult
encyclopedia–
“One who leads or rules by virtue of special or technical knowledge. Hypothetically, a master of the ideal
control-system of planetary management, someone
who proposes to enforce technological supremacy.
One who masters by technical skill and elite knowledge, especially when used to manipulate nature,
rather than cocreate with it through devout imitation,
in the manner of the alchemists.”

17. COVENANTS, oaths, manifestos, declarations,
decrees, pledges, etc.

Extra-biblical agreements, usually enforced by coercion or guilt, often based on O.T. Law.
•
A psychosocial contract that serves as a formal
“joining up” process in which one aligns their life’s
purpose to an organization’s purpose.
•
A rite of initiation.
•
The heretical belief that failure to “work for political and social reform to establish dominion over
the world system is to break covenant with God.”

The faulty idea that if someone is “not politically
active in working to establish Christ’s lordship over
the whole earth [he] is guilty of breaking God’s covenant.” (Dager, p. 206)
The heresy that the “reign of Christ” will only be
“realized through Christian civil leaders,” thus
embracing the “concept of a CHURCH STATE” – as
explained by a critic of Dominionism below:
“A premillennial understanding of prophecy is a major
tenet that supports a SEPARATION of CHURCH and
STATE as well as RELIGIOUS LIBERTY. [But if] Christ
is ruling now, in fulfillment of the millenial prophecies,
through civil powers, then [the Dominionists believe]
they have every right to institute Christian laws, for
they themselves are under the rule of Christ, and verily
ARE the rule of Christ. It is THIS understanding that
undergirded Reformed thinking of the necessity for
having National Covenants and binding religious oaths
in order to COMPEL men to accept the true faith, so
that the civil rule of Christ might be advanced. (Paul
Shirk, Come Out From Among Them My People)

The idea that the Adamic Covenant, before the Fall,
will be restored by obedience to O.T. law:
Many dominionists actually… assert that they will
restore Paradise—that obedience to biblical law (ethics) can restore man to the pre-fall Adamic state. This
is known as “progressive sanctification.” As man is
sanctified through obedience to biblical law he will become immortal, the earth will be transformed: food will
be plentiful, wild animals will become tame, diseases
will no longer take their toll, and all nature will be in
harmony. (Dager, p. 208)
18. SYNERGY
•
“Collective Consciousness” – the idea that there is
a “fusion” when enough diverse spiritual energy collects together.
•
A form of “harmonic convergence” – the idea that by
combining spiritual forces, God will be more likely to
listen to prayer, or that only by praying en masse will
He agree to shift things on earth. De-emphasis of
private prayer closets.
•
Critical Mass – the psycho-social method of marketing in which once a new product or idea is embraced
by enough people, it will shift the paradigm so that
everyone buys in.
•
The idea that the Church is a key catalytic force in
global transformation (spiritually, politically, commercially, governmentally, etc.)
•
Co-evolution, co-creation – the collaboration by
humanity in the ongoing process of the evolution of
creation, readying the planet for a coming “Christ.”
•
Synchronicity – the Jungian idea that seemingly unrelated coincidental events have a deeper mystical
connection to bring about the kingdom.
19. EXTREME AMERICAN PATRIOTISM
•
The belief that America is a totally Christian nation
under covenant with God like O.T. Israel.
•
The belief that restoring America to its status as a
“Christian nation” will make society better.
•
The belief that by changing external civil laws that
peoples’ hearts and lives will somehow be changed.
•
A shift in emphasis to changing politicians, laws, ethics, institutions, and culture rather than PREACHING
the Gospel to lost sinners.
•
Christian activism is substituted for being “salt and
light” by preaching the Gospel of Salvation.
•
“Standing in the gap” becomes political action.

“THESE ARE THE SONS OF ISRAEL”

I Chronicles 2:1-2 – “These are the sons of Israel;
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and
Zebulun,
“Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and
Asher.”
The Books of I and II Chronicles were written by Ezra,
according to Jewish tradition.
In I Chronicles, Chapters 1 through 9, we are given
the genealogies of particular families. Many pay no
mind to these genealogies, even wondering why they are
given. The reason they are given and the reason they are
important is because they lead to the Birth of Christ. In
fact, when one reads these genealogies, you are actually
reading your Salvation. All of these names, all of these
families culminate with Jesus Christ and for that reason
alone we should not skip over these names.
The name “Chronicles” is from the Hebrew “Divrei
Hayyamim,” which means, “words of the days” or, in the
language of today, “the diary” – a Diary kept by God. As
well, according to the Jewish Canon, the two Books are
the conclusion of the Old Testament with the genealogies
leading to those of the New Testament.
THE TWELVE SONS OF JACOB
As stated, I Chronicles 2:1-2 gives us the twelve sons
of Jacob. However, when one compares the order of
their listing to Genesis, Chapters 29-30, one will notice
the order of the names is different. In I Chronicles, the six
sons of Leah are given first, then the four sons of Rachel
and her maid Bilhah, and then the two sons of Leah’s
maid, Zilpah.
So, the question must be asked, why did the Holy Spirit
do this? I think the reason is found in the meaning of each
of the names, so let’s look at the meaning of these names.
• Reuben: his name means “a son is born,” representative
of all born into the world.
EVERYTHING IN THE BIBLE IS IMPORTANT
In the first two Verses of I Chronicles, Chapter 2, we
are given the twelve sons of Jacob (Israel). It is easy for
one to pass over these names and not really pay attention
to them, but to do so is to make a grave mistake. Never
forget that everything in the Bible was placed there by
the Holy Spirit for a specific reason. That which we think
at times is not very important can, at times, be a fount
of blessing with just a little study on our part and that’s
exactly what is important about these two Verses.

“THESE ARE THE SONS OF ISRAEL”
• Simeon: his name means “hearing.” The son is born,
and then he is to “hear” the Word of God. Likewise, the
Lord desires that all are to “hear” the Gospel.
• Levi: his name means “joined.” The son is born, he
hears the Word of God, and is then “joined” to the Father.
The Lord wants all to be “joined” to the Lord. He does
not want any to perish.
• Judah: his name means “praises.” The son is born,
he hears the Word of God, and he is then joined to the
father and “praises” the Lord. To all who are Saved, we
burst forth in praise to God for sending His Son Jesus
Christ to die on the Cross that we might be Born-Again.
• Issachar: his name means “reward.” The son is born,
he hears the Word of God, he is joined to the Father, he
praises the Lord and he receives a “reward.” To all who
are Saved, we are given a great “reward,” all the Blessings
that Salvation grants us.
• Zebulon: his name means “to dwell.” The son is born,
he hears the Word of God, he is joined to the Father, he
praises the Lord, he receives a reward, and he is made
“to dwell” in the House of the Lord forever.
In these six names, we are given the entire Plan of
Salvation.
DAN
Dan means “judgment.” There is a specific reason Dan
is placed in this spot and that reason is that if one rejects
the Plan of God given in the meaning of the names of the
six sons of Leah, then “judgment” will be the end result.
All of humanity will know the Lord as either Saviour
or Judge.
JOSEPH AND BENJAMIN
The next two names given are Joseph and Benjamin.
Their meanings are as follows:
• Joseph: his name means “adding.” If the Plan of
God is accepted, everything we need will be added and
nothing will be subtracted.
• Benjamin: his name means “strong right hand.” If
the Plan of God is accepted, everything will be added
and we will have the Power of God that comes through
the Holy Spirit.
NAPHTALI, GAD, ASHER
The last three names mean the following:
• Naphtali: his name means “wrestling.” The Lord has
“wrestled” and defeated the enemy of our Lord.
• Gad: his name means “troop,” as in the Army of the
Lord. It also means “good fortune.”
• Asher: his name means “happy.” The only true
happiness in the world is the life lived in Christ.

In closing, it is also important to note that all of these
sons are Types of Christ as well:
• Reuben: Jesus is the “Son” of God.
• Simeon: Through Jesus, we “hear” God.

• Dan: Jesus has taken the “judgment” due us.

all on our behalf, and has defeated the foe.
• Gad: Jesus is the “troop” who has fought on our
behalf and has brought us “good fortune.”
• Asher: Jesus has made us “happy.”
• Issachar: Jesus is our “reward.”
• Zebulon: Jesus has made it possible for Believers “to
dwell” in the House of the Lord forever.
• Joseph: Jesus has “added” all Believers to the
Kingdom.
• Benjamin: Jesus is the Father’s “Strong Right Hand.”
I hope you can see that these genealogies are not
merely given to take up space, but if one looks closer,
one can begin to see great truth and meaning.

For those of you who are not familiar with digital television, these are free “old fashioned TV channels” that are able to
be picked up with a digital tuner and antenna. Most new televisions are equipped with built-in digital tuners or you can
purchase a tuner from your local electronics store (Best Buy®, Radio Shack®, etc.). As well, you can purchase the proper
antenna at your local electronics store. Many viewers under the broadcast signal of the television station can use a small,
digital antenna inside the home. For those on the outer edge of the signal or to receive the best signal, an outdoor antenna
may be required. Both indoor and outdoor antennas are available for less than $50!

“HIS BLOOD STILL SETS MEN FREE”
Dear Brother Swaggart,
I am a 26-year-old Minister of the Gospel here in
Zimbabwe, and am also a Media Church Member with
you. I am thankful to Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart, who
was inspired to preach and reach the world through
SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN). I am happy to be
a Media Church Member, as Sister Frances’ programs
have opened a door to my workmate at my work. I am
allowed to tune in to SBN at my workplace, which is a
hospital. Some patients were thankful to the song of
hope and healing, “His Blood Still Sets Men Free.” SBN
is now a major channel of my family. Members of the
church I minister at love this channel too. Blessed be
the members of the staff at SBN. I have heard that The
Expositor’s Study Bible is coming to Zimbabwe, and my
greatest desire is to have that Study Bible!

SINGING, “AMAZING GRACE”
My father was a faithful listener of your Services. The
TV would be on all day on your station. My dad was a
true Christian, and he had a lot of Faith. When my dad
passed into Heaven in the early morning, he had your
station on at 3:00 in the morning. When he passed, you
were singing “Amazing Grace”! Thank you for your TV
station.

THE SBN iPODS . . . WHAT AN AMAZING BLESSING .
. . WE CALL IT OUR POCKET CHURCH!
My wife and I have been watching SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN) for a little more than a year and a
half, just like one of the many stories we hear about all
the time, we were randomly flipping through the channels and suddenly we found Brother Swaggart. My wife
and I both attended Pentecostal churches in our teens,
but when we tried to go back as adults, trying to find a

church with the same fire just did not
seem to exist. But when we came across
SBN, there was an immediate connection.
You could feel the Spirit in the worship Services, music programs, teaching, informative
programs, it has all been a tremendous blessing.
We recently received a couple of the SBN iPods,
and what an amazing blessing this little device is.
We call it our pocket church! Not only do we have
uplifting music and the Bible anytime, anywhere, but it
also is a tool for witnessing. My wife listens to hers at
work without the ear buds just loud enough to hear if
you are within 10 feet of her, and as it draws people in it
gives her a starting place for dialogue. It has brought us
both closer to the Lord, and given us a place to worship
the Lord!

SBN WAS BEING PLAYED 24 HOURS A DAY . . . I GOT
THE VICTORY!
On “A Study In The Word”, you spoke of the Faith
God gave you for SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN).
You were dead right on when you spoke to the audience,
saying we were an important part in this work that God
had raised up. The Holy Spirit came through that TV, and
God spoke to my heart that I am supposed to be a part
of this Ministry! I am supporting with prayer, and have
sent in an offering also. God is doing great things, and
I may never get to come to Family Worship Center, but
I would love to be there one day! I stumbled on SBN in
late 2011, and I have it on constantly. I struggled with
oppression for several years, and I know God’s power and
understand His Word, but I could not get victory over this
oppression. To make a long story short, I’m free! The oppression is gone! It fell off while SBN was being played 24
hours a day. I got the victory! I’ve got the victory! I keep
the TV on constantly, absorbing the anointed music and
preaching of the Word, around the clock, reminding me
daily and constantly that everything I need it’s already
granted. It’s paid for, if I keep my Faith in the right place,
which is the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross! Oh
praise His Holy Name!

HOLY SPIRIT IS REALLY DRAWING US TO YOU AND
YOUR MESSAGE OF THE CROSS.

Cross, as it has opened my eyes so much. A few months
back I purchased your Giant Print Expositor’s Study Bible,
and about a month later a friend of mine gave me your
bonded leather Bible. I ended up blessing my best friend
by giving her one of your Bibles that she had been wanting for a long time. We both get up at 5:00 a.m. to listen
to your teachings on TV, which have really opened our
eyes. We’re getting hungrier for the Word, and the Holy
Spirit is really drawing us to you and your Message of the

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN) on TV. My Grandma is not able to
go to church anymore due to health reasons, and while
visiting her last weekend she shared with me how she
continues to be fed. She turned on the TV to show me
the SBN channel, and expressed how she thanks God for
giving her this channel, and how it just appeared one day
on her cable system. Grandma experiences the Holy Spirit
in her living room as she sits and worships along with the

“THE DEPTH OF THE CROSS”
C
I Corinthians 2:9-10 – “But as it is written (Isa.
64:4), Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into the heart of man (the purpose
is to show that we cannot come to a knowledge
of God through these normal ways of learning),
the things which God has prepared for them who
love Him.
“But God has revealed them unto us by His
Spirit (tells us the manner of impartation of
Spiritual Knowledge, which is Revelation): for
the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things
of God. (The Holy Spirit is the only One amply
qualified to reveal God because He is God, and He
is the Member of the Godhead Who deals directly
with man.)”
THE CONTEXT OF THE PASSAGE
In I Corinthians, Chapter 2, the Apostle Paul reminds
the Church at Corinth what his verbal ministry was
focused upon as he established the Church there. In
I Corinthians 2:2, Paul stated, “For I determined not to
know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him
Crucified.” The reason why he proclaimed this twofold
message is seen in I Corinthians 2:5 when Paul says, “That
your Faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but
in the Power of God.” Simply explained, Paul preached
the Person of Christ and the Redemptive Work of Christ.
He never spoke of going beyond this message. In fact,
as he writes to the Church at Corinth he has to correct
areas where they, having gone “beyond the Cross,” have
slid into error and immorality. Therefore, Christ and
Him Crucified is not only the Message that will establish
the Church it is also the Message that will correct the
Church. Whenever those in the Church go “beyond the
Cross,” replacing the God-given focus of Faith with a

man-supplied vision or teaching, error and immorality
will always be the end result.
ETERNITY WON’T BE LONG ENOUGH
There is such a depth of learning surrounding these
two emphasized subjects, that even eternity might
not supply us enough time to search out a complete
description of who Christ is and what benefits Christ
made available to humanity by sacrificing His Life on
the Cross. We are taught by Paul, that as the Believer
looks exclusively to Christ and places his or her Faith
in Christ’s Work, the Holy Spirit enables the Believer to

live out this Christian life by the means of God’s Grace.
This is a Spiritual Law (Rom. 8:2). Therefore, with the
right Object of Faith, the Believer stands in the Power of
God. I desire to see every Believer empowered by this
Resurrection Life and Power, as did Paul. He understood
that for this to be a fact, the Believer must pursue the
understanding of who Christ is and what Christ did.
EYE HAS NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD
God has prepared so much for the Believer. All of it
intended to supply the Believer with the different aspects
of abundant life. Let’s look at just a few benefits that
Calvary supplied. Of the foremost importance, Calvary
solves the sin problem. The Penalty for all sin committed
by anyone anywhere in all ages was paid for at Calvary.
John said, “Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away
the sin of the world.” On Calvary, all debt regarding
sin past, present, and future was paid. A person must,
however, accept God’s Offer of clemency by placing
their Faith exclusively in Christ and what He did at
Calvary. We believe that as the Son of God, He became
our substitute paying the entire debt of sin with His
Sinless Spotless Life. Therefore, by Faith through Grace
a relationship with God can begin and be maintained,
despite our inconsistencies or our failings. A Holy God
sees the debt paid by His Son and accepts you and I as
“joint-heirs” because of our Faith in His Plan. The event
of the Cross made this a possibility. Faith in the Cross
makes it a reality. No Cross would mean no forgiveness,
and no legal means by which man’s sin is removed.
Not only did the event of the Cross cover the sin debt,
it also is instrumental in regard to the Sanctification of
the Saint. As the Believer learns to rest in God’s Covenant,
which was cut for us at Calvary, the Holy Spirit begins to
act out His Role by empowering the Believer to live this
Christian life. In order to live free from any remaining
nuances of sin, the Believer must know that the power of
sin was also stymied at Calvary. Grace is made available
only when Faith is applied to Christ’s Work on the Cross.
No Cross would mean no daily deliverance from sin in
any aspect, both from the sin nature or the acts of sin.
Romans 6:14 says, “For sin shall not have dominion over
you: for you are not under the Law, but under Grace.”

us? The same thing that He provided for Abraham when
he was about to sacrifice his only son Isaac. He provided
a sacrifice. In that sacrifice, every need we would ever
have – Spiritually, physically, emotionally, temporal, or
eternal – was met. Thank God for the event of the Cross!

Not only does the event of the Cross carried out by
Christ bring us freedom from sin, its penalty, power, and
one day, its presence, but it also plays a pivotal role in
our ability to be healed. “By His Stripes (wounds inflicted
at Calvary) we were healed.” No Cross – no Healing
physically or spiritually. No Cross – no Resurrection
Power. No Cross – no Baptism with the Holy Spirit. No

“YOU ARE THE STANDARD”

Isaiah 59:19 – “So shall they fear the Name of
the LORD from the west, and His Glory from the
rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in
like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a
standard against him. (The ‘standard’ is Christ!
The ‘Spirit of the LORD’ anointed Christ to set the
captive free [Lk. 4:18]. That ‘Anointing,’ which
could have Saved Israel then, and has consequently
Saved tens of millions since then, will now, and
finally, save Israel.
“As He attempted to proclaim the ‘acceptable
year of the LORD’ at His First Advent, and was
refused, He will now declare the ‘acceptable
year of the LORD’ at His Second Advent, and be
accepted.)”
As the Cross of Christ is the Standard, and should be
the Standard of Righteousness, there is a second part
to this, and that is you. You are the Standard. Make no
mistake about that. God has, and is, raising up an Army
of young people who will not bow the knee to Satan,
who will not be sucked into false doctrine, who will
not go along with every wind of doctrine that comes
along, but will hold up the Banner of the Lord Jesus
Christ for the entire world to see. Many will say that in
today’s society we need not mention sin, or we need not
mention wrongdoing. However, as we are surrounded
by darkness, we must be a Light, a city upon a hill that
points the Way to Christ.

to the heathen. There was no reason why Judah and
Israel should have been in this position, except they had
turned their backs on God. The People of God were
light years ahead of every other nation, in regards to
education and intelligence, and the reason was that
it came from the Lord. All other nations were deeply
rooted in idolatry, whose inspiration came from demon
spirits. They had no knowledge of Who God really was.
All of this means if Israel would have properly lived for
the Lord, there was no nation that could defeat and
overpower Her. God had raised these People up to
bring forth the Light of the Gospel to the world, to be
the Standard by which others would see the reason for
Her Blessing.
It was then that Daniel was given provisions by
Nebuchadnezzar – meat that came directly from the
King, as well as wine, which he drank. The meat was
forbidden by God, for it would not have been properly
drained of the blood, and the wine was offered as
an oblation (sacrifice) to heathen gods. All, with

A perfect example of this is Daniel. He was of noble
birth, and was a contemporary of Ezekiel and Jeremiah.
It was a time where Nebuchadnezzar had invaded Israel,
it was known as the First Deportation, and took place
in 605 B.C. It was during this time when Daniel, along
with his three companions, were taken into Babylon,
and were groomed to serve in the king’s Court. He
was in his early to mid-teens. He was a part of the best

the exception of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abednego, consumed the meat and drank the wine,
which marked compromise. When approached, Daniel
and his three companions refused to go along with the
others. They stood out from the rest for the Bible tells
us that “Daniel purposed in his heart that he would
not defile himself with the portion of the King’s meat,
nor with the wine in which he drank” (Dan. 1:8). He
became the Standard, showing all around that God’s
Ways were better than man’s. He became the Light in
the midst of darkness.
YOU ARE THE STANDARD
It is the same presently. I want you to understand
that God has placed you here for such a time as this. He
has placed you here to be a Light to those in darkness.
As a Christian, we are not to be like everyone else, and
we are not to be involved in what the world is involved
in. We are, and have been, separated unto Him, unto His
Work. We are not to defile ourselves with the portion
of the world’s meat, nor the wine which they drink. You
are to be the Standard by which they will see the Light
of the Gospel flowing from you. As the Cross of Christ
is the Standard, you also are the Standard. Instead of
them marching to the beat of the world’s drum, they
should march to the beat of our drum, which is the
Cross of Christ.
The modern Youth Group has swallowed the lie that
in order to draw the youth, they must compromise their
beliefs, and walk to the same beat as the world. As many
churches and Youth Groups are doing, as the people are
coming into the Sanctuary for a Sunday Service, instead
of hearing the wonderful words of “Amazing Grace,”
they are met with the dastardly words of groups such
as the Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, and the Beatles.
These churches have lost their way, and the Standard
has been removed. In fact, these churches are no
churches at all, but rather social centers for teens and
young adults.
As a society, our standards have changed. In fact, it
is as if we have no standards at all. The moral fabric of
America is crumbling around us, and the Spiritual side
of this Nation is being destroyed. Right is now wrong,
and wrong is now right, and no nation can survive the
plunge of falling down a slippery slope of rebellion.
But as a Christian, and I do not mean in name only, but
rather you know that you have been washed by the
Blood of the Lamb, you are that Standard.
YOU MIGHT BE THE ONLY BIBLE ONE WILL READ
You must realize that you are the only Bible that most
will ever read. Those who are around you in school,
at home, on the job, on the football field, basketball

court, or baseball diamond, may never open the pages
of God’s Holy Word. You may be the only Bible that
they will ever read. Let your Light shine, and be not
afraid of who you are in Christ. Jesus said, “You are
the salt of the Earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for
nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under
foot of men.
“You are the Light of the world. A city that is set on
a hill cannot be hid.
“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a
bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all
who are in the house.
“Let your Light so shine before men, that they may
see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in
Heaven” (Mat. 5:13-16).
As you stand for that which is right, Christ and the
Cross, your proper Faith will result in proper works,
which will always bring honor and glory to our Heavenly
Father. Be that Standard! Be that Light which shines in
darkness! Be that city that is set upon a hill! God is
calling us to be more like Him, and less like the world.

Are there really only a handful of radicals that have
hijacked the religion of Islam? Or, is it that the religion
itself is radical and hijacks the people? The Qur’an makes
it clear that Muslims have a duty to fight for the cause of
Islam, and its god, Allah. In the Qur’an, Sura (chapter)
9, Ayat (verse) 44: “Those who believe in Allah and the
Last Day ask for no exemption from fighting with their
goods and persons. And Allah knows well those who do
their duty.”
The call and duty is for Islamic followers to fight with
their goods and their bodies. Who are they to fight? The
Qur’an tells its adherents in Sura 9:29: “Fight those who
do not believe in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that
forbidden which has been forbidden by Allah and his
messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of truth, even
if they are people of the book, until they pay Jizya with
willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”
The next question we should ask is, “Where should
Muslims fight what they call unbelievers?” In Sura 9:5:
“. . . fight and slay the Pagans wherever you find them,
seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in
every stratagem of war. . . .”
How long should Muslims fight and carry out the
mandate of jihad? In Sura 8:39: “And fight them until
there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail
justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere. . . .”
There should be no doubt that the goal of the Islamic
religion is to subdue all peoples of the world to the submission of Islam. The Umma (community) of Islam is to
prevail “everywhere.” The world is to be made, Dar al
Islam (The Land is Islam), according to the teachings of
Allah, as given to his Prophet Muhammad. Every good
Muslim will participate with their “goods” or “person”
to accomplish this goal.
AMERICAN HISTORY
America has always struggled against the barbaric
religion of Islam from our origins as a nation. Our

leaders in politics, education, and religion recognized
the archaic ways of Islam; and the need to fight against
the Barbary Pirates with power and force, with one goal
in mind afterwards, to open the door for the Gospel to
be preached! On the other hand many felt compelled
to destroy the followers of Muhammad.
George Washington felt “the highest disgrace” in
seeing America “become tributary to such banditti who
might for half the sum that is paid them be exterminated
from the earth.” Washington said to his former comradein-arms Lafayette, “would to Heaven we had a navy to
reform those enemies of mankind, or crush them into
nonexistence.”
Thomas Jefferson was dismayed with Islam and its
kidnapping of our mercantilists and asking for ransom
costing our new country 1/5 of our Gross Domestic Product (GDP is a calculation of everything we produce) that
in December 1790 he recommended America go to war.
Instead the former Secretary of State was instrumental
to pay the ransom instead of considering the call to war.
Early American religious tolerance did not extend
itself to Islam. It was scarcely considered a religion at all
by prominent colonial theologians such as Cotton Mather
and Jonathan Edwards who regularly denounced Islam
as a false and morally degenerate faith. Muhammad,
according to Harvard president, Samuel Langdon, was a
counterfeit prophet, and worse, “an emissary of Satan.”
Early translations of the Qur’an, and descriptive
books, were written about Islam with one goal in mind,
as George Sales summed up after completing his 1734
version of the Qur’an, “to attack the Koran with success”
and hoped that “for them . . . Providence has reserved
the glory of its overthrow.” Alcoran of Alexander Ross,
published in 1649, set out to expose the “contradictions, blasphemies, obscene speeches, and ridiculous
fables” in the book, so that the Christian Protestants “so
viewing thine enemies in their full body . . . maist the
better . . . overcome them.” Increase Mather, Harvard’s
first president, called for the destruction of the Ottoman

Empire to make way for the Jews’ return.
Today our prestigious Universities are manipulated
by gifts from Saudi Princes to subvert Americans with
a revised historical past that glorifies Islam instead of
detailing its grotesque past. The cry for “seek common
ground” is the mantra of so-called Christian leaders
like Rick Warren; who spoke at a meeting of the Islamic
Society of North America, an organization that supports
Islamic terrorists like the Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood.
ISLAMIC CALL TO WAR
Qur’an (9:73) – “O Prophet! strive hard against the
unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them;
and their abode is Hell, and evil is the destination.”
Qur’an (9:14) – “Fight them, Allah will punish them
by your hands and bring them to disgrace. . . .”
Qur’an (8:59-60) – “And let not those who disbelieve
suppose that they can outstrip (Allah’s Purpose). Lo! they
cannot escape. Make ready for them all thou canst of
(armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby ye
may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy.”
Qur’an (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of
those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads
and strike off every fingertip of them.”
Qur’an (4:76) – “Those who believe fight in the cause
of Allah. . . .”
Qur’an (3:56) – “As to those who reject faith, I will
punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the
Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.”
Qur’an (9:123) – “O you who believe! fight those of
the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find
in you hardness.”
Qur’an (47:35) – “Be not weary and faint-hearted,
crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost (Shakir:
‘have the upper hand’) for Allah is with you.”
Our Government and our leaders need our prayers
now more than ever. Their favorable attitude towards
Islam, almost makes their bias complicit to future acts of
Islamic terrorism against the USA.
As recent as 2006, former top Pentagon official William Gawthrop lamented that “the senior Service colleges
of the Department of Defense had not incorporated into
their curriculum a systematic study of Muhammad as a
military or political leader. As a consequence, we still do
not have an in-depth understanding of the war-fighting
doctrine laid down by Muhammad, how it might be applied today by an increasing number of Islamic groups,
or how it might be countered.”
UNPREPARED FOR WAR
Sun Tzu’s ancient dictum, “know thy enemy” is void
from our Military schools when it comes to Islam. Classical theories such as Clausewitz, Sun Tzu, Machiavelli, etc.

are studied but are very impractical compared to today’s
complex military landscape of warfare and diplomacy.
These outdated and former strategies cannot be called
upon to gain advantage in modern warfare. Unlike Islam,
they also lack a driving motivational force for perpetual
relevancy, and religious conquest. Islam has a theological
quality that claims its precepts transcend time and space.
The example of Muhammad, and Islamic doctrines, are
immutable to Muslims and are just as applicable to Muslims today as yesterday. Jihad is as real today as it was
when Muhammad claimed to receive revelations from
his god Allah to, “fight and slay the pagans wherever
you find them. . . .” Islamic Jihad is more real today in
this generation than any other time in history since its
beginnings. The means of modern communication and
oil money have done more to advance the Islamic goals
of creating a world Islamic kingdom.
ISLAMIC GOAL
Within the call to Jihad is the understanding of all
Muslims to know it is their responsibility to form a world
Islamic Umma, community. Islamic nations throughout
the world call their land a land of Islam, Dar al Islam.
The eternal doctrine of war in Islam must continue until
all nations submit to Islam. These unconquered lands
are called an abode of war or Dar al Harb. The Islamic
“world view” is known as “fard kifaya.” There are several strategies used in the war of Jihad. Most of these
strategies involve negotiating techniques that are set
with the intention to deceive.
Sahih al-Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 269:
Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: The Prophet said: “War
is deceit.”
The strategy of “Hudna” is explained in Sahih Muslim’s Hadith 15:4057: “Allah’s Messenger [Muhammad]
said: ‘He who takes an oath but eventually finds a better
way should do that which is better and break his oath.’”
Muhammad used this approach to gain access back
into Mecca by promising he would not come in war but
only to worship at the Kaba. A truce was established
between the Mecceans and Muhammad and his followers
at a town outside of Mecca called Hudaibiyah; only until
he gained enough power to come into Mecca and take
it over. He then “cleansed” the Kaba of all other idols,
except for his god Allah. This was the same technique
Yasser Arafat utilized when negotiating with Israel. On
television, seen throughout the world, he would speak
of peace; such was the case in his famous “Gun and the
Olive Branch” 1973 speech at the United Nations. In his
secretly recorded 1994 speech in a Johannesburg mosque
and elsewhere, Arafat repeatedly belittled Oslo as a mere
Hudna, and cited the precedent set by Muhammad.

These people come from all over the world. They believe
in what we do, and they want to be a part of it, and we
want them to be a part of it.
I personally believe that all those who are a part of
Family Worship Center Media Church are special in the
sight of God. That’s not just mere rhetoric, I believe
exactly what I am saying. The Message of the Cross is
a Move of God that is touching the entirety of the world.
You are helping us to do this. When you become a
member of Family Worship Center Media Church, you
are saying you want to be a part of what God is doing
in these last days.
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
There is only one qualification, and that is to be BornAgain. Of course, as you well know, it costs money to get
the programming to you twenty-four hours a day, seven
days a week. So we would ask, as the Lord blesses you,
that you would pay your tithe to Family Worship Center
Media Church. In fact, many of you already do that,
for which we are so very, very grateful. However, your
membership is not based on how much money you give,
but this I do know, God will bless you for your efforts for
the Cause of Christ in this respect.
WHY DO WE ONLY READ THE FIRST NAME?
As most of you know, for each of you who join Family

Worship Center Media Church, on the following Sunday,
or perhaps two Sundays later, Frances, Donnie, and
Gabriel, read all the names of the people who have
joined. Actually, we only use the first name and the
state if they’re from the U.S. or the country otherwise.
We don’t give more information, because we want to
protect your privacy. We live in troublesome times, and
every precaution must be taken, which we are doing.
OUR GOVERNMENT
What I’m saying is not directed toward this present
Administration only, but toward basically all of our
leaders so-called.
We have spent over one trillion dollars in Iraq, and
nearly a half trillion in Afghanistan. Beside that, and
even more important, over 4,000 American lives were lost
in Iraq, and over 2,000 in Afghanistan. All of this is done
in order that these countries be made into a democracy.
It seems we’ve failed to understand the following:
• It is impossible to make a democracy out of an Islamic
state. The two, Islam and Democracy, are not even on
the same planet.
• The moment our troops leave, these countries revert
back to what they were before we arrived. So basically,
and I don’t like to say this, but I feel it has to be said,
what we have done has basically been a waste.
• I hurt every time I see the young men and the young
ladies over television who have lost arms or legs, or even
worse, and will have to live with this the rest of their lives.
All because our leaders do not understand what Islam
really is.
• Democracy, that is if it is a true Democracy, is based
on the Judeo-Christian concept. That doesn’t mean a

joining of Church and State, not at all. But it does mean
that the foundation of Democracy is the Word of God.
THE NEW CD TITLED, “IT IS FINISHED”
Music and singing, at least that which is anointed by
the Holy Spirit, is the highest form of praise and worship.
We know that simply because the longest Book in the
Bible is the Psalms, which contains 150 songs, all given
by the Holy Spirit through David and others. I believe this
Album that we’re offering to you is going to be a blessing.
And I would pray that you would take advantage of it. I
think you’ll play it over and over again, and because of
the Anointing of the Holy Spirit that’s on these particular
songs. Get it! You’ll like it!
CAMPMEETING – NOVEMBER 27
THROUGH DECEMBER 1
It’s going to be a little bit of Heaven on Earth. Some
of the finest music and singing, we think, that you will
ever hear, and in which you can participate. And then
the preaching of the Gospel that’s going to lift up Christ
and what He did for us at Calvary’s Cross. You don’t
want to miss this. If you can come, and you don’t come,
you will regret it forever. There will be four Services a
day. Come to some of them, or come to all of them. It’s
your choice.
THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS
I firmly believe this is the Message of the hour. The
Early Church was the Message of the Cross. Now the
Holy Spirit, one might say, has come full circle. Once
again it’s the Cross of Christ, as it always has been. I’m
sure you know that we aren’t speaking of the wooden
beam on which Jesus died, but rather what He there accomplished. This is the key to Victorious Living. This is
the key to overcoming the world, the flesh, and the Devil.
This is the key to “more abundant life.”
And for those of you who cannot be with us in person,
of course, all the Services will be aired over television,
and I would pray that you would take full advantage
of them.

A serious and fundamental lack of understanding
about the biblical role of Church and State in the
New Testament era.

20. ENDTIME HARVEST
•
Heaven, and a heavenly inheritance for the faithful in
Jesus Christ, is ignored or mocked. The focus shifts
to a kingdom “inheritance” on earth, which changes
prophecies about endtimes.
•
Belief in a utopian-sounding “endtime harvest” that is
accompanied by an army of spiritual and/or physical
warriors who enforce “God’s” totalitarian-sounding
kingdom on earth.
•
Prophets and apostles purging the earth of resistance, eradicating “cancer” cells in the body, enacting death penalties for non-compliance to “kingdom”
laws, and ruling with a rod of iron.
•
The belief that Armaggedon, the Great Tribulation
and Judgment Day can be bypassed, avoided, or
explained away by allegory or myth.
•
The terribly erroneous belief that the sword in the
New Testament is a literal, physical sword, instead
of the two-edged sword that is the Word of God.
•
The frightfully mistaken belief that the Church is
responsible to enact endtime judgment and crush all
of the enemies of Christ.

Incorporated within the idea of Hudna is the strategy
of al-Taqiyya, lying. In order to maximize the benefit of
a Hudna lying is permissible in Islam. Al-Taqiyya permits a
Muslim to lie and dissemble whenever they are under the
authority of the infidel. The Qur’an in verse 16:106 says:
“Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief *save him
who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with
the Faith* but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them
is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.”
In other words, Allah will forgive a Muslim who
converts to another faith as long as he or she is only
pretending.
How should our Military view interrogating Muslim
Islamic terrorists? Hardened Jihadists are willing to die for
the cause of Allah. Therefore, any information that can
be obtained from them is at best questionable. Likewise
though, the Bible does give us some wisdom when dealing with evil. Solomon said: “Because sentence against
an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart
of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”
The years of holding captured terrorists in Guantanamo Bay has not helped our cause. Understand, it is not
the place, but the length of time we’ve held the terrorists in custody. Our Islamic terrorist enemy knows how
slow we are to bring them through our justice system.
Notwithstanding, giving them the Miranda rights of
American citizens? What courage we give our enemy to
know that we will make them comfortable, allow them to
practice their faith – the one that kills us – and give them
American attorneys bound by American Constitutional
law to assist them in our Courts?
Instead of sending Islamic nations the Gospel we
send them weapons? The Middle Eastern nations of the
world are buying American weapons. One example is
Saudi Arabia, the country in which Islam was founded,
spends 18% of its GDP (everything produced) on military
expenditures, according to the U.S. State Department,
World Military and Arms Expenditures.
Join with me in prayer for our nation, because these
weapons maybe the ones used during the time of Tribulation, in Satan’s efforts to annihilate Israel with the
help of the Islamic nations of the world united with him
(Ps. 83).
