WALTER HAGEN (1893-1969) Elected to the WNYPGA Hall of Fame in 1986. Born in Brighton (Rochester) New York. Career Began caddying at the C.C. of Rochester at age 7. Broke 80 by the time he was eleven. In 1909, became Assistant Professional at C.C. of Rochester. Head Professional at C.C. of Rochester from 1913 to 1917. Captain of the US Ryder Cup Team: 1927, 1929, 1931, 1933, 1935, 1937 Member of the National PGA Golf Hall of Fame. Playing Accomplishments – Professional Qualified to play in the US Open in 1913 at the age of 20.
