World’s Greatest Aquatic Adventurers Nominated for the
2011 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year
Huntington Beach, California, U.S.A. – Nominations for the annual World Open Water
Swimming Performance of the Year were announced today by Open Water Source. There
include an eclectic group of solo swimmers, relay members, administrators and
aquapreneurs who sought challenges in 14 countries in oceans, lakes, seas and bays of the
world. These heroes and heroines of the open water were selected among the millions of
athletes in the fastest growing sport in the world. Their stories, their exploits and their
lifestyles are extraordinarily inspirational as they are all passionately attracted and
committed to a sport inherent with risks, challenges and beauty.
