Euro RSCG Discovery is the CRM and loyalty marketing arm of Euro RSCG

Nov. 2010: Cossette Inc. restructures under a new umbrella company called Vision7 International. As an agency, Cossette retains
its name as well as president and CEO Brett Marchand to form one of three divisions within Vision7. The agency will offer integrated
marketing services across Canada, uniting the agency’s many offshoot brands into the Cossette structure. The second Vision7
division is called EDC Communications, and represents the international arm of the new holding company. Led by former EVP of
Cossette West Colin Schleining in North America and former EVP of Cossette UK Gregor Angus in the U.K., EDC is a collection
of individual agencies in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. The third division, V7 Media, includes Cossette Media, Jungle Media and
Impact Research.

Dec. 2010: MDC buys Toronto agency Capital C which enjoyed revenues of about $20 million working for clients like PepsiCo, Scotiabank
and Sun Life. MDC also buys Kenna, a customer relationship and marketing communications company.
Feb. 2011: MDC keeps on shopping, acquiring a 60% stake in Anomaly, a multi-discipline agency with offices in New York and London.
June 2011: Target, which plans to open its first Canadian stores next year, hires MDC Partners to develop its overall marketing efforts
in Canada. A team of MDC agencies will handle the account including KBS+P Canada and Veritas Communications, with support from
Northstar Research Partners and Boom Marketing.
Nov. 2011: Subtej Nijjar is named president of Crispin Porter + Bogusky’s Toronto office, taking over for the departing Shelley Brown.
Michael Murray is promoted to VP and executive creative director, replacing Aaron Starkman who left the agency after nine years.

its executive restructuring, with several
senior-level appointments announced.
Annette Warring, formerly COO of Vizeum
Canada, is now COO of Aegis Media Canada,
a new position overseeing both the Carat and
Vizeum brands. Caroline Gianias is named
EVP, trading and communication activation,
and Jennifer Clark is now VP, consumer
insight. Alastair Taylor is promoted to VP,
managing director of Carat Toronto. He was
previously with Carat U.K. Micheal Bispo is
appointed VP, managing director at Vizeum
Toronto. Sasha Grujicic was appointed SVP,
group strategy at Aegis Media Canada earlier
in the year.
July 2011: Aegis Group announces the sale of
its market research unit, Synovate, to Parisbased Ipsos. The deal is finalized in October.

Sept. 2010: After a five-decade career, Hugh Dow
announces his retirement. Dow spent the past three years
as chairman of Mediabrands Canada. Prior to that, he
served as president of M2 Universal for 20 years.
July 2011: Geoffrey Roche leaves Lowe Roche, the agency
he started more than 20 years ago, to work full-time on
a website company he launched with his son. Replacing
Roche is Monica Ruffo, founder of Montreal boutique
agency Amuse, which was acquired by Lowe and Partners.
Her new role is CEO of both Amuse and Lowe Roche.

Taxi reports into Y&R Brands CEO Peter Stringham.
July 15: Michele Pauchuk is appointed president of MEC Canada, replacing Bruce Neve who
was hired as CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group Canada. Pauchuk was formerly executive VP and
managing director at Initiative.
Sept. 2011: Ian MacKellar is named chief creative officer at Ogilvy & Mather Toronto. He
succeeds longtime creative partners Janet Kestin and Nancy Vonk, who left the agency to start a
new leadership training initiative called Swim. MacKellar was most recently senior VP, creative
director at Bensimon Byrne.
Sept. 2011: GroupM opens a new 35-person office for its network Maxus, in Toronto. It’s one of
three new offices for Maxus, along with L.A. and Mexico City. The Maxus Toronto office is led by
president Ann Stewart, who joins from sister GroupM agency Excelerator Media.
