Cheer on the Toronto Marlies as they take on the Lake Erie Monsters! th Parents and Tots Tuesday, April 12th, May 17th and June 14th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A morning of fun for children ages four and under. Join us for songs, parachute games, bubbles and more! There will be plenty of time for free play, and connecting with other families. Jays Day Sunday, April 24th, 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Show your spirit as we cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays, Camp Ooch style. We will have a pre-game pep rally at the Rogers Centre, where you and your family can get your face painted, play games, make signs and enjoy lunch! Let’s go Blue Jays! Community Jam and Family Brunch Sunday, May 1st, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Campers, volunteers, parents, siblings and Ooch staff are coming together to jam and make music. Join us and be part of the biggest campfire band ever assembled. We’ll also be enjoying a delicious brunch together so be sure to bring your appetite. All ages, instruments and ability levels are welcome! Come and play, sing or even just clap along. *Instruments will be provided if you require one. Camp Teomul Family Program *This program is for bereaved families Saturday, May 7th, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Join us for a day full of Camp fun. We’ll enjoy a camp-style lunch together followed by an afternoon of activities including pottery, rock-climbing, music, a campfire and more! Summer Kick-Off Party Hamilton, Saturday, June 4th, 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. Ottawa, Saturday, June 4th, 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. Toronto, Saturday, June 18th, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. London, Sunday, June 19th, 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. Summer Camp is just around the corner and we’re getting ready with our annual Summer Kick-Off Parties! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of games, crafts, lunch, a campfire and more! This is a great chance to meet new friends, reconnect with old ones and get excited about the summer ahead! This is a great introduction to Ooch for new families and everyone is welcome. Family Camping Trip Saturday, June 25th – Sunday, June 26th, OR Sunday, June 26th – Monday, June 27th, 2:00 p.m – 10:00 a.m. the following day Ever wanted to sleep in a tent? Eat your meals outside? Roast marshmallows and sing songs around a campfire? Join us on a camping trip for the whole family! We’ll provide all the equipment. Dinner and a Movie Saturday, August 27th, 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. Enjoy dinner and roasting marshmallows over an open fire on our rooftop patio! We’ll end our evening with a movie. Come enjoy the show! CAMPER & SIBLING PROGRAMS Ages 4 -13 (unless otherwise indicated) Art Fair (ages 4 – 7 and 8 – 13) Sunday, April 10th, 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. Join us at the Artbarn and create a masterpiece! You’ll be sure to leave this event with an incredible creation. Come on out and test your paint pallette it’s guaranteed to be a unique and artsy day! Learn To Code 101 (ages 8 – 13) Saturday, April 30th, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Time to unleash your creativity on the computer! Join us for the first ever Ooch Learns to Code workshop! Campers will learn HTML and CSS basics by hacking pre-existing text, links, images and videos on various templates, and then use their new skills to create their very own website from scratch! YOU Dance Ballet Performance (ages 8 – 13) Friday, May 6th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Camp Ooch with The National Ballet of Canada invites you to an exclusive YOU Dance performance. YOU dance stands for Youth, Outreach and Understanding dance and is designed to introduce children to the world of dance through workshops and performances. There will be lots of opportunities for campers to interact with the artists! Play in a Day (ages 4 – 7 and 8 – 13) Friday, June 10th, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. A cowboy who loves ballet?! A princess who lives on the moon?! Create your very own unique character to be in Ooch’s “Play in a Day”! Parents will be invited to watch this one time only performance. In-City Day Camp (ages 8 – 13) Monday, August 22nd – Friday, August 26th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sign up for a week of Day Camp at Ooch Downtown! Learn new skills, make new friends and have lots of fun! We’ll be doing lots of Camp activities like arts and crafts, rock-climbing and pottery, plus going on some special adventures. Experience all the fun of a week at Camp Ooch without leaving Toronto! YOUNG ADULT & LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS Your Path Through Ooch Leadership Programs: The Leadership Program at Ooch is a great way to continue your journey at Camp, while making new friends and going on adventures. Our program cultivates resilience, self-efficacy, and leadership through defining moments of challenge, laughter, selfdiscovery, and compassion during inspiring and focused programs. The suggested path through the Ooch Leadership Program is as follows: Year 1 – (age 14) Duke of Edinburgh Program (ongoing) Year 2 – (age 15) Teen Leadership and Social Club (ongoing) and Bruce Trail Hiking Trip Year 3 – (age 16) LIT 1/High School Credit Program and Algonquin Park Canoeing Trip Year 4 – (age 17) Up-Stream and Dog Sledding Year 5 – (age 18) LIT 2 Duke Of Edinburgh (ages 14 – 18) Wednesdays 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The Duke of Edinburgh is an internationally recognized leadership award program. Whether you are already enrolled in the program or are interested in this leadership experience, the Duke of Ed workshops will help you with the award components of service, skills, and adventurous journeys. Our workshops will ensure that you are on the right path to success, help you with the new online record books, and provide opportunities to work towards completing your award. Teen Leadership and Social Club (ages 15 – 18) Join your Ooch friends for some new adventures in Leadership. April 16th, 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. It’s National Volunteer Week and in preparation for Earth Day we will be playing our part in keeping Toronto clean and eco-friendly. You’ll earn volunteer involvement hours to put towards your high school graduation requirement. Leadership Retreat (ages 15 – 18) Friday, April 29 , 9:30 a.m. – Sunday, May 1 Ooch Leaders… assemble! Join us north at camp to meet new leaders, reconnect with old friends and kick-start the summer with a perfect balance of skill development and recreation. We will be working on a legacy project! th st April 6th - Learn the tricks of the trade when planning and packing meals for your Adventurous Journey. We will be cooking our dinner that night! May 11th - Are you up for a challenge? We are designing one to put your current skills to use and help build new ones. Join us as we build unity, community and connection by attempting a variety of puzzles and games! May 25th - Let’s get lost in the creative world of painting. Follow a tutorial to create a scenic landscape or go rogue to unleash your creative side. We’ll also celebrate our accomplishments before taking the summer off! May 14th, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Hockey Hall of Fame invites us to celebrate the history of Canada’s game. We are going one-on-one against an animated Sidney Crosby, calling the play-byplays of hockey’s greatest goals, and getting up close and personal with the Stanley Cup! June 4th, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (ages 13 – 18) You’ve been selected to be a contestant for our Teen Game Show Day. Come to Ooch Downtown, join a team and face your friends in a variety challenges from Minute To Win It to Don’t Forget the Lyrics and more! Bruce Trail Hiking Trip (ages 15 – 18) Friday, June 10th, 9:30 a.m. – Sunday, June 12th Are you new to camping in the wilderness?
