“B” Championship Meet

WELCOME to all of the 2016 “B Championship” participating Buxmont swim teams! Norgwyn
Aquatic Club is hosting the Buxmont Swim League “B” Championship Meet on Wednesday, July
27, 2014 at 6:00PM. We are looking forward to an exciting meet during our league’s champ’s
week! All information regarding B Champs can be found in this flyer including location of
team areas, ready bench, etc. (Attachment 1), team volunteer needs (Attachment 2) and
program ads (Attachment 3). Please provide this packet to your families.
This year the theme of B Champs is “TEAM USA” since the Olympic Games are right around the
corner. So it would be great if all of the Buxmont teams show their support of TEAM USA by
wearing their RED, WHITE and BLUE proudly for the meet.

* Please note that the lane assignments are subject to change prior to the meet based upon the number of entries received by
each team.Starts can begin once the coach clears a lane.
Parking:
Please have your families follow the instructions of the police and parking attendants.
There is sufficient parking in the lots immediately surrounding the pool; however,
overflow parking at the Township building and basketball courts will be allowed after
the first two lots are FULL and the Township building closes for the day.

Volunteers:
Check in starts at 4:45PM. Please have your volunteers (including officials) sign in
upon arrival at the Volunteer Check-In table that will be located inside the pool area
at the entrance. ALL volunteers, including the 2nd shift volunteers need to check in so
we can identify any issues early. SEE ATTACHMENT #2 for volunteer needs.
Coaches:
Two parking spots will be reserved for each team’s head coach and assistant
coaches. Each team representative/head coach will provide Joanne Hippensteal with
the names of the coaches being assigned the parking spots and the attendants will
direct them to the reserved parking areas.
A coach’s packet will be made available to each team that contains five (5) copies of
the meet program; please note that a copy of the final meet entries will be sent to
each coach via email prior to B Champs in the event you would like to prepare ahead
of time. Please only share this information with your coaches, as Norgwyn will be
selling meet programs where the proceeds are donated to Manna on Main Street.
When you arrive please check-in at the Volunteer Check-In Table that will be located
outside of the pool’s office. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your
entries please notify Joanne Hippensteal upon arrival. There will be no coaches
meeting therefore, if you have any issues please address them upon arrival.
Seeding:
This meet will be pre-seeded – there will be no deck seeding at this meet. If there is
an issue with entries or oversights please contact the Meet Director prior to the meet
or during the meet. We will make every accommodation possible to benefit the
swimmers!
Starts:
Please let your swimmers know that Flyover Starts will be used except during the
backstroke events in order to expedite the meet.
Meet
Details:
Lanes 1 through 10 will be used for this meet. Each lane will have three timers with
one backup timer being available. Finish Judges will record order of finish (OOF) and
will be used for each heat.
Awards:
Medals for 1st through 3rd place for all individual & relay events.
Ribbons for 4th through 18th place for all individuals & relay events.
Results:
The results of the meet will be sent to the coaches and Club Presidents via email in a
zip file format. If you would like a copy of the results at the end of the meet, please
provide the Meet Manager Official with a labeled flash drive.
Tee Shirts:
D&J sports will be selling Champs tee shirts this year that can be personalized. Tee
shirts can be purchased upon arrival and during the meet by the baby pool.
Merchandise: D&J sports will be selling swim apparel and swim gear during the meet.
Snack Bar:
Norgwyn’s Crab Café will be open from 4:45PM to the end of the meet. The Crab Café
will be serving dinner as well as salads, fruit, desserts, snacks and beverages. So come
prepared to have dinner at B Champs and you will have one less thing to worry
about! The café is located by the baby pool.
Programs:
Norgwyn will be selling Meet Programs at the entrance of the pool for $3.00 and the
proceeds are being donated to Manna on Main Street.

Parking for B Champs: Norgwyn has secured parking attendants to direct ALL parking for the
evening due to the multiple events that are taking place on July 27th. Please follow the parking
instructions provided by these attendants and the Upper Gwynedd Police.

note that 1st half is defined as Events #1 through #22, and 2nd half is defined as Events #23 to #50.

If teams feel that they need a representative at the Ready Benches for the entire meet due to the
number of swimmers participating, please do not hesitate to provide an additional volunteer. I just

Please note that NorGwyn Aquatic Club is also providing volunteers in addition to those positions included on this table, and
volunteer assignments based on size of team and/or number of swimmers entered into championship meet.
Since Dolphin & manual timing is being used for this Championship meet, Finish Judges will be used during the meet to record Order
of Finish (OOF) in the event of an equipment issue.
Norgwyn’s Runner will be stationed at the scoring table/starter area to assist with security in area of Starter and facilitate printing of
labels (for awards) and results (for posting). If needed, runners may assist the awards table.
