Untitled - Theatre 68
With only 68 Cents in my bank account, I was still convinced that you can make a living doing what you love. It
was with this total in my checkbook that I landed my first major acting role. 68 Cents is what I was willing to have
in order to realize my dream. Acting is a passion, an art, and a need that fills my gut.
It is this passion that motivated me eight years ago to pull together a group of the most talented friends I have
and create a Company, a Company I lovingly named the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company. Over the past eight
years, the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company has grown into a family of loving, supportive and extraordinarily gifted
actors. We are fortunate to have come so far in such a short time, but it could not have come without hard work,
commitment, and fervent love for what we do.
Just coming off the six month run of our 13 By Shanley festival, I thought it was time for us to do a comedy and
have some laughs. I was approached by Ryan Paul James because he had an idea for a script. Ryan wanted to recreate a 1940’s radio play with a
studio audience. Being fascinated with that magical time period in this country, I gave him the green light to go ahead and make it happen. Ryan
enlisted Denny Siegel’s help to co-write and co-direct Lost in RADIOLAND, which you will be seeing tonight.
Many of our theatre company members have pulled together and used their talent to make this production what it is. So, sit back and enjoy our
World Premiere comedy Lost in RADIOLAND.

especially Hollywood history. This
project came natural for him. He
had done various versions of Lost
In Radioland with the play Night
Stories. This year, Lost In Radioland
is an original play, making it a World
Premiere with a top notch cast.
Denny is a proud member of 68
Cent Crew Theatre Company.
Previous shows here include
Night Stories and Out West. Denny
also performs vintage radio plays with the LA-based “Fake Radio”
(fakeradio.net). TV credits include ABC’s Whose Line is it Anyway? and

Women in Comedy Festival. She has performed stand-up and improv
around LA with The Fugitives, The Liquid Radio Players, and at The
Groundlings. She currently teaches improv at Bang Studio.
Much thanks to Denny Siegel for her talents as an actress and writer,
and for her quick wit. Thanks to Ronnie Marmo, who selfessly helps
so many actors through Theatre 68. He is one of my best friends
(this last statement was not approved by Ronnie Marmo.) Ryan got
his start in Florida with the Mickey Mouse Club then moved on to
numerous appearances in both TV and film. The past four years, he
has been busy on the stage, doing over twenty plays. He also is in
post production of a documentary he made with Art Linkletter called
What If? Currently, Ryan is adapting a short story Shades of Grace to a
screenplay.
Ryan would like to thank his family for their support, and God for the
dream and the gifts given to me.

mother.
JAMES WELSH
(DETECTIVE GRAHAM)
From a small town in Rhode Island, James was
bit by the acting bug when he started acting
in high school after his family moved to Los
Angeles. James took the stage as Farmhand

with acting. A young father, James has two
sons, one a decorated war hero with three
