Untitled - Theatre 68
With only 68 Cents in my bank account, I was still convinced that you can make a living doing what you love. It was with this total in my checkbook that I landed my first major acting role. 68 Cents is what I was willing to have in order to realize my dream. Acting is a passion, an art, and a need that fills my gut. It is this passion that motivated me eight years ago to pull together a group of the most talented friends I have and create a Company, a Company I lovingly named the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company. Over the past eight years, the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company has grown into a family of loving, supportive and extraordinarily gifted actors. We are fortunate to have come so far in such a short time, but it could not have come without hard work, commitment, and fervent love for what we do. Just coming off the six month run of our 13 By Shanley festival, I thought it was time for us to do a comedy and have some laughs. I was approached by Ryan Paul James because he had an idea for a script. Ryan wanted to recreate a 1940’s radio play with a studio audience. Being fascinated with that magical time period in this country, I gave him the green light to go ahead and make it happen. Ryan enlisted Denny Siegel’s help to co-write and co-direct Lost in RADIOLAND, which you will be seeing tonight. Many of our theatre company members have pulled together and used their talent to make this production what it is. So, sit back and enjoy our World Premiere comedy Lost in RADIOLAND. Ronnie RONNIE MARMO (PRODUCER) Ronnie is the cofounder and Artistic Director of 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company, established February 2001. He has produced 30+ stage plays, including the critically acclaimed Bill W. and Dr. Bob (which has enjoyed over 320 sold out performances over the last 6 years, and is currently running); West of Brooklyn, with Jerry Ferrara; Bent, with Tyler Christopher; and What the Rabbi Saw, with Eva Longoria; The Last Days of Judas Iscariot; followed by Subway Series, short plays written by members of the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company. He most recently produced a six month run of the critically acclaimed 13 by Shanley Festival. Ronnie’s feature films include West of Brooklyn with Joe Mantegna, which was released on DVD on August 18th; Limbo Lounge, currently in post production; Fish Without a Bicycle, with Brian Austin Green; and Another Happy Ending. He also produced the television pilot, Stage 4. Ronnie can currently be seen in the recurring role of “Ronnie Dimestico” on General Hospital. www.westofbrooklynthemovie.com www.ronniemarmo.com. q eq eqe Ronnie Marmo - Producer Ryan Paul James - Director & Writer Denny Siegel - Codirector, Writer & Hedda Clopper Omar D.
