Bring It On: The Musical
Thursday, May 22, 2014
7:30pm
$35.00 / 46.00 / 68.00
Rock of Ages
The worldwide party musical ROCK OF AGES
features a mix of 28 rockin’ 80’s tunes including
DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’, WE BUILT THIS CITY,
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN, WANTED DEAD OR
ALIVE, HERE I GO AGAIN, CAN’T FIGHT THIS
FEELING, and I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS.
In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl met
a big city rocker in LA’s most famous rock club,
and they fell in love to the greatest songs of the
‘80s. It’s five-time 2009 Tony® nominee ROCK
OF AGES, an arena-rock love story told through
the mind-blowing, face-melting hits of JOURNEY,
NIGHT RANGER, STYX, REO SPEEDWAGON,
PAT BENATAR, TWISTED SISTER, POISON,
ASIA, WHITESNAKE, and many more. Don’t miss
this awesomely good time about dreaming big,
playing loud, and partying on!
Enter the mind and the world of Don Quixote as
he pursues his quest for the impossible dream.
Against all odds, a man sees good and innocence
in a world filled with darkness and despair. This
lyrical and amusing adventure is a classic tale of
the triumph of man over his own follies.
2013 Tony® Award
Nominee for Best Musical
and Best Choreography!
Bitingly relevant and sprinkled with sass, BRING IT ON:
THE MUSICAL inspired by the Bring It On film, takes you on
a high-flying journey through friendship, forgiveness, and
determination. BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL tells the story of
the challenges and unexpected bonds formed through the thrill
of extreme competition. With a colorful crew of characters, an
exciting fresh sound and explosive dance with aerial stunts, this all
new story is sure to be everything you hoped for and nothing like
you expected. The New York Times calls it, “Impossible to resist!”

Scott Suchman
Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on
Broadway, BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL features an original

The scene is Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where the
three Magrath sisters have gathered in the family
home. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at thirty
and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the
middle sister, is back after a failed singing career on
the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on
bail after having shot her husband in the stomach.
Their troubles are grave and yet, somehow, hilarious.
This winner of the
1981 Pulitzer Prize
for Drama is poignant
and filled with humor.

Jazz Fest XLIV features internationally
acclaimed jazz pianist, author, composer, and
teacher, Kenny Werner. The festival hosts high
school jazz bands on the UWGB campus for
adjudication with professional jazz musicians
and a master class. Two jazz bands are
selected to perform alongside the UWGB
Jazz I Ensemble and Kenny Werner in this
afternoon concert.
Winner of the Tony® “Triple Crown” for Best Musical,
Best Score and Best Book, AVENUE Q is a gutbustingly hilarious modern musical focusing on a
group of unique 20-somethings making their way in
the big city, seeking their purpose in life. Although
the show addresses humorous adult issues, it is
similar to a beloved children’s show; a place where
puppets are friends, monsters are good and life
lessons are learned.

A new concert series presented by UW-Green
Bay’s Music program offers new perspectives
on diverse musical styles. 360˚ Thursdays
feature scintillating and provocative discussions
by a composer, performer or arranger. Together,
you will consider a single aspect of the music
through multiple perspectives. Diverse styles
are performed to broaden horizons and
deepen understanding.
During World War II, an elite group of female pilots,
championed by pioneer American aviator Jacqueline
Cochran, were selected to serve as WASPs, Women
Airforce Service Pilots. They were not embraced by
their male counterparts and struggled for acceptance
on a daily basis. Censored…brings to life a dark time
of bigotry, sabotage, and the consequent cover-up of
an all but forgotten chapter of American history.
Join us as we celebrate dance in a concert
of faculty and student choreography
representing a diverse medley of styles.

An intricate time traveling comic thriller. A London
sex specialist from the future stumbles into a murder
plot that sends her, compliments of a unique set
of hotel doors, traveling back in time. She and two
women who were murdered in the same room
decades earlier, race back and forth in time trying to
rewrite history and prevent their own violent ends.
Playwright, Sir Alan Ayckbourn (Bedroom Farce), is a
master of farcical comedy and the recipient of both
the Olivier and Tony® Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Rated R for strong language and adult themes.
