WHAT
is Smilesaver?
Smile saver is a new initiative from McIntosh Dental that will help
you afford the dental care you need.
We have found that the patients that routinely see the dentist and
hygienist for regular check-ups are the ones who require the least
amount of dental treatment. For these ‘regulars’, only two dental
visits per year are needed. The first visit is to see the dentist &
hygienist together for the annual check-up and clean, and the
second visit six months later to see the hygienist. This six-monthly
routine keeps them in the best oral health, helps avoid dental
pain, and unexpected dental bills.
We want to help more people avoid unexpected dental bills, and
that’s why we created Smilesaver.
At its heart, Smilesaver is a savings plan requiring very small
weekly payments. From just $6 per week, you can have all the
routine dental care you need, for as long as you need it. Once
enrolled in Smilesaver, you can take advantage of all the benefits
that membership has to offer including all the services listed in
this booklet.

HOW
does Smilesaver work?
Simply decide on your Smilesaver plan – Plan 6, Plan 9, or Plan
X and start making regular payments to McIntosh Dental. As a
welcome to Smilesaver, we will give you a $50 credit on your
account to get you started. You can use this for any treatment or
products you wish.

After six months of payments, we will book you in for your first
Smilesaver check-up or Hygienist appointment. As you build up
your Smilesaver over time, you can book in for dental check-ups,
Hygienist appointments, fluoride treatments, and even fillings if
you need them.
If you want to save for elective treatments such as cosmetic work
or teeth whitening, choose Plan X and set your weekly payments
at a level you can afford.
When you are due for your Smilesaver appointments, we’ll get
in touch with you and give you priority booking that suits your
schedule. If you don’t use all your Smilesaver funds in a single
year, it will just keep accumulating and we will send you regular
updates so you know how much you’re saving.

WHICH
Smilesaver is
right for me?
Everyone is different, so we have created different Smilesaver
plans to suit different needs.
If you are aged 18-23 and you already have good oral health,
you may only need Plan 6.
If you are over 23 years old or you enjoy having your teeth
professionally cleaned more often than once a year, you should
choose Plan 9.
Plan X is for patients who wish to design their own Smilesaver.
If you choose Plan X, we will have our Smilesaver co-ordinator

2. Fill in the application form at the back of this booklet or online

3. Run your Smilesaver for six months
4. Start receiving your Smilesaver benefits!
