patchcords with the same reliable features such as
“lock-in-place” coupling nuts, mechanical end stops
that protect O-rings and stainless steel sleeves that
maintain optimum sealing.
Cable lengths range from 0.3 meters to 5 meters.

LEDs for input and output devices
ifm’s passive wiring block systems provide a rugged
yet simple solution for wire consolidation in
applications with a high-density of input or output
connections. Wiring block systems can replace
junction boxes and terminal strips, and will help to
prevent wiring mistakes.
When using wiring block systems, devices can
be changed in seconds, greatly reducing
maintenance costs.
Robust wiring blocks withstand harsh environments
For application versatility, wiring blocks are available in cabled models as well as quick
disconnect models that require an M23 quick disconnect cable for electrical connection.
ifm offers a wide selection of patchcords that connect to the wiring block systems.

ifm has developed a complete line of M12 cordsets and patchcords that provide
reliable performance in aggressive washdown environments. The cordsets and
patchcords are designed with a 316 stainless steel coupling nut that offers excellent
corrosion resistance and provides the longest protection against freezing and rusting.
The smooth, hexed-shaped coupling nut cleans easily in extreme washdown conditions
and withstands harsh abrasives.
The connectors' O-ring is
manufactured with
EPDM, a chemically crosslinked elastomer that
offers excellent flexibility
in fluctuating temperatures. EPDM provides
ideal insulation resistance
and strength and offers
protection in caustic
cleaning environments.

The 4-wire cordsets feature 0.2 nF internal capacitance;
4 µH internal inductance. The 5-wire cordsets feature
0.5 nF internal capacitance; 5 µH internal inductance.
The product line meets RoHS standards and is silicon and
halogen free.

DIN-style patchcords for solenoid valve control
ifm’s DIN-style patchcords are made according to industry standard EN 175301-803
(formerly DIN 43650). The patchcords are used as protective electrical enclosures for
electrical connections such as solenoid valves used in hydraulics and pneumatics.
ifm’s DIN-style patchcords offer a completely molded plug-and-play design that
interfaces female ISO solenoid connections to 8 mm, 9.4 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm or
18 mm connectors. The rugged connectors offer high durability and application
versatility. ifm’s DIN-style patchcords provide an IP67 sealing rating and a temperature range of -25 °C...80 °C.

material
PVC (polyvinylchloride) offers excellent
performance in a wide range of
temperatures. PVC cables resist flame,
heat, moisture and abrasion. PVC is
considered the most commonly used
cable jacket material in industrial
automation applications.
TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) resists a
broad range of oils, chemicals, acids and
solvents. TPE is a high flex material and is
rated for over 5 million flex cycles. It can
be used in continuous flex applications
