In the Beginning...
We started 10 years ago in
the garage of our founder’s childhood
home in Ladera, CA. Complete truth. So,
Ladera is much more than a skateboard
brand. Since its inception, Ladera has
embraced the very essence of the skate
& surf lifestyle, rejecting any number of
trends and fads in favor of individualism
and a pure dedication to our sport.
For the past decade, our commitment
to performance and quality has been
the catalyst for change and growth,
transforming the Ladera family from a
small, tight-knit crew of skaters into
a global network of athletes, artists
and musicians. Now stretching from
coast to coast and across continents,
Ladera remains focused on redefining the
capabilities of every single rider- after all,
performance can only be as high as the
board you ride.

Kevin Walsh
Living in Santa Cruz, CA doesn’t
come without its consequences.
Perfect, cold-water surf, a
deep-rooted skate culture and
an endless variety of creative
inspiration helped shape Kevin
Walsh into a unique and successful artist, and one
that shares in Ladera’s goals and visions perfectly.
Kevin’s distinct, bold style has graced Metallica
posters and the bottom of professional surfers’
boards, and now they’re right at home on the latest
batch of Ladera skateboards.
The 2010 Ladera skateboard line
is the result
of years of testing and development,
with shapes designed to provide
optimum performance and allow for
individual progression. All decks are
constructed with Canadian Maple wood
and epoxy glue, and made to withstand
rain, sun, and salt-water air. Hand drawn
art adorns the bottom of our decks,
embodying Ladera’s commitment to
self-expression.
Bamboo Monkey Mini
Cruise
At 24” long and 8” wide, the
Monkey skateboard deck is small,
even by mini standards. But don’t
let its diminutive size fool you; a
stubby, surf-inspired shape makes
the Monkey as stable as it is
maneuverable. The high-performance
pocket rocket skateboard sports
stylish bamboo top and bottom
plies, plus an Indo-inspired graphic
by Kevin Walsh. A perfect setup for campus shred sessions,

when you’ve got the Micro Bus in
your quiver. The result of five years
of mini skateboard refinement, the
Micro Bus is narrow and short with
moderate concave and a diamondshaped kick tail. This little bad-boy
is part campus cruiser and part
performance shredder, adorned with
a tasty NorCal-flavored graphic by
Kevin Walsh- but that’s just icing

A stunning, hand-drawn graphic
by Kevin Walsh might give you the
impression that the Pelican mini
is just an ornament meant to hang
on a wall. You couldn’t be more
wrong. Using the template from
our popular Homegrown mini shape,
we crafted this deck with oldschool bank skating in mind, adding
concave and a steeper kick tail to
give the rider the all the benefits of
contemporary skateboard design.

After uncovering an original ‘70s
skateboard deck made out of
beautiful exotic purple-heart
wood, we couldn’t help adopting
the stylish retro shape into
our own line of skateboards.
Of course, the Purple Heart is
only an adaptation of the oldschool artifact. We threw in
contemporary touches like a
diamond kick tail and mellow
concave, to turn the skateboard
into a high-performance mini fit
for the modern rider.

A revised version of Ladera’s
popular Surf and Turf mini
skateboard, the Temple has a
classic ‘70s shape along with
generous concave, nose-kick and a
tail. The 29” skateboard deck works
well in the park and the street.

After the success of our Pool
Party skateboard, we decided
to unveil another bowl blazer
that takes a popular ‘80s deck
template and turns it into a
modern skating machine, this time
with a slightly slimmer outline for
maneuverability and comfortable
cruising. Of course, the Pool
Maggot is as aggressive as its
name suggests, with a pronounced
kick-tail and a stubby nose kick
designed for flying around the
bowl and launching over the tiles. Cruise/Park
Remember the skateboard you
were riding over the coping back
when Bad Brains and fishtails
ruled? Flash back to the days
of the ‘80s back-yard barbeque
with Ladera’s 33” Pool Party
skateboard. We worked with
Ladera team rider Drake Stanley to
research and develop an updated
retro deck by combining a classic
‘80s shape with a functional ‘90s
mold that includes concave and
a nose kick. The result is the
finest of bowl blazer skateboards,
perfectly suited to light up the

Inspired by perhaps the toughest
human being to ever walk the
earth, the Mountain Man longboard
skateboard deck is a trusty tool fit
for the adventure that is downhill
skateboarding. Hugh Glass was
a 19th century American mountain
man who was mauled by a grizzly
bear in 1823, barely escaping with
his life before crawling over 200
miles- half mutilated and with a
broken leg- to the nearest outpost.
And the Mountain Man skateboard?
Moderate concave, a slight kicktail, and a proven shape make the

necessary for our best-selling
Ripper longboard skateboard deck,
but we did slap on a sweet graphic
depicting the timeless beauty of
a red-tailed hawk. Like the Ripper
longboard skateboard, the Hawk
represents the apex of longboard
design with a tried-and-true pintail
shape, moderate concave, and a
slight kick tail. {Throw on a set
of Randal Flashback trucks and
Abec 11 wheels and you’ve got a
high-performance set-up built for
speed}. And now with the help of
artist Kevin Walsh, the skateboard
shape truly is picture perfect.

The new Downhill Ripper
skateboard was created with
speed-freaks in mind: stiff 8 ply
maple, a sleek tear-drop shape, and
a long wheelbase ensure maximum
stability at scary-high speeds.
To better optimize a low, wide
downhill stance we pushed the
trucks back, did away with the
kick tail and added a deep concave
to keep the rider’s feet locked and
loaded. When it comes to serious
downhill skateboarding, we know
that performance is the key aspect
of a riders’ equipment- that’s why
we didn’t make compromises with
the Downhill Ripper.

Using our newly developed custom Ladera Blend Formula,
Ladera Wheels offer better grip and a longer life than
the traditional longboard wheel, in both 66mm and 70mm
shapes. Side set hubs and extra-wide geometry increases
traction, while a thick carving lip hugs asphalt like
an Indy car tire. All wheel faces are blazoned with a
graphic by Santa Cruz artist Kevin Walsh.
66mm- Ladera Boogers Wheels
Our Ladera Boogers are modeled after the
‘70s wheel shapes that helped the original
style-masters lean into Bert slides, charge hills
and surf the sidewalks. We added a little width
to the design to increase traction and carving
potential when needed. The harder duros allow
for smooth, controlled slides. Available in Neon
Green Formula (82a Durometer) and Neon
yellow formula (84a Durometer).
70mm- Ladera Snot Rockets Wheels
With a shape that maximizes surface area,
the Ladera Snot Rockets are a race-inspired
wheel design with a thicker carving lip to hold
tight lines at high speeds and a wider contact
patch for increased traction that still allows for
controlled drifting through high speed turns.
Available in Red formula (78a Durometer) and
Purple Formula (80a Durometer).
