Kalos Golf
Golf’s Finest Travel Experience
Combining the best of international golf with the
convenience of private jet travel, our Golf Around the
World by Private Jet journey promises a travel
experience unlike any other.
In 1994, Kalos Golf introduced the golf cruise, a
new concept in travel. Chartering the Sea Cloud
family of ships, Kalos began transporting golfers
comfortably and stylishly to the top courses in
Europe. Our first clients appreciated the exceptional
service and luxurious accommodations offered by
Kalos—and the golf cruise concept took off.
Over the last 20 years, Kalos Golf has created
special golfing memories for the more than 8,000
guests who have traveled with us. New for 2014,
we’re proud to announce our inaugural private jet
golf trip, provided by private jet expedition
operator TCS & Starquest Expeditions.
On this unique around-the-world golfing journey,
you’ll experience new cultures and incredible
scenery, while playing some of the world’s best
courses. Challenging layouts from top architects
ensure that this will be a golfing experience you’ll
never forget.

Learn While You Explore
Enrich your journey. Expert lecturers travel with us
throughout the entire expedition to illuminate the
varied cultures we encounter. These experts will deliver
thought-provoking lectures onboard using our special
in-flight multimedia system, and will be available to
continue the discussion over dinner or as you explore
each destination.
We also arrange for exclusive meetings with esteemed
local experts whenever possible, giving you a rare
insider’s view into local life. During sightseeing
excursions, you can listen to the insights of our expert
and local guides through a simple, comfortable and
state-of-the-art audio system that gives you the
freedom to roam on your own.
Featured Lecturer
David Keeling is a lecturer for the American
Geographical Society and head of Western
Kentucky University’s Department of
Geography and Geology. His research interests
include the geography of exploration and
discovery, resource use, regional cultures and development in
emerging economies. A self-proclaimed “generalist,” Keeling
provides physical and cultural context for each destination,
focusing on what makes it unique, and explores these issues indepth both in his presentations and in conversations throughout
the journey. Born in England, he has lived in Australia for 12 years.
Make a Difference
By joining us on this expedition, you automatically support efforts to make the
world a better place. In each destination, Kalos Golf and TCS & Starquest
Expeditions will provide supplies for medical centers or schools, donate funds
for essential community programs and support economic growth and
sustainability by purchasing traditional handicrafts made by local artisans.
Q&A With Kalos Golf
President Jim Lamont
What was the inspiration behind this Golf
Around the World by Private Jet tour?
What we’ve been doing for years is finding out-of-theway, exotic golf courses that people enjoy playing,
coupled with great touring and cultural experiences.
When we found the right combination of countries
and courses—desert golf, island golf, jungle golf and
links—we knew we wanted to do it by private jet.
What excites you most about this tour?
You expect Valderrama, New South Wales and
Fancourt to be great courses, and they’ll absolutely
meet your expectations. But some of the lesser-known
courses, like Nirwana, Chiangmai Highlands and Le
Touessrok will really be surprises. A lot of golfers have
had Dubai on their radar and this is the perfect way to
do it. Fly in, play two world-class courses, see some
sights and fly out again. The beauty of Mauritius will
just leave you shell-shocked. And in Chiang Mai, the
golf is extraordinary. It doesn’t make the top lists just
because it doesn’t get the frequency of visitors, but these
are stunning courses in jungle settings.
What makes this around-the-world golfing
journey so special?
We put this trip together considering the makeup of
the golf courses, their strategic design, their setting—all
the things that combine to make a great golf course. It’s
a really fun lineup of golf, with new scenery and new
challenges every day—all with no hassles. We eliminate
the downside of golfing and traveling: lugging your
clubs and figuring out the logistics. Don’t worry about
anything. We’ve set up the trip so that you can enjoy all
the extraordinary places you’ll be playing.
Fancourt Montagu, South Africa
Maui—Oct. 9
Depart your hometown independently on a commercial flight to
Maui, the Magic Isle of Hawaii. Meet your fellow travelers,
lecturers, golf director and expedition leaders this evening at a
festive welcome dinner at your oceanfront resort. If you’d like to
arrive a day before the tour begins to play Kapalua’s legendary
Plantation Course (see pre-tour option below), just ask. We’ll be
happy to book pre-tour nights and tee times for you.
Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua
Pre-Tour Option: The Plantation Course at Kapalua
The Plantation Course at Kapalua—annual home of the PGA
Tour season-opening Tournament of Champions—opened for play
in 1991. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, Kapalua is a
seaside, open-country course with stirring elevation changes and
brilliant views of the Pacific. The ever-present trade winds will keep
you on your toes as you find your way to mammoth greens with
plenty of break. Above all, Kapalua is delightfully challenging, and
you will remember every drive, approach, chip and putt. It’s a
fantastic optional practice round for your journey to come.
Cross the International
Date Line—Oct. 10
From Maui, begin your voyage across the Pacific, crossing the
international date line. Jump forward a day en route and arrive in
Fiji the following afternoon.
Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa, Fiji
Nadi, Fiji—Oct. 11-12
Welcome to paradise. Fiji’s 333 islands in the heart of the South
Pacific enchant with their white-sand beaches, azure waters and
palm trees swaying in a balmy tropical breeze. From your
beachfront resort, indulge in the pleasures of the tropics. Venture
out for a tour of a local village for an authentic Fijian experience.
Board jet boats and cruise up the magnificent Sigatoka River—
the longest river on the island—and visit the Kalevu Cultural
Center, which offers artisan demonstrations of Fijian handicrafts.
Or take a catamaran cruise to nearby islands for a snorkeling and
swimming adventure in the clear blue waters.
Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa
The Plantation Course at Kapalua, Maui
The Course:
Natadola Bay Championship Course*
Opened in 2009, the Natadola Bay Championship Course
presents a memorable challenge for our first round of golf. It’s an
intriguing mix of seaside and mountain golf with about half the
holes running along the sea, and half playing through undulating
twists and mounds. While the elevated tee boxes present
fantastic views of the rolling hills and crystal-blue water, golfers
will also need to be wary of how the wind changes at the higher
elevations to score well.
Sydney, Australia—Oct. 13-14
Don’t be surprised if a hearty “G’day” rings out as you touch
down in Sydney. Australians are some of the most welcoming
people on earth, and your time here will be full of adventure,
good cheer, tasty food and, of course, world-class golf. When
you’re not on the course, take some time to explore Sydney on a
guided walk of the Rocks district or a behind-the-scenes tour of
the Sydney Opera House. You may choose to explore the
enchanting Blue Mountains National Park, filled with fragrant
eucalyptus trees, scenic gorges and thundering waterfalls. Or
enjoy a relaxing barbecue lunch on a Sydney Harbour cruise.
Shangri-La Hotel
The Course:
New South Wales Golf Club
On the shores of dazzling Botany Bay stands the resplendent
New South Wales Golf Club, designed by Alister MacKenzie of
Augusta National fame and recently tuned by Australia’s own
Greg Norman. You’ll be hard-pressed to focus on your game with
the stellar sea views from almost every hole. As with most great
courses, New South Wales takes what the terrain offers, enhances
it and makes you feel as if the course has simply always existed.
Nirwana Bali Golf Club, Bali
Bali, Indonesia—Oct. 15-16
Known as the Land of the Gods, Bali entrances even the most
veteran explorers. Immerse yourself in one of the most diverse
ecosystems in the world. Discover the essence of Bali in bamboo
forests, rice paddies and the green hills of the central highlands.
Take in the beauty of Bali’s historic temples and the refreshingly
spiritual perspective of the people. Explore the village and
surrounding areas of Ubud, the island’s cultural and artistic
capital. Share tales of your travels as you dine in style with a view
of one of Bali’s most significant sea temples.
Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort
Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort
The Course:
Nirwana Bali Golf Club
Designed by Greg Norman, this magnificent course plays along
the southwest coastline of Bali. It is a striking work of seaside golf
with a mix of lush jungle canopy and dramatic ocean views,
including the vista of the mysterious, seemingly shipwrecked
Tanah Lot Temple. Several holes will simply take your breath
away, like the signature seventh hole, a par three that plays over
the beach to a well-protected green. Nirwana delivers truly
marvelous golf, taking you on a roller-coaster ride through riceterraced valleys, across streams, through jungle, over a beach and
along stunning ocean cliffs.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates—Oct. 20-22
Dubai’s glittering skyscrapers tower over the stark desert and
gleaming waters that surround this coastal metropolis. When
you’re not playing golf, wander through Old Dubai, carve some
turns on the indoor ski slope and cruise Dubai Creek on a
traditional dhow. Then feast like an emir during an outdoor dinner
and falconry show under the desert stars.
Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel
Chiangmai Highlands Golf Club, Thailand
Chiang Mai, Thailand—Oct. 17-19
Founded nearly 700 years ago as the new capital of the thriving
Lanna Empire, Chiang Mai offers visitors a heady mix of vibrant
history, splendid natural landscapes, incredible food and the
country’s best shopping. When you’re not on the course, cruise
through the city by tuk-tuk to see the old city walls, moat and
iconic temples. Browse the wares in the lively night market. Our
tour has some fun with the local elephants and learns the secrets
of a perfect pad thai in an interactive cooking class.
Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi
The Courses:
Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club*
Annual host of the Dubai Desert Classic, the Majlis Course
attracts tour professionals from around the world. Carved out of
the desert and winding through naturally rolling terrain, the
fairways sometimes appear as narrow green targets; expect to play a
few sand shots here. Tall dunes frame the perimeter of the course
and numerous lakes come into play on several holes, including the
famous par-five 18th.
Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club
The Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is regularly a top-ranked
course in the region. For a course that is in the heart of the desert,
water plays a surprisingly strategic role in your ability to score well,
with creeks and ponds commanding strategic placement and layup
decisions on holes.
The Courses:
Chiangmai Highlands Golf Club*
With over 100 fairway and greenside bunkers, Chiangmai
Highlands is both exciting and challenging. From the inviting
downhill first hole, the golf course seems to flow naturally with
the undulating terrain. The beauty and challenge of this course
grows with each passing hole until its thrilling, dramatic finish on
the unforgettable 18th.
Alpine Golf Resort, Chiang Mai
Set in a valley surrounded by a majestic mountain range just east of
Chiang Mai, Alpine Golf Resort is a beautifully conditioned course
where water plays a strategic role on many holes, including the
island green No. 15. The fairways are large and receptive, and open
to gorgeous views of the surrounding foothills. But, don’t get
distracted, the course is lined with many trees and large, cleverly
placed bunkers that demand your attention to score well here.
Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, United Arab Emirates
George, South Africa—Oct. 26-28
Framed to the north by the verdant Outeniqua Mountains,
George is at the heart of South African golf. Away from the
courses, travel the Garden Route in splendid Tsitsikamma
National Park and ascend Montagu Pass to take in the gorgeous
scenery and sample some of the famed wine. Our tour will visit
Featherbed Nature Reserve followed by a cruise in Plettenberg
Bay to look for whales, dolphins and seals.
Fancourt Hotel
Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita
Mauritius—Oct. 23-25
Formed by ancient eruptions of undersea volcanoes, tiny Mauritius
sits like a diamond in the Indian Ocean. Several options on water
and land await. Travel to one of the island’s main fishing villages,
Mahébourg, to explore its diverse plants and wildlife. The Royal
Botanical Gardens of Pamplemousses is one of the most beautiful
gardens in the world. For architecture and history enthusiasts, the
stone fortress of La Citadelle overlooks the harbor in Port Louis,
and the Eureka Colonial House is one of the oldest on the island,
featuring gorgeous waterfalls on its grounds. End your stay in
Mauritius by participating in a regatta—one of the island’s most
popular water sports. Join in this fun boating adventure that is
followed by a beautiful lunch served outdoors.
Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita
The Courses:
Fancourt Montagu*
Updated by David McKay Kidd (Bandon Dunes) in 2005, the
Montagu course is one of the original courses at Fancourt. Trees,
water features and bunkering force strategic play around this
course that rolls through the undulating landscape. Each hole
also rewards with spectacular scenery of the surrounding
Outeniqua Mountains, fertile farmland and the magnificent
Fancourt estate.
Fancourt Links
Reminiscent of a true Scottish links course, Gary Player created
some of the best links golf in the world here, and it’s no wonder
Fancourt is ranked as the top course in South Africa. Blind
shots, abrupt sandy mounds covered in fescue, small landing
areas and firm fast fairways—signatures of a true links course—
combined with magnificent views make this a beautiful and
challenging course.
The Courses:
Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita*
Anahita, designed by Ernie Els, rises and falls naturally with the
landscape, and the holes run in a variety of different directions,
which will keep you on your toes as the breezes shift direction.
The finishing three holes, which play out and around a small
peninsula, are a wonderful and exciting close to an impressive
island golf experience.
Le Touessrok
Take a 10-minute boat ride to Deer Island to this golf beauty
designed by Bernhard Langer, where the sea is visible from every
hole and the challenging golf course encompasses almost the
entire island.
Fancourt Links , South Africa
Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, United Arab Emirates
La Cantina at Fancourt Hotel, South Africa
Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita
Málaga, Spain—Oct. 29-30
Touring guests can soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere with
a variety of activities. In Jérez, sample the world-famous sherries
and brandies. Or choose to visit the village of Ronda to sample its
cheese and enjoy a tapas lunch, and be sure to take a stroll over
the Ronda Bridge. In Málaga, visit Alcazaba, the king’s palace
and the town’s most important building from the Moorish
period. Art enthusiasts will want to visit the Picasso Museum,
featuring work from his early life to the 1970s. Everyone can
prepare to get in tune with the duende of Andalucía as you
indulge in a farewell flamenco dinner.
Finca Cortesin
The Course
Club de Golf Valderrama*
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Valderrama, the “Augusta
National of Europe,” is the perfect capstone to your golf journey
around the world. It’s consistently ranked as the top golf course
in continental Europe and is also ranked among the world’s top
100 courses. The venerable cork oak and olive trees give each of
Valderrama’s holes a distinctive shape and look. The playing
conditions are impeccable and the course provides a serene
and—as the site of the 1997 Ryder Cup—historic setting to
your closing round of what will be a golf journey like no other.
Club de Golf Valderrama, Spain
Home—Oct. 31
Following breakfast, transfer to the airport to connect with
your scheduled commercial flight home. Or, we will be happy
to book post-tour nights and tee times for you in Málaga.

Health Requirements: This is an active program, which requires you to make a realistic assessment of your health. All participants
are expected to be in active good health, to enjoy traveling as part of a group, and to be ready to experience cultural differences
with grace. Walking and climbing stairs are required in many hotels and airports, to board the aircraft, during golf and as part
of many excursions. Prior to traveling, Operator highly recommends visiting your personal physician for a check-up, so that you may
discuss your ability to participate in this type of journey. To go to certain destinations or participate in certain activities, you may
need to obtain your physician’s approval, in this case a form will be sent to you for your physician to sign. Operator is prepared
to arrange for an alternative destination or activity, in case a physician recommends it. Malaria and other diseases may be
present in some of the countries featured in this itinerary. For the latest recommendations on specific health precautions for
the areas you will visit, consult your physician and the Centers for Disease Control. Any physical condition requiring special
attention, diet, or treatment should be reported in writing when the reservation is made. Operator will make reasonable efforts
to accommodate participants with special needs; however, Operator cannot accommodate wheelchairs. If you require a slower
pace, extra assistance, or the use of a cane or walking stick, arrangements will be made for private touring at each destination, if
necessary, at the discretion of Operator’s staff. Any extra cost for such arrangements will be the responsibility of the participant. If
you would like to forego some of the scheduled golf or sightseeing to rejuvenate and relax, please feel free to do so at any time. Photography and Video: Sponsor and Operator reserve the right to take photographs or videos (the “Photography”) during
the Tour and to use the Photography for promotional purposes. Participants who prefer their images not be used should notify
Operator in writing before the commencement of the Tour. Basis of Rates: All prices are based on two persons sharing a room. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars. The rates are
based on current tariffs and are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. While Operator will make reasonable efforts
to maintain the listed prices, if it is necessary to levy a surcharge, Operator reserves the right to do so and will notify you at the

right to cancel and receive a full refund. The following are major changes: (1) a change in the departure or return date, unless
the change results from a flight delay experienced by the air carrier (If, however, the delay is longer than 48 hours, it will be
considered a major change.); (2) a change in the origin or destination city for any flight leg, unless the change affects only the
order in which cities named in a tour package are visited; (3) a substitute of any hotel of lower standard; (4) a price increase of
more than 10 percent occurring 10 or more days before departure. In no event can Operator increase your price less than 10
