APPLICATION GUIDE
Helpful Hints
• Apply Monty’s PlantVantage on leaves when possible,
otherwise soil a pplication is acceptable for all products.

• Monty’s recommends an application of Premium
Soil Conditioner at the beginning of every season
for all plants. Note: Premium Soil Conditioner may
stain carpets.
• Grow-in, fill-in, or to reach desired size: apply Premium
Growth at a rate of 1 tbs to 1 gallon of water until
desired results are achieved.
• Monty’s recommends applying during the cooler part of
the day (early morning/late afternoon). The product is
rain-fast once it has dried on the leaf surface.
• For maximum results, Monty’s recommends the
application of its premium products. For an economical
alternative, All-Purpose Plant Food may be substituted
for Premium Growth and Fruit & Vegetable Plant Food
can be substituted for Premium Root & Bloom.

Indoor House Plants (including Ferns, Bougainville, Mandeville, lilies, palms, etc.): Apply Premium Root & Bloom weekly
at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water.
Orchids and African Violets: Apply Premium Root & Bloom weekly as a root-dip or wick water at a rate of 1/2 tsp to one
gallon of water. Do not apply to foliage.
Perennials (Iris, lilies, ferns, ivy, euonymus, etc): At the beginning of the season, apply Premium Soil Conditioner at a rate
of 1 ounce to one gallon of water and Premium Growth at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water. During the season,
apply Premium Root & Bloom weekly at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water.
Trees and Shrubs (Evergreens and deciduous): At the beginning of the season, apply Premium Soil Conditioner at a rate
of 1 ounce to one gallon of water and Premium Growth at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water. During the season,
apply Premium Root & Bloom weekly at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water.
Vegetables (Above ground: tomatoes, zucchini, squash, peppers, etc): At the beginning of the season, apply Premium
Soil Conditioner at a rate of 1 ounce to one gallon of water and Premium Growth at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of
water – until plants reach bloom stage (maturity). At bloom stage, apply Premium Root & Bloom weekly at a rate of 1 tsp
to one gallon of water.
Vegetables (Below ground: Carrots, onions, melons, potatoes, etc): At the beginning of the season, apply Premium Soil
Conditioner at a rate of 1 ounce to one gallon of water and Premium Root & Bloom at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of
water. After first application, apply Premium Root & Bloom weekly at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water.
Fruits (Strawberries, blueberries, grapes, etc): At the beginning of the season, apply Premium Soil Conditioner at a rate of
1 ounce to one gallon of water and Premium Root & Bloom at a rate of 2 tsp to one gallon of water – until plants reach
bloom stage (maturity). At bloom stage, apply Premium Root & Bloom weekly at a rate of 2 tsp to one gallon of water.
Lawns: At the beginning of the season, apply Premium Soil Conditioner at a rate of 1 ounce to one gallon of water
and Premium Root & Bloom at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water. During the season, apply Premium Root & Bloom
weekly at a rate of 1 tsp to one gallon of water. Do not apply during periods of plant stress in the summer months, unless
adequate rainfall is anticipated.
