British bass James Platt is in his second year and is about to start rehearsals as Zaresty in Eugene Onegin. The final recital in this current series is given by Irish soprano Jennifer Davis and Australian mezzo-soprano Emily Edmonds, both in their first year as a Young Artist and making their Blackheath Halls debut. They are accompanied by David Gowland. In the autumn they appeared together in Rossi’s Orfeo at Shakespeare’s Globe and in May 2016 will reunite for 4.48 Psychosis at the Lyric Hammersmith. Since then it has presented a diverse programme of concerts, featuring some of the world’s leading artists, as well as comedy nights, talks, exhibitions, and specific events for children and young people, and a varied community engagement programme.
