We are getting excited…….the bazaar committee has
been working diligently the past few months putting together this family friendly 3 day event for our parish. The
beautiful grounds at Holy Redeemer provide the perfect spot
for a “family” gathering of this size.
Taking into consideration the results from the post
bazaar survey last year, a few changes/improvements have
been made…..the bingo tent will be relocated, the bar
area and “bountiful basket” stand enlarged, the flea
market will get more lighting and we have lined up
great entertainment that should appeal to everyone.
Bring the kids, grandparents, and friends to feast
on delicious homemade foods...porketta, tripe, piggies,
meatballs, pizza, try your luck at a few games, browse
thru our “flea market” or simply relaz and enjoy a cold
beer!!
Parish social functions are planned not only for
the revenue they generate, but for the opportunity for
fellowship they provide. The success of our bazaar will
be determined not only by the weather, but by all of us
joining together as we volunteer our time, talents and
treasure.
This weekend is “volunteer commitment weekend”. We need YOUR help!! This weekend at mass you
will have the opportunity to fill out a volunteer
form….please do so, even if you cannot commit to a
specific time right now, committee members will be
happy to call you. Teenage volunteers are welcome in
childrens’ games and as runners for the food tent.
Families with children are encouraged to volunteer in
childrens’ games. For safety reasons, only adult volunteers are allowed in the bar and the food tent.
We have listed days and times when volunteers
are needed to prepare & cook foods and construct &
set up grounds. Please note, we need the help of strong
young men
and boys to help with grounds set
up…….thank you

Lottery Tickets We are in need of “scratch off” lottery
tickets for our Lucky Frames both at the bazaar If you
can help please drop them in the collection at mass next
weekend.
Childrens’ Games We are in need of small prizes for
childrens’ games ex. lollipops, trinkets, and balls...all
shapes and sizes from ex large to small….beach balls, all
sports balls, etc.
Flea Market Items for the flea market can be dropped
off at Holy Redeemer on the following days (please
bring items to garage behind the church)

2012 Priesthood Ordination
On Saturday, June 30, 2012, at 10:00AM in St Peter’s
Cathedral, Scranton, Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera,
D.D., J.C.L., will ordain the following men To the Order
of the Priesthood...Rev. Mr. Alex Roche and Rev. Mr. Jeffrey D. Tudgay. All are invited and encouraged to participate in this solemn Mass. Please pray for these men as
they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Holy Orders.
Pilates Classes
Get in shape and stay in shape!! Pilates has been so successful, another adult class has been added...Tuesdays at
5PM. For a donation of $5.00, you will be amazed at
what you can accomplish under the guidance of expert
trainer Darlene Medico. Strengthen your core, sharpen
your mind, lighten your heart!! Join us in Immaculate
Conception Church hall on Tuesdays 5PM-6PM and
6PM-7PM, Thursdays 6PM-7PM, and Saturdays 8:30AM
–9:30AM for mat Pilates and Wednesdays 9:00AM to
10:00AM for chair Pilates. All proceeds benefit our parish Social Concerns Committee.

The Women’s Guild of Devine Mercy Parish, Davis St.,
Scranton will hold a bus trip to Lancaster on August
18th. The bus will depart from Mattress Man in the Birney Plaza at 7:45am. Stops will include Kitchen Kettle,
The Farmers Market, Rockdale Mall with QVC, and
Shady Maple Restaurant for dinner. Cost of $25 is for
bus only; you are responsible for meals. All are invited.
