Who Or What Is a Maker?
Maker is a term used to cover a wide range of
creative work, projects and hobbies. If you are a
tinkerer, coder, woodworker, crafter, farm hacker,
artist, student, designer, chemist, roboticist,
entrepreneur, scientist, food inventor, metalworker,
educator, green technology creator, inventor,
corporate designer or bicycle builder, you are a
maker. Let’s celebrate at the Faire!

out of wood! She cuts the gears by hand and carves

Oscar is a robot Jon made to perform as ring-bearer in a
friends’ wedding. He is about 2’ tall and controlled remotely
from a phone via bluetooth. His brain is an Arduino Micro.
He also has some lights, a motor controller to move his tank
treads, servo motors to move his head and eyes, a text-tospeech chip so he can talk, and a microphone so he can
dance along to music.

With a small portable crucible furnace transported on an
awesome cargo bike, Pedal to the Metal will use cuttlefish

The Ghost Trolley

The Ghost Trolley is an apparition of a streetcar that used to
grace the streets of our city. Built from new steel and lumber,
its tarnished and rusty frame is made to seem as though
the trolley was pulled from the weeds of an old scrap yard,
a relic that has been unearthed and brought back to life.
The Ghost Trolley will be pulled by another project of Mr.
Murphy’s, a hacked 1971 solar powered tractor. Come take a
ride on a piece of real and imagined history!

She design a simple circuit board for them, and then buys
