Q. Can I use the Tab key to navigate through the PostalOne! application and postage statements?
On the Mailing Characteristics page and elsewhere, the page can be navigated with TAB, but in many cases
selections must be made with the mouse. If using the TAB key, be sure to note where the cursor is placed – it will not
automatically start within the PostalOne! system fields, but in the URL address field.
An example of this method working is the “Continue” button at the bottom of various pages. You can navigate to
“Continue” using TAB, when it is highlighted and then press ENTER to be taken to the next page.
You can also use the space bar to make a checkmark in a box.
Q. What do I need to know about entering Postage Statements?
1. When entering numbers with a decimal point, you will have to enter the decimal point. It is not automatically
entered for you in the PostalOne! system.
2. The Rate Category check boxes are useful as an aid to navigation if you want to use them. These boxes are not
required. If nothing is checked, all lines are available.
3. For any entry you make, do not hit the Submit button more than once – this will result in dual entries in the
database.
4. You can use the wheel on the mouse to select items in drop down boxes. Since you need to use the mouse anyway,
clicking on the down arrow and highlighting your selection may be just as easy.
5. Check to make sure the NumLock key on your keyboard is either on or off. If it is on, you will be able to use the
number key pad on the right side of the keyboard.
6. When entering data in the postage statement detail line, you should either use the Delete key in the field or
backspace over the incorrect info without using the Space Bar to accomplish the correction.
Q. When conducting an account search, what is the purpose of selecting ALL for Account Status?
If you select ALL for an account search, the search results will display all accounts- Active, ADDPOS, Cancelled,
Denied, Inactive, and Temp.
Q. What do I need to know when I search for a transaction or an account?
When searching for a transaction to process a Reversal, you do not need to enter alpha characters that may be part of
a transaction number to perform the search.

Q. How do I make the text bigger for easier reading?
From the top menu bar of the Internet Browser, click View. Select Text size. Select from the five choices: Smallest,
Smaller, Medium, Larger, Largest.
Note: Altering the text size from the default setting will change the size of the contents of the page and may require
scrolling horizontally and/or vertically to see the full page.
Q. Can I use the browser back and forward button to navigate the PostalOne! application?
On most web sites, the browser back and forward buttons are used to navigate from one page to another. However,
when you use the PostalOne! application, you are working with financial information which may be lost if you do not
use the buttons specifically built into the system. You may also receive an error message and have to log on again.
Please reference the PostalOne! online training for additional details - http://blue.usps.gov/postalone/training.htm.
