By now, cooking aficionados worldwide are familiar with the story:

Microplane® kitchen products are based in Russellville, Arkansas by family-owned Grace Manufacturing Inc., a longstanding company specializing in the crafting of precision thin metal parts for home and industrial use. First created
in 1990 as a new form of woodworking tool, the original Microplane did not find its way into the kitchen until 1994.
