Participant Testimonial:
Four years ago I was involved in a serious car accident. My back was
broken and 2 ½ vertebrae were pulverized. I was left in severe pain
which was eventually compounded with arthritis and osteoperosis. I was
directed to various health specialists at considerable expense but to no
avail. I was advised they had nothing to work with.
As a last resort, my family Doctor suggested I visit the Gentle Joints
exercise class. On that first day I could barely make it to the corner of
the gym . I was stooped over, in much pain and used a walker. Several
sessions later, I didn't expect a miracle, but I stand somewhat taller, the
pain has diminished, I enjoy my outings in class each week, and have
become a world traveler. I am somewhat wiser from listening to the
ladies' chatter during class too.
Joy has made me realize that if I do not continue to use my muscles and
joints within my limitations, I shall wither away. I am in my 89th year!
