15 runs 3 quad chairlifts 220 foot vertical SKIING • SNOWBOARDING • TUBING MOUNTAIN BIKING • TREETOP ADVENTURE PARK 2012-2013 A NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION 2012/13 ~ Welcome to Boler Mountain Welcome to Boler Mountain and our sixty third year of operation! While we are not Whistler, we are proud of what we do have to offer to South Western Ontario’s skiers, boarders and snow tube enthusiasts. With fifteen trails, three quad lifts, three lanes of tubing and over one hundred qualified instructors, we have a solid basis for rewarding family and individual winter outings and serious skill development. Boler has some of the best snow making facilities in Ontario; combined with two modern snowcat groomers and a very experienced staff, Boler Mountain offers first class snow conditions throughout the season. For the generation that has grown up riding and skiing in terrain parks, Boler has a commitment to build and maintain the features in its terrain park to challenge their ability and to keep the riding experience exciting. Boler Mountain has been fortunate to attract experienced and dedicated ski and board instructors. Skill development is a major focus at Boler, and regardless of what level you are at, we know we can offer you instruction and coaching to assist you in becoming a better skier and boarder. New to Boler this year will be freestyle coaching and the purchase of an inflatable Bag Jump, to allow freestylers to safely push their limits in developing new manoeuvres. Boler Mountain is a not-for-profit entity which owns the 120 acres of land from which it operates, as well as the facilities, lifts and equipment used in its operations. Boler is governed by an elected Board of Directors of twelve volunteer members who represent the membership and is managed by a team with solid experience in the industry. We are host to the London Track 3 program and its 200 volunteers who provide skiing opportunities to the physically and mentally challenged. Boler is also committed to the development of young racers, and supports the racing program organized by LSC Racing. The opening last year of our West Hill was a significant landmark for Boler and the end of a five year strategic plan. The planning continues, and we have launched a new Master Plan process for further developments which will take in both winter and summer uses for the Boler property. Among many other things, the Plan includes a fourth ski pod and quad lift, expanded beginner facilities, a new community based chalet, as well as a summer adventure and activity park. The details are posted on Boler’s website and we welcome your input. Our goal is to provide our guests with a quality winter experience and first rate service, in a fun and friendly atmosphere at affordable prices. We are committed to an ongoing process of continuous improvement of our facilities and our services, consistent with long term sustainability and the resources available. We trust you will find that we live up to our expectations, and if not, we hope to hear from you on how we can do better. On behalf of the board of directors, the volunteers and staff, it is our hope that you enjoy the time you spend at Boler Mountain. We are always looking for feedback, suggestions and constructive criticism. Feel free to contact our managers, Marty and Greg, our board members and myself. John R.
