Periodically, Sprint needs participants
to verify eligibility so they can receive
the discount and waived activation fees.
If you’re planning on signing up for the
Sprint Credit Union Member Discount,
you’ll need to verify eligibility as well.
New Sprint Customers: You need to
verify membership within 30 days of
activation.
Current Sprint Customers: You need to
provide proof of discount eligibility (credit
union membership) when you upgrade
your device if it has been 20 or more
months since you were last validated.
The verification process is easy and
only takes few minutes to complete. Verification will make sure you’ll continue to
receive the great benefits and exclusive
savings Sprint offers. There are two ways
to validate your credit union membership.

Good Savings Habits Are No Mystery
Happy Retirement,
Anna!
Learning to save money
takes practice. By saving,
you can put your money
toward whatever is
important to you—whether that’s a new
video game, a trip to the movies, or even a
college education.
Our wonderful
Administrative
Assistant, Anna
Sneed, retired
on January 29.
A reception
in her honor
was held at
Nashville Electric Service. ESCU would
like to thank everyone who came to wish
Anna a happy retirement. Hundreds of
guests stopped by to wish Anna good
luck, and we want you to know how
much that meant to Anna and to ESCU.
You can still see Anna on NES paydays at
the Downtown Branch desk, and she’ll be
working on NES Retiree Lunch Days.
Let’s get started...
Elementary School
Ask your parents to help you open your
own savings account at the credit union.
Keep track of how much money you put
in and take out to see how close you are to
meeting your savings goal.
If you’re saving up for something
special, like a new bike or toy, hang a
picture of it on the wall. This will remind
you of your savings goal every day until
you reach it.
Middle School
Ask your parents if you can plan a
family event, like a trip to the zoo or
an afternoon at a waterpark. List all the
things that will cost money, like tickets,
food, and souvenirs. Set a budget, and
encourage everyone to stick to it when the
big day arrives.
Make a list of things you want to spend
your money on. Put the list in order,
starting with the things you want the
most. This will help you figure out what
you really want to save for.
High School
Consider taking a part-time job.
Earning your own money can help you
save for big goals, like college expenses.
Talk to your parents about opening
a checking account at the credit union.
Learning how to use a debit card
responsibly and balance your checkbook
is good money-management practice.
Night Deposits Available

‘Stache Your Cash at ESCU
Visit ESCU the week of April 21-27 and help us
celebrate National Credit Union Youth Week. Kids
ages 12 and under who open a new account will get a
special Savings Sleuth t-shirt. And, don’t forget to enter our coloring contest, just
for members of our Bolt Bucks program. Parents can download our coloring page
from the ESCU website at www.escu.com. Just return your completed Savings Sleuth
coloring page to any ESCU branch by Monday April 29, 2013, along with your full
name, and we’ll draw a winner from all the pages received to win a $25 Visa gift card.
If you’ve always used our Downtown
branch, you may not be aware that
you can make deposits after hours at
either the Hendersonville or Donelson
branches. Both branches have night
depositories where you can drop your
deposits safely into our night deposit
vault. All night deposit transactions are
processed on the next business day.
