A short time later, Anton Böckmann introduced the first box trailers – here, too, the cattle trailer served as the basis. The trailers quickly found a market. Even for the Olympic Games in Seoul, Böckmann provided the ideal transport solution for the German equestrian team: the design of a new type of container for horses for Lufthansa. At the age of 21, Anton Böckmann had already acquired his master craftsman’s diploma in forging handicraft. With technical expertise and tremendous enthusiasm, he operated a vehicle repair service – in particular, agricultural machinery. Demand increases and finally, at the beginning of the 70s, serial production begins in the new production halls. From the initial 100 m2, manufacturing facilities have now grown to around 21.600 m2. All four brothers – Gilbert, Tönne, Klaus and Roger Böckmann – have remained active riders right up to the present day. A crucial success factor as is shown with all Böckmann products. The meticulous, hand-made Böckmann quality is internationally in demand – whether in Brussels ... Then, regular contact with their own horses has resulted in the development of new innovations. For the practical testing of a prototype, Klaus and Roger Böckmann are always directly involved.
