Dear Parents and Friends of St. Francis of Assisi,
Welcome to the Fourteenth Annual International Food Fair! Our parish and school
community are delighted you could join us for this festive evening of food, socializing and
spirited bidding.
We invite you to travel the globe and experience a taste of cuisine from six different
cultures as well as some traditional Wisconsin favorites! Come and taste a variety of Greek,
Italian, German, Asian, Latin American and Polish ethnic flavors. Top off your feast with a
delicious dessert from our International Themed Dessert Booth. A booth featuring fine
chocolates will once again be offered. A variety of beverages will be available to quench your
thirst throughout the night.
Peruse through the Silent Auction areas; they are filled with treasures to be awarded to the
high bidder. Back by popular demand is the Wine Pull area with the opportunity to win a wine
tasting party for twelve. Test your skills in the Minute To Win It area. Browse the array of
uniquely displayed items in the Gift Collections raffle area. Check out the Oral Auction, you
will find one-of-a-kind items that are only available at the International Food Fair. Be sure to
get your Ticket to Ca$h for a chance to win one of ten cash prizes. Get caught up in the
excitement of bidding! It is a win/win situation: you have fun and our school receives support!
St Francis of Assisi School is especially grateful to Roncalli High School for being the host
site of our largest fundraiser. They have graciously offered their facility, equipment and
expertise to make certain this event is successful.
The International Food Fair is the work of many volunteers who spend hours preparing to
make the night special. Many families have provided donations for this year's event. Thank
you to our Food Fair sponsors for your financial support. Your commitment to Catholic
education allows our school to continue to provide strong academic and spiritual programs.
Thank you also to our business leaders. Your donations to our school and to this community
event are an investment in the future of our students and the lakeshore area.
Eat with gusto, enjoy your friends and family, and catch the contagious spirit of the
evening! Shop early for the holidays and have a wonderful, relaxing evening socializing. Thank
you for joining us, and if you can't join us, at least give a high-five in our direction!
Bless Us O Lord and These Thy Gifts,

Pastichio
Pastichio is a hearty traditional Greek pasta served mainly during special occasions
and holidays. It starts with long, hollow pasta, blended with butter, olive oil and grated
mizithra cheese from Greece. The pasta is layered with a chopped meat mixture of sauteed
onion, cinnamon, nutmeg, tomato paste and red wine. All of this is then topped with a fluffy
layer of bechamel sauce and baked. Perfect for a chilly evening!
Athenian Salad
Imagine yourself at a seaside tavern (Greek-style restaurant) sipping on a glass of wine
and enjoying a mouthwatering feast as your eyes are locked on the breathtakingly
beautiful blue sea. This scene would surely include a salad made with the freshest
village ingredients. To add an American twist we added a nice sampling of the tasty,
unique Greek gyro meat which compliments the crisp greens, kalamata olives, feta cheese
and fresh tomatoes topped off with a perfect Greek vinaigrette.
It is sure to become a favorite.
Baklava
Paper-thin layers of pastry, chopped walnuts and melt in your mouth syrup.
Moschofilero (Wine)
A brilliant, crystal-clear white wine with intense floral and fruity aroma.
