“Where strangers become friends, and friends become family.”
Tonight, our evening service will be focused on encouraging our young people
to continue to let their “lights shine” as they head back into school! We love our
young people and know that school can be a challenging time of life, so let’s all
make sure we do all we can to encourage them! Afterwards, we will have a time
of fellowship and fun for ALL of our youth. So make plans to have your children
here that evening to be a part of the fun!
“
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your
good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven“ Matthew 5:16

Pew Packers will be meeting tonight following our evening worship service.
This is always a great time of singing, learning, and laughing for the children of
our congregation.
Don’t forget to make plans for you and your children to be here
tonight! Our service will be meant to encourage our young
people to continue to let their “lights shine” as they head back
to school! There will be a time of fellowship and fun afterwards!
The McCarver visitation team will be meeting, Sunday, August 17th, following
our evening worship service at the home of Doyle and Della McCarver. If you are
not currently a part of a visitation team we would love for you to come join us!
On Wednesday, August 20th, our iDisciple Ministry will host a free
spaghetti dinner for the community. The dinner will be held before our
Bible study that evening. The iDisciples are looking for help with this
event. Volunteers will be needed to help cook and to visit with our guests
that evening. If you would like to make a donation to help with
purchasing all that is needed, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
GOSPEL SINGING
On Friday, September 19th, Rainbow will be hosting it’s annual Gospel Singing from 7:00-9:00 pm. Elbert Lewis
from Alder Springs will be our emcee for the evening. Make plans to be here and support this joyous time of
singing praises to our Father! There will be refreshments served afterwards. More information coming soon.

Larry Naler is collecting donations for
the Atchley family (neighbor of Rita
Phillips) with the loss of their 9 yearold son, Callister, and home in a tragic
fire last month. The family is in need
of help and anything you can do
would be a huge help. We ask that
you continue to
keep Jennifer
Bates and the
Atchley family
in your prayers.
Thank you for
your help.
This year’s Annual Absolutely FREE Carwash and
Breakfast was a huge success! A large amount of you
guys came out and supported this wonderful event and
helped in its success. We washed a total of 54 cars and
enrolled 22 of our visitors into our World Bible School
program. That’s awesome! It truly is wonderful to have
opportunities like this to reach out into our community.
Thank you for your continued support in out efforts here
at Rainbow!
The World Bible School office in Zimbabwe is in desperate need of a photo-copier! The ones they have been
using are no longer working. They use these machines to make copies of the lessons they send out. Without a
copier, it really slows down their progress and ability to send out lessons to waiting students. The team in
Zimbabwe really needs our help.
Some money has already been raised for a new copier for their office, but more funds are needed.
They are trying to reach $2000 to purchase what they need. If there is any way you can help, please
see Milton McArthur or come by the church office. Thanks!

Each month our Elders take a turn sharing the responsibility of “Elder of the Month”. During that month,
that Elder is the contact person for our flock for any needs that they might have. During the month of
August, John Wallace is the “Elder of the Month” you can reach him at 256-442-5887 (James 5:14)
