Universal BaseFit Instructions
Universal BaseFit Instructions
-The beauty of the BaseFit is in its functionality. It can be set-up, broken-down, added-to, and rearranged in an infinite number of ways.
-Since we can't make specific instructions to every different configuration out there we wanted to
at least nail down a few universal rules when putting your BaseFit together....
1. ALWAYS EXERCISE CAUTION, use the buddy system as two or three heads are better than one
(additional hands are needed to hold things in place while bolts are driven through)
2. The components that make up your BaseFit can be used universally throughout the rack but
there are optimal configurations that will provide both functionality and stability (e.g. the optimal
placement of a double chin bar will help stabilize the rack and provide an added station to train)
3. When your pallet arrives make sure that everything you ordered has indeed been shipped. If
you feel something is missing or have a question call Sorinex @ 1-877-SORINEX
4. Lay all your components out (single chin bars, double chin bars, uprights, feet, etc) in the
general configuration that you envision
5. The four close holes on the upright is the TOP of the upright, the feet install at the BOTTOM of
the upright at the opposite end (its best that the feet point OUT for stability purposes)
6. All bolt assemblies are the same throughout the rack (bolt, two washers, nut - CONFIG:
bolt/washer/chinbar/upright/chinbar/washer/nut)
7. Begin by hand tightening one "side" of a BaseFit cube (see diagram on page three) Four BaseFit
"sides" will make a free standing BaseFit "cube" (the size of the cube depends on the length of
your chin bars
8. This cube can now be expanded upon in any of 4 directions (the bolts already being used may
have to be "shared" with the next chin bar in your configuration
9. Double chin bars can be installed at waist height (as well as the top) to provide a dip station
10. Single chin bars can be installed from upright-to-upright as well as double chin bar-to-double
chin bar throughout the rack
11. The dip/plate storage pins can be installed anywhere throughout the rack (anywhere you
might need storage, band compatiblity, or a dip station)
12. DO NOT TIGHTEN the bolts all the way down until you have the rack placed where you want it
on the floor as the rack will self-level when its loose
13. The holes at the very bottom of the uprights are for the feet, it is not essential that the foot
bolt run through the hole if you are not planning on bolting the foot to the floor
14. WALL MOUNT UNITS - Sorinex does not provide any hardware for mounting your BaseFit unit
the wall (as wall material varies from customer to customer)
