Stan Chem is a prime producer and
exporter of a wide range of specialist,
organic aqueous seaweed extracts. The
Yarmouth seaweed plant has British Soil
Association Approval Certification.
Seaweed Extracts have long been known
and used by farmers, growers and
gardeners for their rich nutrient and soil
conditioning values, as well as biostimulant growth. Extended root systems
can be obtained giving plants greater
nutrients in the soil enabling long term
health. The Organic Seaweed extracts
produced by Stan Chem are used as foliar
feeds and support growth in a wide range
of crops from vegetables like potatoes and
beans, to fruits including bananas and
apples, as well as flowers such as roses.
Natural Seaweed Extracts are non-toxic,
harmless and non-flammable fertilisers for
organic farming. Seaweeds are marine
algae and saltwater dwelling plants. They
are found throughout the world’s oceans
and seas, and none are known to be
poisonous. Cultivation of Seaweed plants
has continued to rapidly develop over the
past two decades due to demand and
more frequent use owing to the major
benefits they enhance, especially as they
contain cytokinins and betains giving
good benefits regarding control of pest
and diseases.

Stan Chem supplies a range of specialist liquid and solid concentrates (DEFRA certified,

The International Export Division handles sales from the head office based in Reading, close to London’s Heathrow airport.
The Company has been actively marketing chemical and pharmaceutical raw materials as well as natural ingredients
worldwide for three decades. Stan Chem enjoys exporting some 250 products through their International Division and their
products can be found in over 30 countries.
The Company is known to be a reliable and experienced export Distributor and relationships are well established with their
Principals and Customers. Regular visits both to the Group’s overseas offices and their appointed Agents in many other

NON ALCOHOLIC HAND SANITISER
Stan Chem markets an alcohol free quaternary based hand
sanitiser, available in concentrated or diluted forms. The sanitiser
is based on the ingredient Benzethonium Chloride, together with a
drying agent, moisturiser and fragrance, and can be used to wash
hands where water shortages occur. When applied to the palm of
the hand and upon rubbing, it will provide quick
drying and have a sanitisation effect and
feel like a typical hand lotion or gel.
The material can be retail packaged
as a liquid-to-foam product through
a specialist foaming nozzle or in gel
forms (low or high viscosity types),
or customers can purchase in bulk
concentrate, or bulk ready-to-use
liquids and gel forms. The product
can also be used in the production
of all types of wet wipes.

Biotechnica Services was established to bring to the market a
range of natural based products that modify or enhance biological
processes. Its main activities are in producing and marketing
products for soil conditioning in agriculture and horticulture as well
as water management. These products improve the biological
activity within the soils and waste, improving nutrient utilisation,
reducing leaching and discouraging pathogens from establishing.
Horticulture & Agriculture
Farmers are becoming increasingly aware of the need to adopt
more environmentally sustainable farming methods. They are
under pressure by the water companies to control leaching.
Fungicides and pesticides are being withdrawn or restricted.
They have to use greater volumes of fertilisers to maintain
yields and expend greater energy to till and prepare the soil.
Biotechnica Services has spent several years developing a
range of soil conditioners with farmers, agronomists and our
own scientists to overcome these problems, to allow farmers to
grow good quality crops using lower chemical inputs. This
system of farming is called BioAgronomy.

A range of water dispersible powders containing cultures of over twenty micro organisms. Used to repopulate the soil
and to treat the crop canopy to introduce a range of bacteria and fungi, which will work in harmony with the plants
to improve nutrient uptake and to help resistance to stress and disease.
BioFlo (organic certified) – Wetter, biostimulant and stress relief agent
It improves water spread and penetration and alleviates stress conditions and also improves nutrient absorption. It is
a natural biostimulant, which increases biological activity in the soil and stimulates plant growth and development.
BioHumate™ – Increases cation exchange capacity & soil organic matter fast
A powerful biostimulant based on humic acid derivatives, BioHumate stimulates the micro population in the soil,

Management Technology is intended
to reflect the variety of resources
offered in their relationship to the type
and source of the problem odour.
Control methods used include treatment
of the odour generating matter by
biochemical means, through to
treatment of the atmosphere or local
environment to alter the odour to an
acceptable level. Special consideration
is given to ammonia and hydrogen
sulphide, which are toxic as well as

Natural plant glycoside to stimulate aerobic action and
reduce anaerobes. It ties up ammonia and sulphides,
reducing odour and improving fluidity, a natural
detergent thereby reducing grease and scum
accumulation.

Sepiolite
A natural clay with a very high surface area and
absorption properties to take up ammonia, sulphides,

A unique combination of soluble silicate with humic derivatives, which complex the silicon and make it bioavailable and able to be taken up by the plant from a foliar application.
BioSulphur – Quickly improves soil structure, nutrient balance and pH
Clay Breaker, pH Adjuster, Leaching Control Agent & Sulphur Source!
This is liquid colloidal sulphur that is available very rapidly to adjust pH and to re-balance conditions to
favour nutrient release. It is particularly useful on high calcium or sodium soils, or where there are excessive
levels of inorganic fertiliser residues. Also useful to adjust sulphur deficiency and as a sulphur source foliar
spray.
Hydropol™ – Potassium X-Linked Polyacrylamide
A super absorbent polymer that retains up to 400 times its own weight and acts as a
durable water reservoir.
Mycortex™ (organic certified)
Root extensions to acquire more nutrients
Seedbed and root-zone treatment containing Mycorrhiza and Bactolife in a granular
form; improves nutrient availability, retention and helps to establish a biological barrier
towards potential pathogens.
Pan Buster – A powerful wetting agent and soil conditioner
