On Thursday 4th December we will be having a “Teachers verses Student Representative Council” cricket match which the WHOLE school is invited to watch from 2:30pm -3:30pm. We are asking that on the day, all students and staff wear PINK and make a gold coin donation to the cause. Every dollar makes a difference and your donation will help the McGrath Foundation to place McGrath Care Nurses in Communities right across Australia, as well as to increase awareness in young Australian women. MATCH DETAILS Thursday 4th December Teachers V’s SRC WHPS Oval 2:30pm ~ 3:30pm CRÊPE DAY: Thursday 11 December 2014 Thursday 11 December is crêpe day at WHPS. Crêpes are thin French style pancakes. Robert Garric, a professional French crêpe maker, will be visiting the school on this morning and every grade (both French and Mandarin students) will have the opportunity to purchase a freshly made crêpe with their choice of topping. All crêpes cost $4. Students will still require their own lunch on the day. The toppings are: ☺ au citron et sucre (lemon and sugar) ☺ à la confiture (jam) ☺ au miel (honey) ☺ au sirop d’érable (maple syrup) ☺ au chocolat (nut free chocolate) Students are asked to bring their money on the day and to keep it safe until crêpe time. In the process of making this project happen we have made new friends, learned new skills and had fun. The project was a great success and we look forward to being able to help purchase iPads, trees or outdoor equipment for our students with the funds raised. It was particularly pleasing to see how our school community came together to achieve this great outcome. What a great example everyone has set for our students!
